Neither would most of us. Seriously, Iowa, Huckabee? I would vote Democrat (except for Hellary) before I would vote him. That's pretty bad. I guess there's always New Hampshire, and no more Ron Paul! Go Fred!!! #1 - Posted by: MJ on January 4, 2008 08:26 AMYou have to admit that the Iowan's did drive the first stake into the heart of the beast! It will take a few others before she is dead and gone for good but it is a very good start! I much prefer Obama to "herself" although I thought Madonna would have adopted him by now...but at least he isn't a Clinton!!! #2 - Posted by: ussjimmycarter on January 4, 2008 08:48 AMAnyone else happen to notice that, given a large enough crayon, all Iowa Republicans, even the Ron Paul supporters were able to mark a ballot while the Democrats could only be herded from one side of the room to another? #3 - Posted by: Paul ADK on January 4, 2008 09:55 AMI've been to Iowa...Once. I went there with a friend when I was 19. My friends grandparents were giving him a car and we were driving it back. Once we got out of Des Moines, I was asked by my friends Grandmother what I thought of Iowa so far. "It's so flat!" I think that describes the average caucus voter in Iowa. Flat, and lacking in anything that would cause the brain to use more then 5 brain cells. I'm in New Hampshire. I am listed as an independent but I will be pulling a Republican ballot so I can vote for Fred! I will then return to the Independent group until next time. #4 - Posted by: Evilned on January 4, 2008 10:24 AMI live in Nebraska and even I have only been to Iowa once, and that was just passing through on my way to Missouri. #5 - Posted by: Andrew on January 4, 2008 10:33 AM#1 - Posted by: MJ on January 4, 2008 08:26 AM First of all, Ron Paul is probably going to do very well in New Hampshire, which will be HILARIOUS. Second of all, Hillary is the only Democrat I'd vote for if Huckabee wins the nomination, as she is a complete hack and won't do to much damage, if Obama or Edwards wins the nomination along with Huck, I'm finding a nice, comfy, third party. #6 - Posted by: AR on January 4, 2008 10:40 AMThe idiot Fraud Thomp u blog worship bearly beet Ron Paul so suck it! Paul gots 10%. He's no jok so suk it bithces. Paul will outlander Fraud bitches. #7 - Posted by: Mrrrs on January 4, 2008 10:59 AMNo. 5? What you coming to Missouri for? Sure - it's called "The Show-Me State", but did you ever here the next line? After someone said, "Show Me" - and the Missourian complied - they said, "OK - Please cover it up again." #8 - Posted by: Steamboat McGoo on January 4, 2008 11:24 AMThe only reason Fred Thompson doesn't already rule the world, is that he finds running for office amusing. #9 - Posted by: right on January 4, 2008 11:35 AMADK - That was hilarious! USSJimmyC, I hate to burst your bubble, but don't get to enthusiatsic about the beast losing. Remember that Bill only got 3% (3rd, technically 4th place) in Iowa in '92. Clintons are like zombies; they just won't die without making a mess. On the bright side, it's bound to get REAL ugly now that BO has embarrassed her. And if you think that's funny. just wait till Cynthia McKinney starts campaigning with the Green Party. #10 - Posted by: Raving Lunatic on January 4, 2008 12:20 PM#10 - Posted by: calbaer on January 4, 2008 11:43 AM Oh... my.... god! Dude, thats worth 3rd place. I knew Fred! had to have a reason for getting 3rd. #11 - Posted by: AR on January 4, 2008 12:22 PMFred is even reducing ethanol in his diet. #12 - Posted by: Igor R. on January 4, 2008 12:27 PMWhy does liberal media, like MSNBC and NPR, announce this morning that Fred and McPain shared the third place? Are they afraid of Fred more than the maverick man? #13 - Posted by: mykidsmommy on January 4, 2008 12:38 PMYesterday's Politico story that Fred Thompson was dropping out and would throw his support to McCain was a voter suppressing "dirty trick" by the McCain campaign according to Mary Matalin, who phoned, Scarborough's MORNING JOE show on MSNBC. #14 - Posted by: Sandra Mendoza on January 4, 2008 12:53 PM #6 - Posted by: AR on January 4, 2008 10:40 AM I admit, Hillary is a "hack." But having a President that will do jack crap in office is not what our country needs at the moment. We need someone with hoo-has who will clean up this mess. Hillary has the former but not the latter. Although, now that you mention it, the third party idea sounds pretty good to me. Of course, there is always the option to flee to a foreign country for eight years, starting in '09... #7 - Posted by: Mrrrs on January 4, 2008 10:59 AM I would have taken your post seriously, and possibly discussed it, if you hadn't typed it like a four year old. Just so you know. #15 - Posted by: MJ on January 4, 2008 01:07 PM#16 - Posted by: MJ on January 4, 2008 01:07 PM The way I see it is someone who does nothing is better than someone who does a lot of harm. I guess a third party would be better than Hillary if I actually knew a good one. I'm seriously considering leaving the country... just as soon as I finish my almost free college education. But then, where do I go? My German sucks and Germany is worse than America will end up being under certain people, my Latin isn't horrible but its a dead language, and I'm not very good at learning new languages. Also, I can't stand Australian accents. #16 - Posted by: AR on January 4, 2008 01:29 PM#17 - Posted by: AR on January 4, 2008 01:29 PM Perhaps we could go to Canada. Good bacon, no one will bomb us, and we could say "eh" a lot. #17 - Posted by: MJ on January 4, 2008 01:33 PM#18 - Posted by: MJ on January 4, 2008 01:33 PM Hmmm... I do like Hockey, though the political environment there isn't great, I'm sure if I asked them nicely not to overtax me they'd oblige me. Canadians *are* very nice people. #18 - Posted by: AR on January 4, 2008 02:01 PMCave Troll will only go to Iowa to crush with big rock people who didn't vote for Cave Troll! Cave Troll crush Ron Paul supporters five times - Ron Paul supporters' heads much harder to crush than human heads due to large number of rocks contained in them instead of brains. #19 - Posted by: Cave Troll 2008 on January 4, 2008 02:07 PM3 words for the folks in Iowa: "Cheap Brazilian ethanol." Fred! should call for elimination of our ridiculous foreign-ethanol tariff at every campaign stop from here on out, and twice in his inauguration address. #20 - Posted by: McBain on January 4, 2008 03:16 PMHold on there, Pilgrim. Them's fightin' words. Fred should feel right at home in the Hawkeye State. I watched a bit of the caucuses on C-Span, but it just wasn't the same as being there. Mike will be a good running mate for Fred. #21 - Posted by: ExPatriate Hawkeye on January 4, 2008 06:27 PMPost a comment
