A Winner Supported by a Giant Gaggle of Losers
Got this as a late comment to a post about Ron Paul, and I thought I'd share. It was posted under the name "Ronald Reagan": I like Ron Paul. He is a Vetean, and he will be a fine President. From context, I assume a Vetean is either a type of benevolent space alien or a member of a mystical suborder of the high elves. 26 Responses To "A Winner Supported by a Giant Gaggle of Losers"
Frank, I love you. But you are the wrong dude to be mocking people for making a typo. "A Winner support by a Giant Gaggle of Losers" ... do you mean "supported?" And this ain't the first. Keep the comedy coming. Don't taze me bro. [In my defense, I'm making fun of much more than the typo. -Ed.] #1 - Posted by: Jon on November 12, 2007 10:33 AMTake the beam out of your own eye . . . Maybe he meant vegan, or maybe veternarian. I thought he was a ob/gyn. #3 - Posted by: Corsair on November 12, 2007 11:12 AMTher was a race of beings on ST:Voyager called the Videans who were being systematically destroyed by a disease call the 'Phage' and they would take a crew off a ship and submit them to horrible usually fatal genetic tests in search of a cure. They would also harvest body parts off their captives to translant onto themselves. I wonder if that is the Alien race Paul hails from. #4 - Posted by: spacemonkey on November 12, 2007 11:20 AMhe is a veteRan. The person forgot an R. Heaven forbid a typo. #5 - Posted by: jeff on November 12, 2007 11:23 AMRon Paul can no longer be labeled a "long shot" candidate. He has clearly has surpassed John McCain and is now a "top tier" candidate. I have created a website to support this statement. Please visit www.thecaseforronpaul.com and judge for yourself. #6 - Posted by: Cleaner44 on November 12, 2007 11:24 AMLike cats to the sound of a can opener... Meow meow meow meow! #7 - Posted by: PaleoMedic on November 12, 2007 11:30 AMIsn't Ron Paul the only real veteran out of all the candidates? #8 - Posted by: Morpheous on November 12, 2007 11:35 AMOops. Paul and McCain but no others are vets. #9 - Posted by: Morpheous on November 12, 2007 11:37 AMElves... it's gotta be elves... his supporters get baked, then look towards 'that dude that lives in the tree and makes those wicked fudge cookies' #10 - Posted by: ChrisA on November 12, 2007 11:40 AMI'm pretty sure the Veteans are the same race of alien that visited Kucinic. You see, the aliens are planning to take us over from within. By putting such winners in place in both political parties, they ensure their control over us. Listen to Tom Cruise. Only Scientology can save us from the Veteans. #11 - Posted by: Raving Lunatic on November 12, 2007 12:07 PMMorpheus, Ron Paul has received more financial support from military servicemen than any other candidate. There were hundreds of veterans in the crowd of 5000 in Philly to see Dr. Paul this weekend, where he received the endorsement of the founder of Rolling Thunder. In the past, he has been endorsed more than once by Veterans of Foreign Wars. Are these people who fought for their country losers? I don't think so. Don't whack a vet for a typo. He might have fewer fingers than you. #12 - Posted by: Sam Marsh on November 12, 2007 12:14 PM"Ron Paul can no longer be labeled a "long shot" candidate. He has clearly has surpassed John McCain and is now a "top tier" candidate. I have created a website to support this statement. Please visit www.thecaseforronpaul.com and judge for yourself." Wow, I thought for sure your site was going to be a parody, because... well McCain *is* a long shot candidate, no one takes McCain seriously, so even if Ron Paul surpassed McCain (he hasn't) it wouldn't mean a thing. Cleaner44 = teh dumb #13 - Posted by: AR on November 12, 2007 12:46 PMOMG. I can't believe that ALL of you would miss the whole point of this. That post HAD to be meant as sarcasm since the real Ronald Reagan would never endorse Ron Paul. So, do these guys snark around all day or are they smart enough to make bots to do it for them? Paleo, that's hilarious. Ron Paul RON PAUL RON PAUL *whirrrrrrrr . . .* And here I thought Reagan (PBUH) had passed away... #16 - Posted by: AlanABQ on November 12, 2007 01:31 PMPaleo's RP cats - very funny. And RP dogs come running to the sound of cellophane wrappers being opened. Woof. #17 - Posted by: Jimmy on November 12, 2007 02:21 PMThis must have been the Ronald Reagan to whom one of the Paulestinians was referring when it implied that Ronald Reagan followed the glorious libertarian foreign policy for which Ron Paul is so famous. I knew it couldn't have been referring to the Ronald Reagan who was President of the United States.... #18 - Posted by: Master Shake on November 12, 2007 03:11 PMShame on you all for teasing the animals. Ron Paul (2008!) is the leading candidate of oxymorons!!!!!!!111!!!oneeleventy! #19 - Posted by: Rove's Pavlovian Conspiracy on November 12, 2007 03:20 PMOut of all the canidates for president, McCain probably went thorugh the worst of it for our country's freedom. He went through some of the worst shit the Vietnam war had to offer. Ron Paul? He was a surgeon in who treated pilots in the early days of Vietnam (kinda like what my dad did) #20 - Posted by: Pantera on November 12, 2007 03:34 PMWoah. Look at this freakin hot chick! #21 - Posted by: HelloRightWingPerverts on November 12, 2007 04:13 PMI can't comment on losers...I'm a pathetic Minnesota Vikings fan...sigh... On a bright note, I did attend the Iowa - Minnesota game in Iowa City last weekend and saw my beloved Hawkeyes kick the gophers asses! #22 - Posted by: ussjimmycarter on November 12, 2007 06:10 PMI love when my Tolkien geekery and right-wingedness get a chance to collide! And ussjimmycarter--it could be worse: you could be a gopher fan too, and then you'd just be pathetic. (I'm a life-long Packer & Badger fan, so while I despise the Vikings, my family hates the gophers so much that I would've probably been disowned if I ever went to school there.) #23 - Posted by: Oromin on November 12, 2007 08:19 PMOops...this is what I get for having this post and the cave troll one open at the same time... #24 - Posted by: Oromin on November 12, 2007 08:21 PMMaybe veteans are aliens in league with Scientology. Maybe Ron Paul is their leader and not Tom Cruise #25 - Posted by: John on November 13, 2007 10:39 AM"kick the gophers asses!" Going by their record, that's not really MUCH of a victory. That's like bragging about beating up aquaman. #26 - Posted by: ChrisA on November 13, 2007 01:00 PMPost a comment
