If Obama wins the nomination will Clinton be the Dem. nominee? I foster that hope. Can I convince you of it?

Isn't it funny that the NYT story about Maverick rumored him to have an affair with Iseman? So Top Gun-Ish, I wonder if there's a story about Jester and Goose on the horizon.

Of course the thread is open. So have at it.

Vince Foster? Am I missing something?

#1 - Posted by: AR on February 23, 2008 01:18 PM

Let's just say if I were Obama, I wouldn't go near Fort Marcy Park anytime soon.

#2 - Posted by: Andrew on February 23, 2008 01:35 PM

Vince Foster was a Clinton staffer who mysteriously "killed himself"
After he became implemented in some of the Clinton scandals.

#3 - Posted by: warlord conservative on February 23, 2008 01:36 PM

Heheh, the Clintons surrounded by mysterious deaths? That can't be... again... I don't think so though. They are all focusing on trying to take out the REAL opponent: Ron Paul.

#4 - Posted by: Rubeus on February 23, 2008 01:37 PM

Nah, if the Clinton machine were gonna take out the Obamamessiah, he would not get a Vince Foster suicide treatment. He would be much more useful as a full blown martyr. Therefore it would go down as a very public, probably messy assassination by a neo-nazi or klansman who was then shot by security so the trail ends at the lone nut. Hildabeast could then vampire onto the Obama charisma by claiming to be running to honor his memory.

#5 - Posted by: Brian the Adequate on February 23, 2008 01:49 PM

Brian,
That was much more than adequate. :)
If anything happens to Obama 'on purpose'(there are of course traffic accidents but it would not work for her as well, though it may work) that is just how it will go down.

#6 - Posted by: Nylecoj on February 23, 2008 02:04 PM

I sure hope Hillary doesn't kill Obama. That would be mean.

#7 - Posted by: Nate on February 23, 2008 02:05 PM

Do Not Want Barack Obama

Throughout history lean folks are the meanest
Barack Obama he too is one of the leanest
Osama, Scrooge and the Grinch - they were all thin
Do evil thoughts also lurk behind Obama's big grin?

Obama smokes like a tall chimney stack.
He poses on the beach showing off his flat rack.
He drags on the cigs because of his anxiety.
He did lots of drugs too. I question his sobriety.

Liberal lattes voting because they feel bad.
voting because of that is dumb and sad.
They think Obama will absolve them for slavery.
It's time to move on. Stop this crazy behavery.

Obama's young followers in masses they gather
Believe him they do. No wrong in his blather.
He lies about weapons and they swallow it whole.
They don't even care about all the lines he stole

Why did we ever let these young people vote?
They march around thinking hope can float.
They are young and dumb. What a bunch of pricks.
I think the voting age should be twenty-six

Don't want this hope. Don't want this change.
Like Frank J. says with Obama it really is hange.
I don't need his religion. I think it is lame.
Do Not Want Barack Obama. I long for the same.

#8 - Posted by: Sarcasm Man on February 23, 2008 02:29 PM

Who is this mysterious "Obama" person? Is this another Muslim terrorist that the media does not report about? Has he made threats against the Clintons?

#9 - Posted by: Two Dogs on February 23, 2008 02:51 PM

They could also "Ron Brown" him.

#10 - Posted by: Alan on February 23, 2008 04:39 PM

In all seriousness, what are the party rules if something causes a nominee to become incapacitated? Does this factor into Huckabee's determination to crawl past Romney into 2nd place? If Barama gets pushed in front of a train or McCain has an infarction after the convention, what happens?

#11 - Posted by: innominatus on February 23, 2008 06:12 PM

We'll know Tuesday, spacemonkey, just how desperate Hallarious could become. The SS protection of Obama will no doubt triple afterwards. Now as to McCain, if he doesn't make it to the convention for some reason, you can bet Huckamuck will find himself cast adrift by party regulars - somewhere in the Caribbean. It's all about power. And Huckabee ain't got it.

#12 - Posted by: Jimmy on February 23, 2008 06:25 PM

Hillary could easily do away with Barry O. I mean after all, this is the guy who could get shot just going to the gas station. If that did happen, Michelle could blame all of white America & Hillary could be the next Black President after all.

Of course, when I say Black President, I'm not referring to skin color.

#13 - Posted by: AlanABQ on February 23, 2008 06:30 PM

So the NYT publishes an article hinting that McCain might have had an affair 20 years ago; and when their readers take them to task over it, they whine about it. Is the American public that desperate for some kind of scandal?

#14 - Posted by: nyexpat on February 23, 2008 08:16 PM

when I'm sad I like to think about Things i like. Some things I like include moonbeams, sun's rays, leopards, God, pretty flowers, rainbows, Godiva chocolate, software, office supplies,
beautiful paintings, boobs, nerf toys, kittens, mittens, boomerangs and oreos. What kinds of things do you all like?

#15 - Posted by: Nate on February 23, 2008 08:39 PM

It wasn't actually about an affair. It was about lobbyists. Lobbyists have become a bad word. Going negative on McCain is pointless since he is never going to win against Obama anyway. Maybe the left is just trying to make themselves feel better about their future vote for Obama by bringing down John McCain.

#16 - Posted by: Nate on February 23, 2008 08:50 PM

Michelle Obama:

"Barack Obama WILL REQUIRE YOU to work. He is going to DEMAND that you shed your cynicism. That you put down your divisions. That you come out of your isolation and that you move out of your comfort zone. That you push yourselves to be better. And that you engage.

Barack will NEVER ALLOW YOU to go back to your lives as usual – uninvolved, uninformed – you have to stay at the seat at the table of democracy with a man like Barack Obama not just on Tuesday but in a year from now, in four years from now, in eights years from now, YOU WILL HAVE TO BE ENGAGED."

Source: http://obamamessiah.blogspot.com

I don't want to be engaged. Leave us alone Barack and Michelle. George W. Bush was better than you.

#17 - Posted by: Sarcasm Man on February 23, 2008 09:41 PM

..REQUIRE YOU...DEMAND...NEVER ALLOW YOU...
YOU WILL HAVE TO...

Yay, I hope everything that's not forbidden becomes mandatory. Free will is the past, we need change!

Doesn't really sound like the typical Nate post. However, I would like to point out that boobs and nerf toys are, in some cases, the same thing. Nerf knockers, or natural, doesn't really matter, they're all real on the outside where it counts.
Semper Fidelis

#19 - Posted by: echo5a on February 23, 2008 11:10 PM

Follow the bodies. Barak is somewhat safe due to the fact that he is a high profile target. Once someone gets away with murder however they are emboldened to try it again. Hence the body count trailing the Clintons.

Lack of free will = Father of Lies

Guess which side Osamabama is on. By their fruits shall ye know them.

#20 - Posted by: seanmahair on February 23, 2008 11:15 PM

Sorry came across this and just have to say
Anti War I want to see a list of these traitors. While it's their choice to say and do as they wish, it is my choice to not support their way of life. So, maybe when they stop selling records and they have to sell their palatial mansions and start being greeters at Wal Mart they will understand the theory of KARMA.

#21 - Posted by: seanmahair on February 23, 2008 11:37 PM

Did anybody else see SNL Saturday night? They opened with the "Democrat debate from Texas", and it was at least as informative as the real one must have been. In the SNL version though, the media were honest about their love affair with Obama. Plus, they didn't have the candidates actually say anything substantive, so it was really similar to the real debate, but there was less chance of you vomitting.

And then Mike Huckabee was on the show later, and Tina Fey had a 5 minute commercial for Hilary during Weekend Update. Anybody else remeber when SNL used do funny stuff like this instead of spending half the show sucking up to the Liberal Left? Ah, the good old days.

#22 - Posted by: Ernie Loco on February 24, 2008 01:19 AM

It was funny when Tina said in support of Hillary that "Bitch is the new black." That was fun. I love Tina Fey and Hillary so much. I would like to give them some pretty flowers.

#23 - Posted by: Nate on February 24, 2008 01:50 AM

There might be reason to worry about the Obamessiah. Bush and the GOP may have the White House but the Socislist DNC is back in control of the Congress and there is 40 years of Socialist infiltration into every corner of the Federal government infrastructure. Why were police ordered to relax the security at the huge Obama rallies?
The DNC NEEDS black America to feel alienated and dependent on them. A Black man being elected or even just having a serious run with wide spread popular support from all corners would be a devestating blow to their efforts to foster racial hatred. The Dems want him a new martyr.

#24 - Posted by: BLC on February 24, 2008 02:35 AM

The album was put together by Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder, who composed the first single, "No War," specifically for the film. Pearl Jam's live version of Bob Dylan's "Masters of War" also graces the soundtrack.

Springsteen contributed "Devils & Dust," and Neil Young "The Restless Consumer." Other tracks include "Yo George" from Tori Amos, "Son of a Bush" from Public Enemy, and "Bushonomics" from Talib Kweli & Cornel West.

Wow, Tori Amos, Public Enemy and Cornel West! This will be fantastic, the only that will make it more awesome will be Pearl Jam 10 years past its prime, Springsteen 20 years past his prime, and Neil Young 30 years past his prime! (yes, I apologize for knocking Springsteen)

The thing I like I best lately is Mellencamp quietly dealing with the McCain camp to stop using "This is Our Country." Apparently, it’s not selling out to have that song on every damn Chevy commercial on the planet, but he has to keep his principles.

#25 - Posted by: WAL on February 24, 2008 03:10 AM

To crush Democrats, see them driven before me and hear the lamentations of their women. (Which is actully most of them, regardless of gender)

#26 - Posted by: on February 24, 2008 07:45 AM

Sorry for knocking Springsteen, sean? Don't be. He's never been anything worthwhile. His "Born in the USA" was a slap in the face to veterans. Read the lyrics.

He's just another liberal putz.

#27 - Posted by: Socrates on February 24, 2008 08:20 AM

In all seriousness, what are the party rules if something causes a nominee to become incapacitated?

Perhaps the rules have changed since 1976, but, back then, the Democrats nominated seriously incaapacitated Jimmy Carter, and he won the election, which entitled him to pretend to be President for four years and be attacked by a killer wabbit.

#28 - Posted by: Silicon Valley Jim on February 24, 2008 10:50 AM

Neil Young 30 years past his prime!

And probably not an American citizen. He was definitely born and raised in Canada, although he lives in, I think, Redwood City or Woodside, about twenty-five miles south of San Francisco.

#29 - Posted by: Silicon Valley Jim on February 24, 2008 11:00 AM

You can't knock springsteen any more than his music already does. The only passable thing he ever produced was "The River" (and even to enjoy that you have to ignore the somewhat non-euclidean geometry of the the terrain he describes in the song).

#30 - Posted by: George on February 24, 2008 12:06 PM

If Hillary wins Texas and Ohio I will be super happy but I'm worried I'm going to be sad and the nation is going to be sad because Obama will wins it all. Bitches get stuff done like Tina Fey saying on SNL. That's why we need a bitch like Hillary as our next president (or war hero Mr. McCain). She strong. Obama is weak pathetic man. Mean Sarcasm Man told me he is going to erase me soon forever. Will you all help keep me alive on this blog if he does?

#31 - Posted by: Nate on February 24, 2008 01:37 PM

Shame on you spacemonkey!!

#32 - Posted by: Jimmy on February 24, 2008 02:35 PM

Ralph Nader has announced! I think IMAO should get 100% behind his candidacy and support him all the way! Watching him drain votes from BO will be great fun...unless BO is "tits up" in Ft Marcy Park with Smokey The Bear leading the investigation...

#33 - Posted by: ussjimmycarter on February 24, 2008 02:37 PM

Shame on you!! God, I love it when Hillary gets mad. My mom used to say that to us kids back in the stone age and I haven't heard it for years. Shame on you, ussjimmycarter! I just love saying it. The politics of shame.

No one ever advised Hillary that her personality ALONE is enough not to vote for her? That's why white men have moved en masse to Obama. At least the guy is pleasant.

#34 - Posted by: Jimmy on February 24, 2008 02:47 PM

Darth Nader '08! May The Force (of Gaia) Be With You!

#35 - Posted by: on February 24, 2008 02:49 PM

#36 - Posted by: AlanABQ on February 24, 2008 02:54 PM

Nader is unsafe at any speed.

Maybe IMAO is trying to tell you something, Alan. Or it's just spacemonkey messing with your mind.

#37 - Posted by: Jimmy on February 24, 2008 02:58 PM

At least the guy is pleasant.

Obama is pleasant? Wow Jimmy. It sounds like Obama sure has you under his spell. We need to get you well. My uncle is a powerful warlock and he came up with this great recipe for people suffering from Barack Attack. Take one eye of newt (substitute with an oreo cookie), three crystallized rose petals, a milliliter of scorpion semen (can substitute with soy milk), a spec of dried chicken or pig flesh and basil and mix it all in a glass of Perrier. Drink. Rest for five hours. Wake up with your mind free of Obama fever!

#38 - Posted by: Nate on February 24, 2008 05:26 PM

Awwww. What a cute song. I love Disney movies so much.

#39 - Posted by: Nate on February 24, 2008 05:29 PM

#25,

Maybe it is the young person in me, or the metalhead in me, but I have only heard of three of those singers you mentioned. Mainly Public Enemy, because they are just classic and they also did some work with Anthrax.

Or maybe it is because those bands are all the fuity ones that you can't headbang to, and hence I don't bother myself with them? Seriously, how do you headbang to Springsteen?

#40 - Posted by: Michael R. on February 24, 2008 07:15 PM

War? Are you all talkin' about fightin' for treaaye? Well blow me down? I just love me some battles against lubbers. Got t' fight for t' gold and t' beauties. Anyone who won't fight be a bilge rat. Give me death, war and blood any day and I'll be one happy pirate. There's nothin' better than war, grog and beauties. I want as many o' me fellow pirates t' die in battle as can be possible. Dyin' in battle be t' only good way t' go.

Obama dressed in muslim garb on his Kenya trip. Not sure how accurate that link is I found. I do know Obama refuses to wear nice USA pin and refuses to hold his hand over his heart during pledge. I am no Obama fan. That is no secret. He is a false God like on Stargate SG-1 - one of my favorite shows of alloftime!

#46 - Posted by: Tempus Fugit on February 25, 2008 02:48 AM

#46

Or the American presidency. Unfortunately, there are those who'll just give it to him.

And that actually relates to this open thread. Public Enemy (heh. As though a bunch of angry racists make all that much difference...) had a song, years ago when they were less irrelevant than they are now, called "Pollywanna".

Get it? (Polly want a cracker...). It was about interracial relationships & how it was detrimental to the inherent blackness that we get to put up with & call "empowerment" now; disagreeing would be racist, so that's why black comedians can use race as a funny anecdote, but the rest of us cannot use the term 'niggardly' because, even though it is a totally relevant term, it sounds like a racial slur...

# 27 Socrates,
The sorry was for posting twice in a row. I like to take turns and I don't think what I have to say is more important than what someone else has to say.

I don't usually look at the news or internet on Sunday, it punctures the calm peacefulness of my day, so I missed your post.

I have no problem calling a traitor a traitor, like the Dixie Chicks before them, we need to simply stop buying their trash. It's our right to vote with our wallets and I do. Not only did our family stop buying their CD's but we also threw the ones we had away and deleted their songs from our I-Pods.

I wouldn't stop them from doing or saying whatever they want, but I don't have to listen to it.
