Stuck in Afghanistan
IMAO is happy to hear that, after their helicopter had to have an emergency landing in Afghanistan, that Senators Kerry, Biden, and Hagel are all right. We know the military will be working hard to get them back home, but we'd like to remind them that's there's no rush. We have like ninety-seven other Senators. We're good. 47 Responses To "Stuck in Afghanistan"
They can keep Hagel for all we care. Thank God he'll be gone next year. #1 - Posted by: Andrew on February 21, 2008 05:11 PMYeah, that was a close call. I'm glad to hear the helicopter is undamaged. #2 - Posted by: Jimmy on February 21, 2008 05:22 PMKerry and Hagel were forced down by weather, Biden could have gotten through but he perferred to copy them. #3 - Posted by: Brian The Adequate on February 21, 2008 05:23 PMThis sounds too good to be true. No doubt they will come back from their "harrowing" experience with a unique "insiders" perspective on all things related to Afghanistank. #4 - Posted by: TerribleTroy on February 21, 2008 05:29 PMI'm thinking they need to remain guests of the military for a while. You know eat what they eat, sleep where they sleep, do what they do. I'm thinking a month ought to do it. Once they experience deprivation I'm thinking they won't be so quick to cut funding. They also need to understand we could send them back anytime, as advisors, consultants whatever. As we could any other member of Congress including Nanny Nancy. Think of it as being grounded to their room, or being sent to boot camp. #5 - Posted by: seanmahair on February 21, 2008 05:33 PMNo truth to the reports that mechanical errors were due to the fact that Biden and Kerry thought their being on the helicopter's left and Hagel being on the right was "balanced". #6 - Posted by: Bradley on February 21, 2008 05:33 PMTheir chopper was obviously hit by shrapnel from the falling spy satellite. It was a plot by the evil BusHitler regime to silence their patriotic voices of dissent and surrender!
I do question the pilot's judgment, though, since he didn't jettison the passengers to improve his lift-to-weight ratio. #8 - Posted by: Master Shake on February 21, 2008 05:41 PMDid they know the Senators were on the way? I bet the Taliban and Al Qaeda get excited when the important people are coming in helicopters and try to shoot at them. The Taliban wouldn't be very safe if John Kerry had a gun. Kerry used to go around killing the enemy in Vietnam so he knows how do it. He can be pretty ruthless and he has lots of experience in war. #9 - Posted by: Nate on February 21, 2008 05:48 PMNate / fake Nates you make me smile. I didn't think there were any people out there like you. Even if someone is posting fake Nates it's still a hoot and a half. John Kerry would probably shoot himself in the foot if he ever tried to fire a weapon. He is NOT a war hero, he is a fake, a phony and a insult to our fine fighting men and women. That he is brain dead enough to put himself in the company of actual fighting men and women shows how out of touch he is with reality. Sorry to break your bubble, but Kerry is a Koward with a capital K. #10 - Posted by: seanmahair on February 21, 2008 05:54 PMSenator is not a coward! He would shoot as many Taliban in the back as he could. Or he would use a knife instead. He has lots of practice stabbing troops in the back. #11 - Posted by: Nate on February 21, 2008 06:06 PMSenator Kerry, that is. I am such a silly goose! #12 - Posted by: Nate on February 21, 2008 06:07 PMYou guys are hilarious. I only wish I'd found you sooner. #13 - Posted by: Rhia on February 21, 2008 06:14 PMKerry tripped over the skid while exiting the chopper - he insisted on being awarded a purple heart. #14 - Posted by: DamnCat on February 21, 2008 06:19 PMThe point is, Rhia, you did. Now, put on a thick skin and stick around. The hosts here have automatic weapons (of humor). #15 - Posted by: Jimmy on February 21, 2008 06:20 PMYa, and he was against the landing before he was for it. The creep. #16 - Posted by: Jimmy on February 21, 2008 06:21 PMThe memory of chuck hagel's screams during the landing are seared ...seared in my... oh never mind. #17 - Posted by: hwy93 on February 21, 2008 07:28 PMSenator Kerry killed like 21 people when he was in Vietnam. Of course he is a war hero. Everyone knows the swiftboat attack were lies. That's why people make fun of swiftboating now in politics. #18 - Posted by: Nate on February 21, 2008 07:33 PMRhia, please go along with us and don't try to find out if Nate is for real. I suspect this is a case where understanding the magic would be to ruin it. #19 - Posted by: George on February 21, 2008 07:35 PMOn a more serious note, John Kerry had his ass clinched so tight his Botox doc may have to send his children to government schools. #20 - Posted by: Dohtimes on February 21, 2008 07:44 PMI think anyone who questions how tough John Kerry was in Vietnam is pretty much one of the biggest losers ever. Even the swift boats peeps have come and said they were huge liars so it is true that John Kerry killed so many enemies and slaughtered them with his knives and guns on his boats at overwhelming odds when surrounded by angry Vietnam warriors. #21 - Posted by: Nate on February 21, 2008 07:53 PMI take anything said about Kerry's war record with a ton of salt. Since he managed to lie his way to purple hearts and then turned around and slandered his fellow fighting men. So either he lied or he LIED. You can't have it both ways. I not going to try to change you mind since I know what it feels like to be beat up for my opinion, but you really need to get out more. Do a little research, reading the Swift Boat Vets book would be a good start. Hey Nate, Did you know that Kerry's callsign was RAMBO during the war.... #23 - Posted by: TerribleTroy on February 21, 2008 08:23 PM"Did they know the Senators were on the way? I bet the Taliban and Al Qaeda get excited when the important people are coming in helicopters and try to shoot at them." Why would they shoot at their allies? #24 - Posted by: AR on February 21, 2008 08:30 PMI'm surprised that you homophobes haven't blamed the gay orgy that the Senators were having in back for the crash! #25 - Posted by: Nate on February 21, 2008 09:04 PMWhy would they shoot at their allies? They wouldn't. Those Senators are our American Senators. It is wrong of you to insinuate that they are Taliban friends. There's nothing funny about saying something like that. It makes me think that maybe you are the traitor peep or perhaps just an a**hole. #26 - Posted by: Nate on February 21, 2008 10:05 PMI'm sorry about the traitor accusation. I forgot they aren't American Senators - they're Democrat Senators. #27 - Posted by: Nate on February 21, 2008 10:31 PMI'm sorry the Other Nate posted #27. I would never apologize to a liar scum like AR. #28 - Posted by: Nate on February 21, 2008 10:33 PMJon Carry should have studied harder at Yale, so he wouldn't get stuck in Afghanistan. #29 - Posted by: Socrates on February 21, 2008 10:37 PMSure am glad the Pilot had an education. "You know, education -- if you make the most of it, you study hard and you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. "If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq." "It makes me think that maybe you are the traitor peep or perhaps just an a**hole." "I'm sorry the Other Nate posted #27. I would never apologize to a liar scum like AR." Hehehe I've never felt so good about myself. Question: Is there actually a 'real' Nate? "It is wrong of you to insinuate that they are Taliban friends." I didn't insinuate anything. I came out and said it. Also, Al Qaeda, You forgot Al Qaeda. "It makes me think that maybe you are the traitor peep or perhaps just an a**hole." Funny how some people seem to think being against treachery is treacherous, but treachery isn't treacherous. Not really sure how that makes sense. The second thing is true however, I am an a**hole, and I'm proud of it. It comes with being better than people, and I am better than people, especially people like you. #31 - Posted by: AR on February 21, 2008 11:27 PMNo way! I am certainly not real. See the Can Lame Ducks Blow Up Satellites in Space? thread. #32 - Posted by: Nate on February 21, 2008 11:36 PM#29 - by Socrates Come on, Socrates, Jon Carry didn't go to Yale. He's in Hollywood making movies like Bruce Almighty. #33 - Posted by: Jimmy on February 22, 2008 12:18 AM#32 was the Other Nate. Gosh that Other Nate is trying to drive me crazy! #34 - Posted by: Nate on February 22, 2008 12:19 AMRemeniscient of Jenga Con is Jon Carry. He pulled out a piece, it toppled onto his wrist, he was awarded a purpler hart. He was after all playing with Jon Eatwortz, who could not pull out the pieces, and if the pile fell on him, would have crushed him. Jon Eatwortz could chant Jenga Jenga Jenga before passing out from exhaustion. Then came Barrack Assumea. He gave them hope for a change, and pride in a game well played. #35 - Posted by: GregVolk on February 22, 2008 02:04 AMThoity doity boids woir sittin on a coib, choipin an a boipin an eatin doity woims. When along comes Moit an his cousin Boit. When they saw the thoity doity boids sittin on a coib, choipin an a boipin an eatin doity woims, they was petoibed. And then they became Senators and Congressmen. #36 - Posted by: Jimmy on February 22, 2008 02:24 AMEven the swift boats peeps have come and said they were huge liars Hmm... is that the official NYT stance? Because if they said so, then it must be true. Chuckles Hagel & John Kerry-bot really ought to see if their political claims to fame are as bulletproof as they say. I really want Kerry to start spouting his anti-war nonsense in front of his military hosts with Hagel nodding his head like a good little flunky. There just might be an incident of "friendly fire". And they can just trade Biden for some cigarettes, as those would be less harmful for them than Democrat policy. #37 - Posted by: AlanABQ on February 22, 2008 04:02 AMIf I'm in the military and my copter starts to experience problems, I start throwing everything that has no value out the door... #38 - Posted by: ussjimmycarter on February 22, 2008 07:25 AMI'm sure that is the new liberal line but just because someone keeps repeating over and over again, say, the sky is green, does not make it so. They did not lie, he did. If you look at his political history, without rose colored glasses, you will see that he will say anything that will: The difference between the liberal elite and consevatives is liberals read Orwells "1984" and said "hey we could so do this" in comparison to conservatives, "not in my country". #39 - Posted by: seanmahair on February 22, 2008 10:16 AMI'm sure that is the new liberal line but just because someone keeps repeating over and over again, say, the sky is green, does not make it so. Man, I hate that. #41 - Posted by: seanmahair on February 22, 2008 10:17 AMjust because someone keeps repeating over and over again, say, the sky is green, does not make it so. #39 - Posted by: seanmahair Hey, if Al Gore, Harry Reid or one of his cohorts says something over and over again it MUST be true. Water boarding IS torture and Global Warming DOES exist, damn you! #42 - Posted by: juggernaut on February 22, 2008 10:48 AMOh, and murdering babies is a choice. #43 - Posted by: juggernaut on February 22, 2008 10:50 AMHeh, I heard this and figured the next story was going to be a group of two dozen imams issuing a fatwa against some surprised-looking guy in Afghanistan holding an RPG. "What!?!? I was trying to help!" #44 - Posted by: James on February 22, 2008 10:53 AMJuggernaut, Only if one is reality challenged......wait a minute. Oh never mind. #45 - Posted by: seanmahair on February 22, 2008 01:28 PM//Oh, and murdering babies is a choice. It's not just a choice- it's Constitutional! I still have trouble finding it, but the left keeps assuring me that it's in there. #46 - Posted by: AlanABQ on February 22, 2008 03:05 PMPrivacy is inherent in the Constitution, just like the right to travel. "Secure in their persons, papers, and effects" is even stated explicitly in the Fourth Amendment. Post a comment
