Random Thought

They say a giraffe has that absurdly long neck so it can reach leaves in the trees, but why couldn't it just shake the tree? Or wait until fall? There has to be a simpler way to get those leaves than being a ginormous freak.

The fact that no animal has ever developed a chain saw on the end of its arm proves the theory of evolution is hooey.

Animals come up with all sorts of bizarre adaptations. For example, the black-and-white variety of the Obamalope (Communistus Emptysuitius) developed large, jutting ears to determine which way the wind is blowing, increasing its pandering ability.

Similarly, in the rodent kingdom, the species thunderius rodentus thigheneous americanus rex was known to uses it's blunderous thighs to decapitate and kill its prey. However, the animal was rendered extinct by Communistus Emptysuitius

I think it should have evolved to have a big hacksaw on it's head like some of those stranger fish and whales. How about a giraffe-narwhal cross? That way it could saw down the tree and eat it. It could also sell the wood to a lumbermill and then hire snipers to take care of poachers on the park lands in Africa.

I thought their neck was so long because their head is so far away from their body.

They should have evolved laser-shooting eyes to burn the leave stems from the tree. How cool is that?

They still can't explain how one cell performs in a microscopic way all the life processes that multicellular life performs in a macroscopic way; resperation, digestion, excretion, growth, healing, repair, movement, response and reproduction. No way they can know for sure why a giraffe has a long neck. Though I like 5s' idea.

Folklore and fables do as good a job of explaining things like 'Why the Bear is Stumpy Tailed' and 'How Baby Elephant Got His Long Nose' as evolution does and has the advantage of entertaining children at the same time. The political corruption of science is, you may have guessed, a pet peeve of mine.

Evolutionary theory is such a joke.

What about McCainus Liberalus, the cowardly canabalistic species best known for eating its own to survive?

#9 - Posted by: Son of Bob on June 5, 2008 01:08 AM

As a matter of fact, the long-neck-to-eat-from-trees theory has been disproven by observation, since giraffes generally eat from plants that are shorter than they are.

I think the fives have it.

It all depends on your point of view. I imagine that giraffes don't understand why all the other animals have such short necks.
