Why I Love the Sarah Palin Choice
Posted by Harvey at 12:09 PM | View blog reactions | Comments (38)

Because (from a recent MorOn.Org email) it makes Democrats say things like this:

I think she's far too inexperienced to be in this position. I'm all for a woman in the White House, but not one who hasn't done anything to deserve it. There are far many other women who have worked their way up and have much more experience that would have been better choices. This is a patronizing decision on John McCain's part- and insulting to females everywhere that he would assume he'll get our vote by putting "A Woman" in that position.—Jennifer M., Anchorage, AK

Let's do some subtle re-writing so that you can see why this makes me giggle so:

I think he's far too inexperienced to be in this position. I'm all for an African-American in the White House, but not one who hasn't done anything to deserve it. There are far many other African-Americans who have worked their way up and have much more experience that would have been better choices. This is a patronizing decision on the Democratic Party's part - and insulting to African-Americans everywhere that they would assume they'll get our vote by putting "An African-American" in that position.

Look for Jennifer's PKB (pot - kettle - black) argument in various forms everywhere.

so far, every liberal I've talked to sounds like their brain just locked in a loop when Sarah Palin is mentioned. It's like they automatically go into the list of talking points they've read somewhere about her, but they realize as they're taking that the same thing same can be said about their candidate, but having nothing of their own to add, they just lamely finish the their talking points with a puzzled look...like those robots on the old Star Trek show that would get all confused when Kirk would kiss them as they were trying to kill him. I'm waiting for their heads to start exploding.

The fact that all liberals I've talked to have had the same knee-jerk head spinning, projectile-vomit and incoherent rambling reaction to Palin tells me that this was a good pick.

I've always said that the first non-white male president will be a Republican, not a Democrat. If McCain wins the election, it'll be the wooden stake through the heart of Hillary's presidential aspirations.

I've always looked at VP picks as a sort of indicator of what the presidential candidate has learned in his campaign thus far. Clearly McCain has learned that he's going nowhere without his base. Obama, on the other hand hasn't learned anything. The #1 most liberal senator in the country picks the next available most liberal senator in the country - you do the math.

If the Republicans want to REALLY seal the deal, they should have a short, quiet nominating ceremony, and send all the unspent money and resources to the Gustav relief efforts.

The Messiah giving grandiose speaches in front of a movie-set Greek temple to adoring, fainting fans, or a man who quietly and unceremoniously says "thank you" and WITHOUT A GOVERNMENT MANDATE donates the resources at his disposal to people who really need it - which one would you vote for?

Wishful thinking?

Palin has a tough 60 days to prove herself. The key is to not try to do too much. She should run strictly on her record as an anti-establishment reform candidate. She has an impressive record as a reformer. The "candidate of change" does not. She should deflect all other criticisms of "lack of experience."

"National Security experience" is the biggest challenge. She should simply state that she will follow the policies of John McCain.

Hah, well I, a long-time Republican and a woman (for all you know), think differently.

This is a foolish and patronizing pick and I am currently scanning Google News and every rightwing blog there is out there to let them know this is a foolish and patronizing pick.

Because for some reason, they don't think this is a foolish and patronizing pick.

I will now not only support Obama, but will donate every cent and amount of time I can. Me! You hear that, Rethuglicans, you've lost me! . . . a long-time Republican! . . . and a woman!

You'll pay for this, you a--holes, you'll pay!!!!

After watching a video of Biden's reaction at campaign stop, I know McCain did good... for now. It was like watching a clip from a National Socialist speech and sadly, Joe was not very articulate. I wonder if Obambi was secretly amused about that.

The good news about Biden's frothy reaction is that while he wasn't particularly articulate, he did appear to be clean.

#7 - Posted by: AlanABQ on August 31, 2008 01:59 PM

I think McCain has lost the election for the GOP which means, of course, higher taxes and Barry. Unfortunately, there isn't enough time for the public to get to know a complete unknown like Palin. It will be easy for the Democrats to create confusion and disinformation about the ticket. The media will likely assist them in creating confusion about Palin. The public has had lots of time to learn about Obama (all 57 states LOL!) and sadly most of the big Obama scandals were diffused in the campaign against Hillary. Obama now seems vetted while McCain goes an picks a nobody. It could not have been a worse idea but he must have thought he was going to lose and needed to gamble. The need for a hail mary pass doesn't mean the hail mary is going to work. This kind of thing might work for a local congress race but not on the biggest stage of all. So it is best to brace for defeat.

On the plus side could we see Palin run for president in 2012? You bet we will!

#8 - Posted by: SteveLP on August 31, 2008 02:21 PM

For Palin, this is a win-win.

Either McCain wins and she runs for President in 2012, or Obama wins and she runs for President in 2012...With Fred Thompson - even if they have to take him to Haiti and turn make him into a zombie cause he died.

Pallin/zombie Thompson would be an awesome ticket!

he's a zombie...she has a 12-gauge...together they're unstopable...

at the very least it would make for a great buddy picture or sit-com.

Hey right wing aholes you listen up now, k? Remember how we got the media to fall in love with Obama? Do you really think we and the media are going to let your crazy creationist bible lady be the VP? Heck no. Once the message gets out there that she is a 100% bible fanatic and crazy creationist freakazoid - well, let us just say that it is all over for McCain/Palin. We are so happy with this pick because it is the easiest possible choice to defeat. Kay Bailey is the one we were worried about because she isn't a right wing freak like Palin and could have interested Hillary voters. I think you all know that Hillary voters loved Hillary for women's rights and the environment and not for bible banging, polar bear killing, dinosaur riding creationism, global warming denying nonsense. Let your freak flag fly high Palin because we are going to let the world no how freaky you are. We and the media are going to tell them how you want the polar bears to die. We and the media are going to tell them about how you love creationism. We and the media are going to tell them you are the opposite of Hillary Clinton. And remember only a tiny itty bitty small weency beency smeency percentage of the population agrees with crazy bible banging wackos like you people here and Sarah Palin. Suck on that tidbit of info losers. Suck on defeat. Embrace defeat and suck it in and let swirl around and there and let it make you cry and weep the pain of losing the 2008 election.

It is on. DailyKos vs IMAO. Bible bangers vs. liberals. Creationism vs evolution. Global warming vs polar bear hate. Insanity vs reason. Speaking in tongues vs sanity. Here we go. Oh Oh Oh Oh Yeah. Bang that gong. Let it out. Shout Baby Shout. 1 2 3. Here we go baby go. We will defeat you. We will defeat you. Oh yeah. I'm rapping like a storm. Rapping like a storm. Oh yeah - Oh yeah. Going down. Going down. GOP. Going down. Hah!

I can't believe the obamatrons haven't found Sarah's achilles heel yet. It is so obvious. The woman actually married a man of mixed ethnicity and is in the process of raising mud-blood children.

The correct schpelling for B.O. is

African-UnAmerican.

America has found her Margaret Thatcher OR Beauty Queen with an M-Sixteen

My father said years ago when Margaret Thatcher was Prime Minister that he would not mind voting for a woman president if we got one like Margaret. America has found her Thatcher. And as predicted by my father those 25 years ago she is a republican.

//It is on. DailyKos vs IMAO. ........ Oh yeah - Oh yeah. Going down. Going down. GOP. Going down. Hah!//

You can tell things are bad for them when they start frothing at the mouth.

The more these idiots malign Palin the more independents and undecideds will vote for her.

They've already brought it on. We will see your inexperienced African American, first term senator and raise you a woman, a governor, a gun owner and the mother of a Downs Syndrome child. Come on Osamabama ante up.

#18 - Posted by: seanmahair on August 31, 2008 07:43 PM

The best thing about Gov. Palin -
She is not a lawyer.

#19 - Posted by: Marvin on August 31, 2008 07:49 PM

Either she's not the mother of that baby or she is an unfit mother. Gov. Sarah Palin almost killed the child when she chose to board a flight from Dallas to Anchorage after her water broke. You must really hate children if you think taking that flight was the proper thing to do and shows good judgement. My guess is she was lying and it her daughter's child who "had mono" during the time Palin was supposed to be pregnant. None of Palin's staff even knew Palin was pregnant - imagine that? This story is BREAKING EVERYWHERE. LIBERALISM RULES AND CRAZY FANATICAL BIBLE NONSENSE FAILURE! Good bye religious right! You won't be involved in the next election. No one wants your crazy creationism BS in America anymore. Ha ha! Obama will win and you will be sad. Awesome!

I await the markdown on Obama-Biden bumperstickers. The day they starting giving away with money and free shipping is the day the Democrat campaign is in peril.

#23 - Posted by: erg on August 31, 2008 10:29 PM

So who here thinks the crazy ramblings above were posted by an actual nut-job libtard, and who thinks it's a eerily acurate parody?

On the one hand, I can't imagine anyone actually being that whacked out and still able to work a computer. On the other hand, satire is best when it's concise, and that stuff goes on way too long to stay funny.

I guess I'm leaning towards actual left-wing whacko as opposed to parody. But I can't believe a person could be that hateful, that uneducated, and that conceited at the same time. I mean, no adult in the real world who works for a living talks like that. It sounds more like a middle school kid ranting about how much he hates adults. But middle schoolers aren't aware of politics like that.

Therefore, I must conclude that was posted by one of those sub-human, basement-dwelling denizens of KOS, still sponging off his/her parents while vomiting hateful, socialist nonsense on any website that doesn't require registration.

At least we don't have to worry about such turds ever reproducing.

#24 - Posted by: Ernie Loco on August 31, 2008 10:32 PM

quote on #24

Therefore, I must conclude that was posted by one of those sub-human, basement-dwelling denizens of KOS, still sponging off his/her parents

I concur it is more likely subsidized directly by the DNC; Obama, Clinton or both. It would be a shame to let a tool like KOS go to waste.

#25 - Posted by: erg on August 31, 2008 10:40 PM

Whoever it was(#s 10 & 20), those were hilarious. Think about it: The Left is a parody of itself. We know things are looking better when they attempt to come out swinging, except that they don't know how to fight- just look at their war accomplishments.

Which also is a parody: they don't have any war accomplishments. If their best argument is that Palin has no experience, they're done. Her menstrual cycle exudes more experience that their main candidate. If their next best argument is that it's a shameless ploy to use a woman, then again they're done. Hillary, like Obama, was going to be historic too...

You can almost smell the BS in the air. This time, everyone is watching them and can see for themselves the lies & hypocrisy like never before. And this is why they look at Conservative talk radio, Fox News and the internet as "hate speech", after they had over half a century of near-total control of the media. Hate speech spewers are, in their eyes, anyone who tells the truth about them. They act as though it's their own personal Holocaust when their crap is laid bare for all to see.

Now that the MSM assertions are contested & proven wrong on a daily f**king basis, they are in full panic mode. Their only recourse now is blatant slander and yet another media blackout of any information that exposes the left as sellouts, as well as any info that makes the Republicans real people.

Nobody ever even heard of Sara Palin until a few days ago, and yet the late night talk show hacks are already all over her as their punchline. I've yet to hear any of them say the slightest thing about Obie, though- I wonder why that is...?

Screw the fall lineup on the networks; watching the Left over the next few months is going to more entertaining than anything on primetime.

#26 - Posted by: AlanABQ on August 31, 2008 11:34 PM

How sad and disgusting that some of the hags at the Daily Kos have decided to go after not just the teenage daughter of Gov. Palin but also Palins 5-6 month old disabled infant. Do these animals have any feelings at all? Maybe we should put Nanny Nancy's family on the front page. Maybe we should call someone else to help with dinner?

What a pile of pompous boobs. They should find a hole and pull it in after them.

#27 - Posted by: seanmahair on September 1, 2008 12:22 AM

I could use nastier words, seanmahair, but it won't help. The KOS infestation has a particularly bad kind of snotty, infantile, liberal personality disorder. Most are young and should have had the crap kicked out of them on a playground when they were 12.

Talking about finding a hole and pulling it in after you, an igloo I built once collapsed on me!

#28 - Posted by: Jimmy on September 1, 2008 12:45 AM

(LIBERALISM RULES AND CRAZY FANATICAL BIBLE NONSENSE FAILURE!)

This sentence does not make sense so why shout it? BTW, what grade level have you completed at your substandard school?

(Good bye religious right! You won't be involved in the next election.)

You wish. Get lots of sleep - you'll soon be having nightmares about us.

(No one wants your crazy creationism BS in America anymore.)

Boy are you mixed up. Again, what grade are you in? It is evolution that is being forced upon children as irrefutable truth without any other theory being presented. What's the matter ape-child? Scared your boy Darwin might have been smokin a doobie and you fell for it? Don't fret, perhaps there's still hope you'll "evolve" into an intelligent creature someday.

(Obama will win and then you will be sad.)

Keep dreaming (you're obviously not grounded in reality.) Oh and even if he does, GOD still sits on the throne so....not sad!

(It is on. DailyKos vs IMAO. Bible bangers vs. liberals. Creationism vs evolution. Global warming vs polar bear hate. Insanity vs reason. Speaking in tongues vs sanity. Here we go.)

Bring it.

This post reminds me of the Energizer Bunny. It just keeps going and going.

I think maybe I'm going to take up wandering around with a sandwich board that says "The End Is Near". I'm really not sure the world can get any more wicked or more ridiculous. If I were God (and you all need to be thankful I'm not) "I could devise brave punishments" for the people on this planet.

I'd do things like making a glass parking lot out of Iran, China and other trouble spots, afflicting all celebrities with boils and striking all politicians dumb. Michael Moore would spend all day, everyday on the treadmill and Osama would spend his days building latrines in the Sudan (after all he's real good at spreading IT around, he should be good at containing IT too).

I'm not sure we deserve Gov. Palin. I'm afraid the vast majority deserves Obama, and the Lord in his infinite wisdom is probably fed up enough to let us have him.
