Good for her doing the right thing. She's keeping the baby and marrying the father and I say good for her. #1 - Posted by: RightWingTink on September 1, 2008 03:27 PMI've been punished with the best daughter in the world named Elle. And proud of her. #2 - Posted by: Kelly H on September 1, 2008 03:31 PMWowie! Those abstinence-only-until-marriage programs the GOP loves so much are a rip-roaring success! The battle is one to determine who is the best mother - Sarah Palin or Lynne Spears. My votes on Lynne. Meet Sarah Palin - the VP version of Harriet Miers. How many days until McCain picks a replacement for this Palin reject? #3 - Posted by: Concerned Parent on September 1, 2008 03:55 PMHey concerned parent, Perhaps you haven't had a teenager yet. I was one, and I have to say they are practically impossible to control. It isn't a statement about the parent, it is a statement of the hormonal imbalance of teens. So her daughter is pregnant. So what? And who's to say she is a Republican like her mother? #4 - Posted by: Michael R. on September 1, 2008 04:26 PMI guess the only incantation needed to summon the obamorons is "Palin". You don't even have to repeat it three times. There must be a lot of fear out there to evoke such a quick response. #5 - Posted by: George on September 1, 2008 04:28 PMI'm with Concerned Parent because with Obama as president I know that my kids will be well taken care of when they go on that school field to to Planned Parenthood for their secret abortions. It also warms my heart to know that if any of the abortions are botched and my grandchild accidently comes out alive those kind doctors can't be sued for just leaving it in a closet to die. Thanks Concerned Parent. #6 - Posted by: I'm with Stuppid on September 1, 2008 05:02 PMSounds like the Vice President's mansion is going to be full. How many bedrooms does it have? Let's see, the Palins have four kids at home plus a grandchild at some point in 2009. Governor Palin, you really should check on the VP's home floorplan! That's how concerned I am. #7 - Posted by: Jimmy on September 1, 2008 05:20 PMConcerned parent? I hate to break this to you, dearheart, but chihuahuas don't count as children. What school did you go to that you were in an abstinence only program? I've never seen that taught in school. Ever. #8 - Posted by: RightWingTink on September 1, 2008 05:21 PMThe Palins love and support their pregnant teenage daughter like any decent, normal family would. Obama sees the baby as God's punishment and the rest of the Dems seem to want the girl shunned and forced to wear a scarlet "A". The strangest thing is the Dems don't even see how this makes them look - they actually think they are scoring points. #9 - Posted by: DamnCat on September 1, 2008 05:45 PMIt's too bad that Obama isn't already President. He would have Hillary in charge of our health care with Alan Colmes as Surgeon General and Palin's daughter would be "segregated" to a "secluded" facility where the collective would wait until the 9th month of term at which time they would induce labor and then let the born alive child die alone in a soiled laundry room for the good of the "village"... Concerned Parent...Judge Not Lest Ye Be Judged! In other words...knock it off! #10 - Posted by: ussjimmycarter on September 1, 2008 05:54 PMWell, and another thing, DamnCat and ussjc. The Dem's seem to be VERY aware that Gov. Palin has NOT gone through menopause and still has hormones (unlike Mrs. "Where Has All The Estrogen Gone?" Clinton). Palin is what the women's movement TALKS about but doesn't achieve and she's on the Republican ticket! That's got to make those ne'erdowells both jealous and envious. #11 - Posted by: Jimmy on September 1, 2008 05:55 PM#3 - Posted by: Concerned Parent on September 1, 2008 03:55 PM I know how you're feeling right now. When Joe Biden was picked as VP, I was so irate over this master stroke, that I was compelled to go over on liberal website and gloat over any trouble his kids might have. Oh wait...I wasn't. And yet you're compelled to come here over Sarah Palin... and your compadres are also going nuts over this... There's a reason for that. I wonder if Al Gore's kid has been busted again... or Jimmy Carter's brother...or another Kennedy...or just how many times Obama did coke...or if Bill Clinton was as good a father as he was a husband...or if the same applies your VP pick, John Edwards, from 2004...huh, Obama's kids are kind of young, yet both their parents work, kinda lame isn't it?...I mean, all this stuff is fair game now right? so everything's cool. #12 - Posted by: WAL on September 1, 2008 06:10 PM#3 The battle is one to determine who is the best mother - Sarah Palin or Lynne Spears. My votes on Lynne. CP, this was a terribly bitchy thing to say. All 17-year-olds are stupid, but the ones with Libtards for parents, like you, kill the babies, and the ones with conservative parents make sure the babies live and are taken care of by a mommy and a daddy. #13 - Posted by: mykidsmommy on September 1, 2008 06:31 PMI'm being too long-winded, I could have just simplified this: Do I have to bring up Barack's mother? [Barack brought up his mother in reference to this, actually. -Ed.] #14 - Posted by: WAL on September 1, 2008 06:40 PMSarah Palin hates America. She's an active member of The Alaska Independence Party, which was formed with the goal of seceding from the union and establishing Alaska as an independent state. Clear evidence this woman hates our great country and everything it stands for. Boo! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4iCDBIAde8 #15 - Posted by: PalinHatesAmerica on September 1, 2008 07:00 PMWho the h*ll is Lynne Spears? Would the libtards all be cheering for Sarah Palin and her daughter now if they'd both had abortions? If unplanned pregnancies had been omitted from My family tree, that tree would be somewhat less fruitful (I won't elaborate) but it worked out fine. Let's all say it again, "All children are a blessing!" As a practical consideration: Parents all over America can say to their teens, "See, it can happen to anyone!". #16 - Posted by: 4 of 7 on September 1, 2008 07:21 PM#15 - Look who is talking! Didn't this country just recently cheer for Kosovo's independence? So Sarah is for states' rights, now what? #17 - Posted by: mykidsmommy on September 1, 2008 07:34 PMWowie! #3 can't discern between who's going to become a parent & who's going to become a grandparent. Looks like someone went gladly to public schools. And #3, being in touch with your inner child to such a disturbingly close degree does not really make you a parent. It does, however, expose you as a closet pedophile. #18 - Posted by: AlanABQ on September 1, 2008 07:36 PMIn the last couple days since the announcement of Sarah Palin as McCain's VP pick, I've been spending more time at the various right wing blogs. I've come away with the conclusion that the majority of the left is abysmally stupid. And those cretins at Kos are even bigger douches. Seriously, if someone spoke out loud the kind of crap they post at Kos, the most common reaction would be to take them in for a mental exam. Or maybe punch them in the face; one or the other. Oh, as for relevance to this post: what brought on this rant was some of those morons claiming that they STILL think Palin faked her last pregnancy and was covering for her daughter. This despite the fact that said daughter is five months pregnant now, and her brother was born in April. I know 5 year old children who understand why that's not possible, and they have no idea where babies come from or what sex even is. Of course, I suppose the Kossacks have no knowledge about sex either. #19 - Posted by: Ernie Loco on September 1, 2008 07:41 PMSarah Palin hates America. She's an active member of The Alaska Independence Party, which was formed with the goal of seceding from the union and establishing Alaska as an independent state. Clear evidence this woman hates our great country and everything it stands for. Boo! You know what - I can't even get angry anymore. These people have just snapped. At first it was funny (and I guess it's still funny), but we're talking about a group of people who have absolutely lost it - I've been surfing the internet since college and I haven't seen a group of liberals like this before. When McCain picked a woman, I think something genuinely exploded in their world view and they just lost it. #20 - Posted by: WAL on September 1, 2008 07:48 PMI'm thinking I might move to Alaska. I mean, if she and John lose, how many soverign states are left willing to defend themselves against Barack Obama's chaos and dictatorial onslaught? Texas and Alaska? I won't do well in a re-education camp here in the Soviet State of Washington. Plus, I'm used to rain and cold. The problem is, how to transport my tank (and all its spare parts) and several tons of arms and ammo? #21 - Posted by: Jimmy on September 1, 2008 07:53 PMSarah Palin wants Alaska to break off from America and become an independent country. She must really hate America to want to do that. Plus her child getting pregnant and clear evidence abstinence is another failed asinine right-wing policy. Abortion must be used and condoms should be given to all teens. At least Palin has gotten the rednecks fired up. That is until they hear that she is a member of an organization that wants to steal Alaska's oil resource away from the U.S. and control it all for just Alaska. One thing we know about Republicans is they care deeply about the USA and will not tolerate one of our own states becoming a rogue independent country like Palin desires. #22 - Posted by: zOMG on September 1, 2008 07:53 PMAs a right wing nutjob redneck freak myself I am incredibly excited about Palin. I can't wait until all birth control is banned and there is a massive baby boom. I also think we should go back to having sex between white sheets. I just want lots of jesusjoi and dead animals. Now what I mean? I'm going to all my teen daughters to get out there and get preggers. Palin and her crazy family have set such an incredible example for all of us!!! By the way if your water breaks be sure to immediately take a long plane ride - all doctors say this is totally healthy for the baby. Sarah Palin did this so it must be ok! [You have to wonder if these people have two brain cells to rub together. Who is so pathetic as to go blog to blog and write this stuff? Just once, I'd like to hunt down one of these trolls and see what life they live outside the internet if any. -Ed.] #23 - Posted by: Excited on September 1, 2008 08:00 PMObvious troll is still obvious. Obvious Obama gonna be president! Ha ha AlanABQ your precious Britney Spears white trash momma like lady will lose. No changing the science books to show people used to ride dinosaurs to church for you loser! No banning stem cells and abortions for you! Same-sex marriages will be realized for every state. Plus higher taxes!!! #25 - Posted by: Excited on September 1, 2008 08:20 PM[From Ace of Spades - but worth stealing] Ace: Smell that? You smell that? I am a cynic. I am also a pessimist. But.....even I never expected the shear amount of vitriolic, putrid, atrocious, base, brazen, contemptible, degrading, deplorable, disgraceful, dishonest, dishonorable, disreputable, ignoble, ignominious, indecent, mean, offensive, opprobrious, outrageous, scandalous, shocking, sinful and downright inhuman attacks on a 17 year old girl who's real sin is not that she is pregnant but that her mother had the unmitigated gall to run as a conservative with John McCain. I used to think that all Liberals weren't crazy, morons with no discernible brain function that wasn't centered in the animal zone of what they call brains. But not now. Now I have absolutely NO respect for anyone who aligns themselves with these creatures. I wouldn't vote for a Democrat or Liberal now even if the Savior himself came down and ran on the ticket with Oyouslimmabima. As for the followers of these pieces of prepubescent, pus I sincerely hope you and your family are never exposed to people like you. It shouldn't happen to a dog (of course you people take better care of your dogs than babies but I'm sure you get the picture.) You can't really be that stupid. #27 - Posted by: seanmahair on September 1, 2008 08:30 PMShows what you know; I like Lynne Spears! At least #3 got that right. Kinda sad your presence validates some other troll... poor leftard :( Embryonic stem cell research would be OK if there was any point to it, but there isn't. Nothing. It's a scientific red herring. Same sex marriages? Good luck on that, princess. But first, see if you can get a man to notice you, then worry about your status. #28 - Posted by: AlanABQ on September 1, 2008 08:35 PMI knew a cynic once, seanmahair, and believe me, you're no cynic! :-) #29 - Posted by: Jimmy on September 1, 2008 08:36 PMMuch ink (and Pixels) have been spilled over McCain not properly vetting Sarah Palin. Tonight CBS and ABC wondered about this too. Has anyone stopped to consider that a pregnant teen in the family would be a plus if not required for any contender for the position of VP? It gives the perfect excuse to attack Obama for his "babies as Punishment" thoughts. Rove you magnificent bastard! Muslims are outraged #30 - Posted by: Burt on September 1, 2008 08:39 PM#28 - Alan, what do you like about Lynne Spears? Raising two out-of-control girls, not keeping her marriage together, and writing a "parenting" book? How's that better than being Sarah, like #3 suggests? #23,25 - Excited, PLEASE do not get too excited, it is just too gross! #22 - zOMG, if Sarah wanted Alaska to be a country, she would not get on the US Presidential ticket. But your nastiness and rage, caused by the fear of inevitability of the Republican win in November, make you forget reason. #31 - Posted by: mykidsmommy on September 1, 2008 08:59 PMFact: Sarah Palin was for the bridge to nowhere before she was against it! #32 - Posted by: Excited on September 1, 2008 09:08 PMOl' Huckster compared Obama picking Biden for VP as "going into Baskin-Robbins and picking vanilla". So, after McMaverick picked the best and the most exciting person he possibly could, libs are wetting their pants. I hope, Excited, your Pampers are on. #33 - Posted by: mykidsmommy on September 1, 2008 09:14 PMzOMG, Palin was the member of a group that wanted Alaska to become an independent country and screw over the U.S. by taking all the Alaska resources for itself but she changed her mind. I don't think she is a member anymore but the press will probably ask her. Still to me the fact that she considered having her state leave the U.S. and steal all of our oil makes her Unamerican traitor person. I personally can't stand her. Thank God Obama is an amazing and trustworthy pure 100% American hero!!!!!! 38 Million people watched his speech!! #34 - Posted by: SamoGumchi on September 1, 2008 09:14 PMConcerned Parent - abstinence only is the plan your parents wished they'd kept up with. I couldn't help but notice there is no room for love in your life! #35 - Posted by: Bubba on September 1, 2008 09:15 PMSpeaking of abortion (you gotta love IMAO, I mean, Frank lets us RANT!), Fred Thompson is right: as a constitutional matter, it's a state's rights issue. As a strictly moral question, however, consider this. Right now, it's legal up until viability in most states. Imagine a conversation like this: Doctor: "Ma'am, you only have several days until the abortion becomes illegal. At that point, it becomes murder, Ma'am. Ma'am: "Well, I can't make up my mind. Part of me wants the baby when the fetus becomes viable in several days, and part of me wants to kill it. I don' wanna be punished in any case." (several days pass...) Doctor: "Hurry, up Ma'am, you only have several hours until it becomes murder." Ma'am: "Ok, I'll make up my mind. Just give me a little more time." (hours pass...minutes before time elapses...) Ma'am: "Ok, I'll have the abortion." Doctor: "Yes, Ma'am. Do you care if it's dead or alive? If the abortion fails and it comes out alive, by law we're required to let it die." Ma'am: "No. I don't care." (The abortion is performed. Days later, the Doctor realizes that his calculation failed to take into account that it was a leap year. The baby was born alive and was one day older than the doctor's calculation. It later died in a closet.) (This hypothetical story is just as silly as the morality of many pro-abortion liberals.) #36 - Posted by: Jimmy on September 1, 2008 09:19 PMFire Bad!! Children Bad!!!! [hence the toss in the pond] Concerned Parent disingenuous!!!!!!!! #37 - Posted by: Frankenstein [monster, not Dr.]] on September 1, 2008 09:23 PMHey, trolls.....your Koolaid is ready. Please do us all a favor and drink deep. Most of us don't go to your sites and defecate all all over them. Please do us a favor and scoop up before you leave. Or just leave and take your American hating, baby killing, victim playing, crybaby and his plagiaristic old liar with you. #38 - Posted by: seanmahair on September 1, 2008 09:25 PM#31- I was being facetious. #32- FACT: Sara Palin exudes more real-life experience when she sneezes than Obambi does at any given time, no matter what he's failing at doing, like voting. Or paying attention in "church". Or marrying someone with a little class. Or... Never mind. We all know this could go on & on. #39 - Posted by: AlanABQ on September 1, 2008 09:35 PMSeriously, I'm with Frank: I want to know where these grade school drop outs come from. I attend a major university (albeit, in the midwest, so not 100% flamming libtard hippies). I've seen tons of hopey and changy imbeciles dreaming about fellating Obama. And I've never heard anyone spew the kind of animal hatred we've seen from the trolls and Kostards. How does someone that angry and irrational perform simple daily tasks like keeping themselves fed and clothed? It's beyond me. #40 - Posted by: Ernie Loco on September 1, 2008 09:45 PMI'm not sure why a 17 year old's pregnancy is important to the election, but I'll concede the point, Obama is more qualified to be President than a 17 year old. And while the media was covering thise important news , Obama and his old crazy uncle/preacher both seemed to be in Toledo yesterday: http://www.nypost.com/seven/09012008/news/nationalnews/rev__strikes_again_126984.htm http://blog.cleveland.com/metro/2008/08/obama_in_toledo_rebuild_cities.html Seriously, my parents were both out of graduate school and in their late 30's, and I was still born rather less than 9 months after their wedding. Smart people make less-than-smart decisions all the time, no matter what the age. I'm happy to be alive and I'm sure Bristol Palin's child will be too. :) #42 - Posted by: Oromin on September 1, 2008 10:58 PMThis just in: "I did not have sex with that girl, Bristol Palin." - William Jefferson Clinton Oh wait, I'm sorry. My bad. I forgot. The president of the United States having sex with an intern in the oval office is supposedly his "private life" and shouldn't be discussed. 28-year-old Chelsea Clinton, traveling from college to college making stump speeches for her mother is off-limits. but someone's teenage daughter who's not involved in any way with politics is fair game. How do these hateful Liberals even try to come up with these rules? #43 - Posted by: Son of Bob on September 1, 2008 11:02 PMBob, remember that book "Everything I need to know in live I learned in Kindergarten" (or something like that). Well these genius' didn't. wow, needed, and life. It's late, I'm sick and tired in that order so... sorry.
Anyone else think Levi looks really dorkish? Is that piles of grease in his hair? Why would Bristol fall for this guy? Apparently, he's also some sort of huge fishing criminal. Man the scandals and criminal activity never stop with these people! #46 - Posted by: Miles on September 1, 2008 11:52 PM#46 - Apparently, guys like Levi used to take away your lunch in school or give you wedgies. #47 - Posted by: mykidsmommy on September 2, 2008 12:08 AMre# 34, Sorry #48 is mine. #49 - Posted by: nylecoj on September 2, 2008 12:24 AMApparently, guys like Levi used to take away your lunch in school or give you wedgies. So you see the picture of Levi and you instantly see a bully and a guy who likes to steal money from people? Is this something you approve of? Do you want your kids to grow up and be thieves and bullies like Levi too? Do you really endorse this woman who took a Dallas to Alaska flight after her water broke. She endangered her child. No good mother does that to their baby. No good mother approves of someone who does that. This is a true story - the Texas governor Rick Perry was there when it happened. Talk about poor judgement! My goodness!! Since you are a mommy mykidsmommy I would have thought you not approve of a pregnant woman taking a super long baby-risking flight after her water broke but I guess you don't care. So sad :( #50 - Posted by: Miles on September 2, 2008 12:32 AMI'm shocked to find out from our trolls that abstinence never works! Does that mean if Sarah Palin is elected Vice President, our country will experience an explosion of virgin births? #51 - Posted by: Bob in Feenicks on September 2, 2008 12:35 AMyeup WAL, the smell is getting thick in here. #52 - Posted by: nylecoj on September 2, 2008 12:39 AMWhy do the Liberals believe that we, sane people, think Palin is perfect? She's human, and we all know that humans make mistakes, and Palin is no exception. #53 - Posted by: Freedom Fries on September 2, 2008 12:51 AMFreedom, No kidding. She seems to make a new mistake each day!! So does Barack Obama but he's totally hot so we have to forgive him :) #54 - Posted by: WilliamSleddFanatic! on September 2, 2008 01:14 AMCertainly this DQ's Sarah, just as algore's son's DUI arrest DQ's him from any consideration for office, right? If algore had stayed at home with his family , instead of abandoning them for elected office, his kids would have turned out flawlessly. Me either. #55 - Posted by: Terry_JIm on September 2, 2008 01:22 AM#50 Do you want your kids to grow up and be thieves and bullies like Levi too? Nice transition into calling Levi a thief and a bully - typical lib crap. I was not approving of bullies, just imagining why you would react in this negative way to his picture and thinking that maybe a photo of a jock made you feel inadequate. Also nice calling me a bad mother after first assuming that I approve of laboring women getting on airplanes! However, to suggest that a woman who boarded an airplane while in labor is worse than a man who thinks that a botched partial birth abortion with a baby delivered alive should end with the baby in the trash can is a huge leap you, libtards, are making. #56 - Posted by: mykidsmommy on September 2, 2008 01:29 AMAfter that revelation at LGF regarding the Obama controlled website being behind initial smears against Palin, it's obvious that Obama and his liberal clan are scared. Their dweebs have been posting derogatory stuff on hundreds of conservative blogs all day. No matter. On with the Republican National Convention !! #57 - Posted by: Jimmy on September 2, 2008 01:45 AMIt's good that the enemy is afraid of us. #58 - Posted by: Freedom Fries on September 2, 2008 02:44 AM#50 "Miles" (as in miles and miles of stupidity) If I wasn't a lady I'd sock you one. Come chat with me once your water has broken, 'kay? Until then, shush. #59 - Posted by: Sulamie on September 2, 2008 04:03 AMSigned off and now back. Yes I'm THAT mad. Know why? Because I, like many other normal folks here, are STUNNED at the selfish, barbaric stupidity by those on the left. The most ignorant of the bunch are most likely not parents so have no flippin clue. Let me make abstinence education simple for you: If you don't want your children to do something, it's because you are trying to PROTECT them. You don't say, "Don't do drugs" and then hand them instructions on how to use them "just in case". If you do, you're a stinkin hypocrite and your kids will see right through it. Here's the part you don't get - it's called M-O-R-A-L-I-T-Y. All your feel-good, find your own path, make it up as you go, and they're gonna do it anyway crap is pathetic. Kids need guidance and direction. The Sarah Palin's of the world are the REAL heroes - training their kids up in the way they should go. Just because we as parents have made mistakes, that does NOT mean it's okay to expect the same of our children. So we have the courage to stick with the highest standard possible for them. THAT is what you want for your children - only the best. Of course they're going to make their own choices - some of those bad - and they're going to mess up -we ALL do. But as parents you respond with grace and love and support. Only cowards cover up their mistakes. Abortion is the ultimate cowardly act. It is Satan's most vicious attack on women because it goes against EVERYTHING He has designed us to be (loving, nurturing, motherly). So to those of you who seek to defend abortion so passionately for whatever reason know this - the truth will set you free and there is forgiveness for you right where you are. Receive it and fight the good fight. The fight of our generation. You're darn skippy I'm a Bible thumper. My Bible has a LOT of THUMP in it, too. Oh and btw, if you want to see where your tax dollars are going for the alternative to abstinence ed., check out planned parenthood's site www.takecaredownthere.org Talk about the CRAZEEES!!!!!!!!!!!!! Time to defund that beast. #60 - Posted by: Sulamie on September 2, 2008 04:42 AMAmniotic fluid does leak sometimes, especially during the third trimester. Labor doesn't always follow waters breaking, either, and sometimes labor has to be induced. Giving birth isn't like it is in the movies. #61 - Posted by: Dormouse on September 2, 2008 05:02 AMWhy be mad? Aside from getting some of us irritated, there's nothing they can do. Their poorly chosen pick gets elected- Don't even worry about it. The sad thing is that after being exposed as frauds, they look to us to save them. EVERY TIME. In the years to come, I won't be defending them as rigorously... #62 - Posted by: AlanABQ on September 2, 2008 05:03 AM"Satan's most vicious attack on women because it goes against EVERYTHING He has designed us to be.." Okay I was/am waaaay tired but I think most of you know the "He" I was referring to was God and not the devil!! ho boy, better get back to bed. 4 am here in CA and I've been up w/3 sick kids all night! Tomorrow (er, today) should be fun. Maybe I'll get a nap (hahaha - yeah right!) Oh and thanks Alan for the reassurance. And Dormouse you are right-on...definitely NOT like the movies. With one of mine...my water broke and baby didn't come for 2 days! One final note off subject - we were in Big Sur last week on vacation and on the way home back down the coast saw a bunch of Ron Pauler's in front of a mall with signs! Things like, "Wake up America" and "Get Real, Get Ron". I couldn't believe my eyes!!!! #63 - Posted by: Sulamie on September 2, 2008 07:13 AMIn an attempt to turn the rabid conversation around (MSM/liberalblogs, etc. attacking Sarah and her family on personal issues) could we at least sanely discuss the teaching, BY THE GOVERNMENT, of sexuality? Should this be a government role? If yes, please provide proof that the teaching of how to have "safe" sex has REDUCED the number of out of wed lock pregnancies and STDs. If it is working (reducing pregnancy and STDs), then prove it - if it is not working then please explain why my tax dollars should continue to pay for it. AND, because I just can't help myself, if anyone attacked my daughters in this manner and I had the capability to actually bring down a moose with a rifle, those attacking would very soon be very quiet. Go Sarah! Way back in the early '50's there was a young couple just out of high school who announced to each of their parents that they had to get married immediately. No ifs or buts, it had to happen because -- whoopsie. So they did, and the baby was born, and that was my uncle. If they had decided not to take responsibility for their actions they would not have likely gone on to have my dad, and ergo, I would not exist, and the Institute of Legitimate Wisdom would be even more nonexistent than it is now. That said, while 17 is less than an ideal age, we are certainly not doing people any favors by structuring our education system in such a way as to expect everyone to get masters' degrees before seriously considering starting a family. When people are forced to wait that long, now that our public high schools are practically rubbish as far as teaching the knowledge and skills necessary for independence and starting a family, they have to spend even longer either going to school or just figuring out what the hell they're supposed to be doing, and they end up doing stupid things to cope with the fact that they're still missing something that they can't have yet. #65 - Posted by: George guy on September 2, 2008 09:50 AMWay to go Sulamie! #66 - Posted by: Jimmy on September 2, 2008 09:56 AMI heard that one of Obama's daughters refuses to pick up her toys and the other one - get this - acutally wet the bed. It's clear that Barack Obama is unfit to become President, and should devote more time to keeping his family in line. #67 - Posted by: Beo on September 2, 2008 11:23 AM#64 I couldn't agree more. Not working and not their job! Add to the fact that where I live they believe kids should also learn about the "normalcy" of homosexuality and - well - it's just one of the MANY reasons I home school. Please pray for us here in CA regarding the Marriage Protection Act. Thanks Jimmy! George Guy: Thanks for sharing. People need to hear those stories. About 40 years ago a young, mentally ill woman became pregnant. Her doctor told her parents she should have an abortion because the child would be "as sick as her" (she was bipolar). They flew her out of state to have the "procedure". She got pregnant again and had another abortion. The third time, 36 years ago, her father put a stop to it after a pastor told him it was murder. She gave birth to a girl and gave her up for adoption. A year later she had another girl and she, too, went to a loving, adoptive family. That second girl was me. Now I may not have the wisdom you do (hee hee) but both my half-sis and I love God, country, and are moms of 3 each (me going on 4th.) Oh and neither one of us are "sick like her." BTW, I just read an article about the rest of your post - how throughout history people married younger and how today we're not doing them any favors by expecting them to wait so long. #68 - Posted by: Sulamie on September 2, 2008 02:43 PMNot to mention the fact that Liberals are all for Government staying out of a woman's body and right to choose...unless that woman happens to be a teen mother to a Republican candidate, who chooses Life. If Alaska secedes from the US, I'm not only going with them, but I want the Palins to adopt me....and I'm only 1 year younger than Sarah. #69 - Posted by: NunyaB on September 2, 2008 03:30 PMJust because Palin believes in abstinance education, doesn't mean that is what was tought at here daughter's highschool! #70 - Posted by: on September 2, 2008 04:23 PMSulamie, We know who's in charge and that in the end, "every knee will bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is the Christ." Hoping your sweet babies are doing better today. And I hope you got that nap, I've been there done that, made the movie, got the Tee-shirt, wrote the screen play. You are a hero. #71 - Posted by: seanmahair on September 2, 2008 09:00 PMSulamie, We know who's in charge and that in the end, "every knee will bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is the Christ." Philippians 2:5-11. I can never forget that verse because it's tattooed on my right forearm! #68 - Sulamie, hang in there! Post a comment
