Obama Skips Wounded Troops in Germany, "Not Photogenic Enough".
Posted by Harvey at 12:00 PM | View blog reactions | Comments (15)
When wounded troops look like this, Obama will be seen in public with them, too.

WASHINGTON (AP) - Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama came under fire from the McCain campaign for cancelling a planned trip to visit wounded American troops while in Germany. Obama's team has responded to the criticism by pointing out that injured soldiers are "not photogenic enough" to be pictured next to the Illinois Senator.

"While Obama was photographed with troops in Afghanistan in Iraq and now has more foreign policy experience than John McCain," said Obama campaign spokesman Tommy Vietor, "that was a different situation from Germany. During the Middle East portion of the trip, he was part of an official congressional fact-finding delegation. The Germany portion was funded by the Obama campaign, and as such, we're only spending our precious money on pictures that make him look good. Frankly, wounded soldiers are ugly and depressing, rather than hopey and changing."

"This campaign has worked hard to ensure that Obama is only photographed next to young, happy, healthy people," said Obama image consultant Sandy Dumont. "No uglies, no Muslims, no fat chicks. Being seen with wounded troops would associate our candidate with pain, suffering, and President Bush. We might as well show pictures of him kissing a road-kill raccoon."

Trust me, Sandy Dumont said nothing of the kind about Obama and his campaign tactics. I'm Sandy Dumont and I ought to know! Furthermore, even if an image consultant said something as tacky as that, no reputable publication would have put it in print."

BTW, thanks for the promotion to official image consultant for Barrack Obama.

You don't suppose we could get him kissing a road-kill rac(coon)!! Now that would make my whole year!!!!

Harvey,

You are a blatant lying swiftboater. I am tired of your tripe on behalf of the McCain campaign. Obama was not allowed in to visit the troops in Germany. However, he did visit the troops in the Middle East and received a standing ovation. Get over it....he is going to be our next president!

kathy berg,

You are a blatent, lying MoveOn-(out of mommy's basement)-er. I am tired of your verbal excrement on behalf of the campaign of Unholy Lord and Saviour Obama. The Dark Lord was not allowed in to visit the troops in Germany with political staff and reporters, so he chose to work out with hot German chicks instead. However, he did visit the "freedom fighters" in the Middle East and received a standing ovation from Al Qaeda. Get over it....he is going to be the next anti-American blue state loser trampled in the general election!

I can confirm that Sandy Dumont did not say that - that was a different staffer. As a fat, ugly, closet Muslim herself, My humble servant, Sandy Dumont, would never say such a thing.

Please note for the record that I have disciplined the aforementioned staffer using My standard method (photographs of the bus tracks on the staffer's Me-accursed corpse are available upon request) for disparaging road kill in that way. I know how you racist crackers love to eat that stuff almost as much as I love to eat arugula and, although you are racist crackers, I would appreciate your most unworthy vote.

A standing O, Kathy B? That's because our troops do as instructed, and no doubt standing and applauding was the instruction. Also, our troops understand the world (including al-Qaeda and other religious extremists/insurgents) is watching; how unbecoming it would be for them not to show support for another American. Unlike MoveOn, unlike the democratic pie holes in DC, unlike Obama who failed the integrity test by bypassing our wounded in Germany...

BTW, I know a few libtards who look and act like roadkill; tell me when to round 'em up for the photo shoot.

Obama not allowed in? No, actually he was allowed in... but he would have to go in without cameras. So he chose not to go. Why pretend like you care about America if the media isn't around to verify it?

#7 - Posted by: on July 28, 2008 05:38 PM

It's talk like that that could cost Obama the "dead raccoon" vote, which is normally a block that votes solidly Democrat.

Just when it started to look like the world was free of unthinking, messiah-complex, kool-aid-drinking fanatics (i.e. ronulans) the o'bamulans had to show up. Evil never goes away, it just moves around.

BTW, do the o'bamulans really use their real names? Or just made up names like the hippie names used by the participants in operation needs more pc?

Kathy - the category is "Newsish FAKERY". Of COURSE it's blatant lying!

"Swiftboating", however, was not. All they did was tell the truth about John "three scratches" Kerry.

Now, that's a vicious slander of innocent sea creatures, and I won't stand for it!

You're spot on. Cameras or no cameras, he could have done the right thing.

What an empty suit! It's only July and we're already quite a bit of Hopey's true character on parade.

Aah, there's no way anyone I know would ever vote for that elitist dweeb.

#14 - Posted by: dead raccoon on July 29, 2008 02:04 AM

I keep getting confused. Which one is Obama, the Arab guy that hates America or the tall black guy that hates America?
