Can You Believe Democrats Actually Thought We CARED about Obama's "Lack of Experience"?
Posted by Harvey at 07:30 AM | View blog reactions | Comments (11)

Sorry, Losercrats, we didn't. That was just a handy catchphrase to pummel him with. A convenient comedic device that we're willing to defenestrate now that we can't use it without looking like douchebags.

Here's the truth.

"This bear? He looked at me funny."

What really matters to Conservatives about their candidates is their ability to make decisions under pressure, their ability to stand by those decisions, and their willingness to accept the consequences - however bad they may be - and also accept the responsibility of making new decisions to address those consequences, as necessary.

I don't know a lot about McCain's political career, but I *do* know that he was a Naval officer. Having served under my share of them (U.S. Navy, 85 to 91, USS Enterprise 87 to 91), I know that McCain's been trained in accountability.

While I don't know a lot about Palin, it seems she's done a good job staring down the forces of corruption in Alaskan gubernatorial politics. She's made hard calls and stood by them while facing down angry men.

The essence of a good Commander-in-Chief is that he can look some ass**** right in the eye, tell him to go f*** himself, and not blink while doing so, if that's what he honestly believes - to the best of his knowledge - is the right thing to do in order to further the goals of America's interests, whether domestically or overseas.

I don't think Obama has the stones to do that.

I KNOW McCain has them.

And I suspect that - while not technically stones - Palin's titanium ovaries are equally qualified.

As I posted in the previous thread, Cindy McCain has more executive experience, more foreign policy experience (and a BEER distributorship for Pete's sake) than the Uuhh-bummer/Bidet ticket!

While I am in favor of having someone driving the bus who's driven a bus before, I think it's just as important for the driver of the bus to know where he's going. We want someone who isn't going to drive off the road to look at the pretty butterflies. We want someone who'd going to take on the road hogs and idiot drivers and not let them force us into a ditch.

At this juncture (and folks easier for me to say now, thank you Gov. Palin) that man is John McCain. In this analogy Obama wasn't made to sit in the back of the bus, he chose never to get on at all. (no offense to Rosa Parks intended, she was a great woman and an inspiration to people of all kinds).

Had Obama bucked the Chicago machine and gotten to where he is today I would look at him differently. I might still disagree with his policies but I at least would have some respect for the man. As it stands now I respect neither him nor any "accomplishments". No respect, no vote - dead on, Harvey.

... and even if he did have the stones he would apologize for it, have Hillary cut them off, and then seek out a running mate who appeared to have stones behind all that hot air.

Anyway, if I were a betting man, I would put my money on Michelle as the Obama most likely to have stones.

But come on. Stones? Democrats? We're talking in major hypotheticals here.

Integrity and accountability.

You absolutely NAILED this one Harvey! I couldn't agree more!!!

And how many 'stones' does America have left?

The teeter-totter of our politics is now weighed down by the lipid left of our public school system.

I'm not looking for miracles - just time.

weighed down by the lipid left of our public school system.

Jimmy......That's why you can thank all us homeschoolers. Our kids will be the next generation of leaders in this country.

#7 - Posted by: PammyV on September 5, 2008 12:03 PM

Yeah, Pammy, I considered homeschooling for my sons back in the 90's. But the issue for our kids could very well be how to simply exist within the country that is left.

OH YEAAAAH, without a doubt.

Stones, maybe but Gonads a definite yes!

Gonad, female: The female gonad, the ovary or "egg sac", is one of a pair of reproductive glands in women.
