Yeah! Go Hillary! #1 - Posted by: HILforPREZ on March 5, 2008 01:40 AMUh oh... we seem to be going back in time. There's an incongruity between the time this was posted & previous posts... Electing Hillary would be a step backwards, too. #2 - Posted by: AlanABQ on March 5, 2008 06:02 AMYes, it is good not to speak the name of Huckabee, even though I still say it's not racist fearmongering just to use his last name. It's his name, after all, and he should be proud of it no matter how silly it sounds. It's good that he dropped out. I've started hearing people use 'huckabee' as a metaphor for hanging in there until defeat is metaphysically certain. #3 - Posted by: Sarcrates on March 5, 2008 09:42 AMYou guys don't realize how hard it was to cross over and vote for Hilary!!! I can only HOPE it gets rid of Obama and the type of CHANGE he wants. maytag - I can only imagine the horror you experienced last night. Though it hardly seems sufficent compensation for enduring such a gruesome travial, all I can say is "Thank you". President Reagan had a great sense of humor. I think he and would have loved the way you helped to confound an America-hating liberal last night. Hats off to you. #5 - Posted by: DamnCat on March 5, 2008 10:12 AMOh. Good morning President Clinton and Vice President Obama. #6 - Posted by: Jimmy on March 5, 2008 11:25 AMI'm worried Jimmy's right. How can we get Obama off the ticket completely? Even if Hillary wins they will probably stick her with the messiah at the convention. That's sad. No one wants to be stuck with a stupid messiah. #7 - Posted by: Nate on March 5, 2008 11:35 AMJimmy has it right. That is the real danger we are playing with here. If she beats him, he will go on her ticket, and they most likely would win together. My real HOPE is that they continue tear each other apart, and he defeats her but comes out weakened. She can't get the pledged delegates she needs, but there is no way she is going away after winning TX and OH, so the chaos we seek is a real possibility. The only way she beats him is if the party super delegates don't follow the wishes of the pledged delegates, which would be wicked fun to watch the public outrage, but would most likely result in a deal to put him on the ticket, so ultimately not so good. He brings her a lot of voters that she wouldn't otherwise get. I really HOPE they can't make nice. On one hand I don't think she is capable of playing nice, but on the other hand I know she is capable of doing ANYTHING to get into power. Certainly can't say this isn;t interesting/fascinating. Kind of like playing with matches or loaded firearms. #8 - Posted by: CraigO on March 5, 2008 11:38 AMSHE already is making noises about including him on the ticket with her. I can't be too excited about him getting a little beat down yesterday. The two of them on a single ticket could be very formidable and if....sigh...if they won, I think that they could prove more dangerous than matches OR loaded firearms. A lot more. #9 - Posted by: neocon cowgirl on March 5, 2008 11:52 AMHitlery/Obamahammed '08: Hail Satan! Hitlery/Obamahammed '08: Now you don't have to choose between the lesser of two evils! Hitlery/Obamahammed '08: Setting back feminism and race relations 50 years! Hitlery/Obamahammed '08: Death to America! #10 - Posted by: Master Shake on March 5, 2008 12:27 PMI am so sorry. Be careful what you wish for, I have always wanted to vote in a competative primary here in Indiana. Somehow I never envisioned the choice being between whether I thought the Obamination or Hildabeast would be more beatable as the top of the Demoncrap ticket. Arrrrrgggggghhhhhhhh! #11 - Posted by: Brian The Adequate on March 5, 2008 12:54 PMI am not so sure that Obama would want to be Hillary's VP. She would need him on the ticket much more than he needs to be on it. He is a realatively young man that could have an excellent chance of winning the presidency outright in 2012 or 2016. A VP slot would be tempting but, assuming he slides out of the Rezko scandal with only minor bruising, I would not expect him to want to anywhere near anyone with ethics as questionable as Bill & Hillary's. If he doesn't win the nomination he'd be better off biding his time in the Senate - pushing through some high-profile bills. He would still have an excellent chance of being elected president someday. And, I think, a better chance if he is never Hillary's VP. #12 - Posted by: DamnCat on March 5, 2008 12:57 PMIt was kinda creepy standing in line with all those Dems yesterday, knowing that you are just messing with the system - but it was worth it. Couldn't do the caucus though. Not sure that I could have withstood their evil incantations: "Universal Health care" "Jobs going overseas" "Overpaid corporate CEOs". As it was I had to go home, shower and burn my clothes. #13 - Posted by: sleeper on March 5, 2008 01:16 PM#12 - Posted by: DamnCat on March 5, 2008 12:57 PM Huckawho? Didn't they make a movie a couple years ago about someone with that name? #15 - Posted by: James on March 5, 2008 01:56 PMI'm afraid we may be seeing a lot of Governor Huckleberry - especially if McCain loses in November. The Huckster will try to position himself as the leading Republican contender for the 2012. At least if McCain wins we won't hear so much from him until he tries to set himself up for 2016. Another reason (as if Obama and Clinton weren't enough) to support McCain despite some disagreements and misgivings I may have about him. #14 - Posted by: Kenashimame I like the idea of Hillary as UN Ambassador. We like the UN about as much as we like Hill, so it just makes sense to foist her on them. In fact, they deserve each other. #17 - Posted by: AlanABQ on March 5, 2008 02:41 PMI would like to apologize for the comments made on this right-wing extremist blog. I have nothing but the utmost respect for Senators Clinton and Obama - hell, I plan to vote for one of them! McCain '08: Almost as manly as Hillary! #18 - Posted by: John McCain on March 5, 2008 04:13 PMI'm John Kerry and I'm reporting for duty. When my party calls in the fall and asks for me to intercede, I shall answer my countries call and shall step up and take my parties nomination for POTUS. I will have no other choice because I am a war hero who got lot's of medals because of my valor in Vietnam and then came home and married several cash machines as part of my path to national glory. #19 - Posted by: ussjimmycarter on March 5, 2008 05:43 PMPost a comment
