I'm quickly tiring of the 'but you HAVE to vote for McCain' admonishments from talk radio hosts. No, I don't. Apparently I've bought into a lifetime of feminist rhetoric that told me I didn't need to 'settle'. I'm not going to start here, that's for sure!

Frank J.'s 2016 Presidential candidacy starter kit:

1. Start live blogging political events at IMAO (like HotAir and Ace, but much funnier).

2. Start "My Political Planks (Pranks?)" category and write articles for it. Your platform needs 'fleshing out.'

3. Provide graphical testimonials from hippies you've punched. (Hell, stage them if you have to.)

4. Invite terrorists for an internet debate and then kill them remotely with Harvey's DDOS attacks (that's "Distributed Denial of Sanity").

5. Come up with more slogans, like,

Frank J. '16: "If they would rather die, we had better help them, and decrease the surplus Muslim population."

It's everyone's perogative to do this, but if you do, then please don't complain that the Messiah's administration, including the fact that tinpot wackjobs were given state dinners or that your taxes increased. It's as ridiculous as people whining about their commutes after they voluntarily moved an hour away from their jobs.

I can't even imagine what it must have been like for conservatives during the Carter administration

Is voting for Bob Barr as a protest more palatable than sitting home? I don't even know anymore. Why must my Libertarians be so right on the economy but so daffy on the military? I miss Giuliani.

Or Harvey's over 35 right? Maybe he'd be willing to toss his hat in the ring and you could be his Veep, which would give you more experience in 8 years than HRC or BHO has now.

I can tell you what it was like for the military under Uncle Jimma';
In 4 years we lost 22 percent of our buying power.

Members of the military were planning to go on strike. After all they couldn't pay their bills, or buy food, some of them (stationed in places like San Francisco) were living in their cars because they couldn't afford housing.

People sat in line for gas for HOURS.

Our embassy was attacked by thugs and murderers including Mr. Abinutjob, marines were killed and embassy workers taken hostage for over a year.

America had no self respect because her president told us that we deserved to be attacked because we were evil.

The homeless mess was just beginning because the compassionate president closed asylums and forced mentally ill people on to the streets, for their own good. With no one to make them take their medicines and no one to monitor their conditions many were jailed, some died but most lived and are living their lives on the streets.

People didn't do things because there was NO extra money. While it wasn't the great depression, I believe that didn't happen because we threw the blighter out.

I'm sure there are those who will disagree with this description but I was there, I was an adult, I was married to someone in the military and this is what life was like for us.

I'd like to have a good Libertarian to vote for again. I'll have to check out Barr. As for the military, I don't have an answer other than most libertarians equate military with police state rather than as just an instrument of a police state when/if it exists.

Those out there telling us we "must" vote for mccain or lose the right to complain about an o'bummer presidency are hallucinating when they see mccain as any different from o'bummer. Either way we'll get bigger government, more regulation, less freedom, reduced real income (due to direct or indirect taxes), and a lower standard of living. The tax plan o'bummer wants and mccain's carbon credits will accomplish the same results by different means.

It's worse than you think. the campaign sent out an email this afternoon advertising "Eco Friendly" clothes. To wit; "This week our campaign is promoting John McCain's long-term commitment to providing market-based solutions to climate change and highlighting ways we can all protect our environment. We're also taking this week to launch a new section of our store - complete with eco-friendly items."
Now I am not against eco-friendly anything, it's just way down the list of things I want my "Republican" candidate to worry about.

It would be beyond cool if a third party won.

I think it could happen if enough voters voted their conscience for a change and refused to settle for the indistinguishable but electable D or R.

Could a 3rd party really be any worse than the 3 idiot choices we have now?

It looks too good to be true but I think I could get behind this party. I must find out more! Pro life, pro bill of rights, pro military (more pro military than Ron Paul, anyway), and without the hippie taint of the Libertarians.

Seanmahair - I remember now! (I'd blocked it out). Those who don't learn from histories' mistakes are doomed to repeat them but (Lord, take me now!) I thought once in a lifetime was enough! Once per generation seems to be the pattern now. My father is in his mid 90's. He's seen the same mistakes repeated so many times he doesn't notice anymore but I haven't amassed enough emotional scar tissue yet to enjoy his serenity. If I've inherited his longevity I can expect so see my country go through this insanity several more times before I cash out and go home. Let the Republicans reap what they've sown without me. Ann Coulter said she'd vote for Hillary before she'd vote for McCain but she didn't say why. (at least, not that I heard). What did she know and when did she know it? Heck, I'd vote for Rush/Coulter 08 if I could. Maybe McCain could ask Michael Savage to be his VP? No, that wouldn't work. Putting those two togeather would cause a rip in the space/time continuum.

Well, here's some differences for you... Iraq, Iran, and Hamas. If you decide to A. not vote or B. throw away your vote, then I think that you have lost the right to complain.

There won't even be any difference between them on hamas, iraq, or iran. The liberals mccain is so fond of building coalitions with will take him aside after the election, and convince him that a compromise is "the right thing to do". Then he'll find a new way to apply his irrational rationalizations, and cave in on those issues as well.

The mccain magic must be different from the ron paul magic. We didn't even have to repeat mccain three times to attract a mccain troll.

I held out faint hope that He Who Will Not Be Named might at least nominate some conservative judges but he's compromised everything else to satisfy his need for the approval of the left, so the judges are probably on the auction block as well.

Support your state and federal conservative candidates, incumbants or challengers, whatever party they represent, because any change in the countries' direction is going to have to come from the bottom up. Romney was right. Washington is broken. (sigh).

#25, I could get behind the Constitution party if they had bothered to do as in-depth a hatchet job on the Dem candidates' records instead of ONLY targeting the GOP. Glaring omission.

Have you noticed that mccain and his supporters always seem to accompany their position statements with a general follow up telling us that if we don't agree with them we have no right to complain?

Assuming the right to censor the speech of others seems to be a way of life in the mccain camp, starting at the top, reaching down through minions like carly fiorina (remember HP?), and extending to the lowest level.
