Everyone Knows Ron Paul
Posted by Frank J. at 10:22 AM | View blog reactions | Comments (24)

Whatever happened to the Ronulans? Did they catch their comet? Anyway, here's an interesting poll that asks whether people will definitely vote for or against a certain candidate. For Ron Paul, 10% would definitely vote for him while 59% would definitely vote against him. That means 69% of Americans have a strong opinion on Ron Paul (only 67% had such an opinion on McCain). If the Ronulans' goal was to get Ron Paul's name out there, they really succeeded.

Who is this Ron Paul of whom you are speaking?

Im waiting for the inevitable Nader / Paul unholy alliance. They could call it the "Crazy Train", and use the Crazy Train Ozzy Osbourn song as the theme.... ALL ABOARD ah hah ah hah ah hah ah hah....

#2 - Posted by: TerribleTroy on February 26, 2008 10:48 AM

I notice you never spell his name wrong.

#3 - Posted by: comatus on February 26, 2008 10:58 AM

Ron Paul is running as a spoiler for the lunatic fringe vote. Sadly, it may be the difference in the election.

Ron Paul is a nice man. He promised to give everyone all the gold they could eat, free gift cards to Borders, and free one-way trips to Israel for all the Jews in the U.S.

Ron Paul....is that Ru Paul's brother?

#6 - Posted by: on February 26, 2008 12:25 PM

Ron Paul... Ron Paul...?

Nope. Doesn't ring a bell.

#7 - Posted by: AlanABQ on February 26, 2008 12:47 PM

Wait, is that Fi Del's brother down there Cuba way?

#8 - Posted by: seanmahair on February 26, 2008 02:41 PM

I think the most interesting thing about this new poll is that we can safely assume that 10% of the population will do anything.

#9 - Posted by: NeoconNews.com on February 26, 2008 02:54 PM

I guess I’m a few days behind. Ron Paul announced that he will NOT run as an independent for President on Feb 23. OK, so this Ron Paul bashing is all irrelevant. Fun, but irrelevant!

Ronulans are very much there. I'm curious about McCainiacs - the RINO supporters. Paul is the only true conservative in GOP. The fact that the other so-called conservatives shunned him and ignored his ideas shows how populist and watered down their supposed conservatism has become. War on terror is the war we refuse to fight since 1993 at least. Inital response in Afghanistan was more or less on the money, but it petered out into this coalition mess. Iraq - a mission almost purely to shore up UN's respectability. UN, a useless organization that passes useless resolutions that it is unable and unwilling to enforce. Another reason to get involved there again was that our Saudi "friends" again (as in 1990)started getting worried that Iraq has restored its military to the point of becoming a dangerous contender again. If it was decided to call Hussein's bluff of nuclear/WMD weapons - that should've been the extent of our mission. We should've went in, done whatever necessary to make sure there was no threat to our security from that country and gotten out. No more, no less. McCain's 100 year Iraq war proposition is ludicrous. His opposition to tax cuts, to necessary interrogation techniques, to Gitmo, to closing borders and stopping illegal immigration and dealing appropriately with illegals already here, his unconstitutional McCain/Feingold bill make him a disaster. Just the fact that he served in the army (crashed five (count'em - 5!) planes in training)and was captured and spent 5 years as POW should not be the reason to get elected as POTUS over someone with much more sound ideas.

Hmm, I must have missed the memo where the definition of "true conservative" was changed to conform to Libertarianism. I think you left out the part where "true conservatism" means free pot for everyone.

#12 - Posted by: Master Shake on February 26, 2008 04:12 PM

Oh, good. I was worried that all the Paulbots had evaporated, but heeeeeeeeere's Alex!

#13 - Posted by: AlanABQ on February 26, 2008 05:03 PM

I got lost after he suggested the War on Iraq was purely to make the UN look good.

First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you lose while getting 59% of the country to hate you. Then they ridicule you some more.

Sour grapes. It's time for my Fred Thompson mid-afternoon nap.

Libertarians seem to like Ron Paul. Libertarians talk big, but in the end, all they want is to be left alone so they can get on with smoking their pot and masturbating to internet prawn.

That's not true, 17! We also like to shoot guns and laugh at panhandlers!

#18 - Posted by: CTD on February 26, 2008 09:27 PM

I see the R__ P____, R__ P____, R__ P____ incantation still summons the demons from their home in the nether world. I wonder if it will still work after the election?

#19 - Posted by: George on February 26, 2008 09:29 PM

Starbucks closed for 3 hours today so that the combined energy of all the unshaven baristas could be harnessed to create the new super candidate Ronnader!

#20 - Posted by: Blackdog on February 26, 2008 10:52 PM

#17: Finally, someone who understands. Vote no on Net Neutrality and no on the Bilderbergers' plans for a North American Union. Also, no tin foil taxes.

#21 - Posted by: Effeminem on February 26, 2008 10:53 PM

#17 Who are you really?

Not to be a stickler but "internet PRAWN". That does not paint a pretty picture, a smelly one, a disturbed one but not pretty. It is wrong on sooooooooo many levels. Spell check people, spell check.

Watch the next time I post I'll be prawned.

#22 - Posted by: seanmahair on February 27, 2008 02:56 PM

Yeah, the Paul guy. Sheesh.

Pro constitution, pro gun, pro life, smaller taxes, smaller government.

What a wack job.

#23 - Posted by: on February 28, 2008 05:56 PM

The ronulans are all hiding so folks think their cloaking device is working.
