At Least the McCain Nomination Doesn't Just Suck for Us
Posted by Frank J. at 10:15 AM | View blog reactions | Comments (39)

Now that the Republican nominee is known but the Democrat one is still up for grabs, the DNC is already trying to rally their base by pitting them against John McCain. I've already gotten a couple "We must stop McCain!" e-mails from them. It's kinda pathetic. That like trying to rally Republicans by telling us "We have to stop Joe Lieberman!"

Megaman 2008.

See? I told you he's a conservative. Liberals would only oppose a real conservative. Not like the R behind his name has anything to do with it or anything.

Hail the Heroes of the Revolution!

Comrade Marx!
Comrade Lenin!
Comrade Stalin!
Comrade Mao!
Comrade Castro!
Comrade Guevara!
Comrade Chavez!
And the new hero: COMRADE JUAN MCVAIN!

Liberals will oppose anyone who contends for their power. The simple fact that McCain is pro-war is plenty enough reason for them to villify him as they do anyone who poses a threat to them... it's the standard response of any insecure, immature, deceitful coward whose lies have given him too much responsibility and doesn't know how to deal with the pressure. But keep trolling... maybe you'll get the attention daddy never gave ya.

I have kind of made my peace with the fact that Hillary will be the next president. It’s scary, and makes me kind of sick to my stomach, but I think our next president will be a Democrat. At this point, I am just praying it’s not Obama. How could any nation take us seriously if we elected some vacuous dork with absolutely no ideas, to the presidency. That’s not to mention the fact that he’s only been in politics for what, like a week and a half now. We would be the laughing stock of the world. At least with the Wicked Witch of the West, everybody would say: “Damn, they elected that evil lesbian? She gives me the chills. Those are some crazy@$$ sonsabitches over there in the U.S., I know I’m not going to screw with them.” You know kind of like the guy in prison who burns himself with cigarettes and eats his own feeces. Even if he’s kind of attractive, no one messes with that guy.

John McCain is a conservabel or liberative. He has elements of both the far right and the far left. He seems pretty cool but kind of old and flip floppy. At least he will fight global warming with the might of the United States technology know how behind him. We can all be thankful for that. We are going to make some neat inventions that make global warming go away before it can turn Texas into a tropical rain forest.

#6 - Posted by: Nate on February 8, 2008 11:32 AM

Damn, better sell my shares in Texas Logging Co, then

#7 - Posted by: Boogs on February 8, 2008 11:44 AM

Hey Nate, I just ended Global Warming, and look, you don’t have cooties anymore. I just hunted snipe out of existence and scared all those boogeymen out from under your bed. And I did it all without wasting billions of American dollars.

Your Welcome.

#8 - Posted by: juggernaut on February 8, 2008 11:52 AM

A tropical rain forest in Texas would be cool. We wouldn't have to travel so far to exterminate a species! It would save time and money.

#9 - Posted by: cptnmoroni on February 8, 2008 11:54 AM

I get the feeling if I left today, the Wingnuts would probably continue to amuse themselves by posing fake posts for weeks...

The point is well taken, after years of saying 'If only more Republicans were like John McCain" , they can't very well come back and say, "Oh, no, not John McCain." can they? He's immunized from Democratic attacks.

My lord, we might have an election that is CIVIL and talks about issues.

#10 - Posted by: JoeB131 on February 8, 2008 11:54 AM

I also have to say that "Boogs" (#7) has to be the best screen name ever. How about a Ronin Profile, Frank?

Seriously, what in the world motivates people to become trolls? What kind of mental damage results in trolliness.

#16 - Posted by: AR on February 8, 2008 12:12 PM

Define "troll". I define a troll as someone who intentionally disrupts a board. I just talk issues.

I have to disagree with you on this one. if there's one thing that I learned from a dozen years in IT, it's that novices make smaller mistakes. It takes an experienced professional to &%$*! things up big-time.

Unfortunately my friend, I'm living in the DC area. I would be more than happy to make that trade, but I can't discuss it right now, because I have to grab my wiffleball bat and "introduce myself" to some protesters. I think they're protesting that any company in the U.S. ever makes a profit.

#27 - Posted by: juggernaut on February 8, 2008 02:05 PM

And I'm fat!

#28 - Posted by: AlanABQ on February 8, 2008 02:09 PM

Sorry, jug, that was aimed at #26.

#29 - Posted by: AlanABQ on February 8, 2008 02:10 PM

BTW, juggernaut, you can easily hot glue some razor wire to a plastic bat & it'll stay in place.

Now look at me; I'm like the Martha Stewart of ass kicking!

#30 - Posted by: AlanABQ on February 8, 2008 02:12 PM

I like to take away their daddies' credit cards, cut them into jagged pieces and glue those to the bat, that way it hurts on several levels.

Just shut up, you magic underwear-loving bigots! You better be nice to me, or I'm going to have the Pope kick your heretical asses!

#6 - Posted by: Nate on February 8, 2008 11:32 AM

What do you have against tropical rain forests? I just can't buy into this whole hysteria about global warming. It is just a cyclical global climate that has been alternately warmer and cooler. The Earth has seen many of these cycles, and this cycle is no better or worse than any given previous cycle. In the past we have had tropical rain forests at latitudes where you don't see them today. We also have had ice ages where ice covered much of North America. I'm sure that prehistoric animals experienced flatulence just as our modernhighly advanced cattle do today, but they didn't cause periods of increased temperatures in those days either. We have no record of the ancestors of the modern SUV from any of those periods, but we do have indirect evidence that suggests they didn't exist until some time during the 20th century. We still had "global climate change", despite the dearth of human influence.
I like clean air and water. I think we should develop and exploit clean energy sources. But I reject the notion that we can significantly affect the warming and cooling cycles of the Earth. Even if we did destroy the Earths environment, it would pay us back and fix all the damage itself. It has the power to do that. We on the other hand, are relatively insignificant, even considering all 6+ billion of us collectively.
Semper Fi, Go Earth!
