Power point. How did they ever come up with power point, without a presentation to demonstrate its use? Without power point skills, how did we ever know who was management material, and who was not? #1 - Posted by: Marvin on May 21, 2008 11:10 AM...and Internet chat rooms were even more boring when you were the only one in the room. #2 - Posted by: Son of Bob on May 21, 2008 11:27 AMI wonder how long we will be allowed to call them whiteboards. #3 - Posted by: Dainen on May 21, 2008 11:31 AMI prefer crayons. Bright ones. People always pay attention if you use words drawn in pastel colored crayons. If that doesn't work I use sock puppets. Very affective when talking to liberal college professors. "Hello professor, I'm George Bernard Shaw, and I'm a self centered, egotistic, moron. You shouldn't make Richard read any more of the drivel I wrote." As an engineer, you must know it's a matter of "bootstrapping", Frank. First, you flop around on the floor of a crowded room full of engineers, or on the ground outside a comic book store. When the engineers notice (which should only take a day or so), you can use that opportunity to ask one of them for a mechanical pencil out of his shirt pocket. Then you use the back of your hand to draw a piece of paper. You can figure out the rest, I think. But the initial flopping around is the key. #5 - Posted by: Socrates on May 21, 2008 12:03 PMThat reminds me of the ad I saw for adult literacy classes... in the newspaper. #6 - Posted by: Wacky Hermit on May 21, 2008 12:10 PMOh, and isn't it typical how whiteboards replaced "boards of color," I mean, chalkboards. The white man is always keeping the green man down! #7 - Posted by: Wacky Hermit on May 21, 2008 12:12 PMYou've been much funnier since you got your new job! #8 - Posted by: JackC on May 21, 2008 04:40 PMI prefer honkyboards or crackerboards. Then again, when I was a kid, all we had were blackboards, and nobody thought to call them jiggaboards. #9 - Posted by: Tommy the Towelhead on May 21, 2008 09:36 PMHow about waterboards? Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition ... #10 - Posted by: Cardinal Fang on May 23, 2008 12:44 PMYeah, but back then blackboards used to do a lot of hard work. We didn't know that whiteboards worked with less effort and with less mess. #11 - Posted by: D on May 23, 2008 02:56 PMPost a comment
