Obama Experience
Posted by Frank J. at 10:25 AM | View blog reactions | Comments (14)

Have you heard Obama's new argument about how he has more experience than Palin (yes, he's running against Palin now because McCain's too hard)? He's run a presidential campaign. That gives him the experience to be president.

It's a neat concept. If you run a really good campaign and get elected president, then you have the experience to be president. If you lose the election, then obviously you didn't have the needed experience. This means that we've gotten the best presidential choice in all our elections since the winner each time ran the best campaign. We have a perfect system!

I'm telling you, they are grasping at straws. They must be....this is the week Obama FINALLY decided to go on O'Reilly.

I was watching Fox this morning when the anchor told Bob Beckel that Obama was gong on OReilly Thursday. BB was in shock, shook his head said he would never put a candidate on O Reilly.

Obama thinks he's going to get a bounce out of it.....I think (hope) OReilly will tear him apart.

In every category Palin has more experience than Obama. She has more time in office of any kind. She's parented more children then he will ever parent. She's lived in a more vigorous and dangerous climate then even Chicago's ritzy 'burbs.

She has worked her way up through the ranks unlike the "anointed one" who has served less than 200 days in office without being on the campaign trail. So the Obamanations need to find some other non-issue to campaign on.

Here a new and interesting concept. How about you get your "messiah" to tell the country what his actual plans are? Let's here some real plans. Bet he won't,either he'll offend his base or frighten the majority.

I double dog dare him to reveal his agenda.

I actually first heard this argument (Barry O. being more qualified because he's been running for president for 18 months) the day after Palin was announced as the VP pick. I laughed then, and I laugh now.

Frank, I like your suggestion that Obama's running against Palin now because McCain is too hard.

Increase student skill in math and science ? Project denied.

Increase ethnic agitation ? Project approved !

Barack Obama worked with known terrorist Bill Ayers to squander 100 million dollars of someone elses money. How did they squandered it?

Make sure to listen to the Stanley Kurtz interviews. Obama and Ayers ran what was an AMWAY of racial industry. They approved projects that taught racial agitprop to minority students while passing over projects that would have taught math and science to these same students.

Maybe that is America's only growth industry? Maybe that and things similar like Man Made Global Warming are the future of commerce here in the USA.

This does not bode well for liberty. The minority students in these programs are at best soft gangsters in training. Afterall what else is MMGW and the race industry but a prettied up form of extortion of John Q. TaxPayer?

Maybe I should resign myself to these.

The only two things he has experience in is racism and calling everyone else racist. Beyond that he's just annoying.

Not only do I have tons of foreign policy experience, but also interstellar, intergalactic, and intertemporal experience! I read "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and "The Restaurant at the End of the Universe", you know.

OK, not so much read as had a brief summary read to me while I was being serviced by Keith Olberman. But it still counts as experience, you racist crackers!

I can't wait until Palin is president and we outlaw abortion and gay marriage once and for all! We can pack the court for decades to come. No wonder those stupid KOS liberals are squirming! Heh.

Libs ridicule conservative moral values but depend on those moral values to save them from our unrestrained wrath.

OMG, you Obama people really are idiots! The Republican attack machine hasn't even warmed up yet and Obama has supplied them with enough ammunition to start WWIII. Do yourself a favor, please Google:

Ayers Obama
Wright Obama
Farrakhan Obama
Odinga Obama
al Mansour Obama
Rezko Obama

Believe me, the Republicans already have.

And now a lawsuit has been filed by a Democrat challenging Obama's citizenship. Can you say "October surprise?"

Lately, we've heard a lot about the "lack of experience" which this or that political candidate has, with the insinuation that electing him or her would endanger the country. Blah-blah-blah. The rhetoric is principally aimed at Obama and Palin, and all of it is pure bullcrap, of course.

First of all, regarding the subject of experience, let me tell you there are often cases where it's vitally important. For example, you want a physician or a dentist who has some experience behind him rather than one who has none. You want an experienced lawyer to represent you in court, not someone who's fresh out of school. You want someone who is knowledgeable when it comes to filling out your tax forms, fixing your plumbing or electrical problems, or repairing your car.

But in the area of politics? Hell, roll the dice and pick one. Looking at some past presidents who were billed as experienced leaders, it might be instructive for you to recall that HERBERT HOOVER was seen as "the most qualified candidate" for the White House. Before becoming president, he had served as the Belgian Relief Commissioner, U.S. Food Administrator, Chairman of the American Relief Administration in Europe, and Secretary of Commerce. But as a result of his presidential policies and those of his two predecessors, America was sent reeling into a historic 12-year economic depression. Or look at LYNDON JOHNSON. Before becoming president, he had been a member of Congress for 23 years and a vice president for three. There was almost nothing about government he didn't know, and yet, because of his decisions, we found ourselves unnecessarily embroiled in a long, bloody conflict that we not only failed to win but which took 56,000 American lives as well. How about RICHARD NIXON? He was in Congress for six years and served as vice president for eight. What did we get? Watergate. And a reflection such as this would not be complete without looking at GEORGE W. BUSH. His prior experience for the job consisted of a two-term governorship in Texas,. Real "executive" material, right? So what's happened since he became president? The U.S. invaded a country that didn't pose a threat ... the budget surplus vanished and the deficit skyrocketed ... high unemployment and both a housing and energy crisis has emerged ... America's treatment of political prisoners has become an international scandal ... and the list goes on and on. Make no mistake about it: in the past, incompetence has been well represented at the White House level, despite the fact that it was preceded by experience.

Nearly all the big problems in the world are caused by people with prior experience, no matter if you're talking about politics, or business, or religion, or whatever. Traditionally, people with many years of experience have made boneheaded decisions and then left us to deal with the mess they made. Or they continue to go along with some corrupt system or policies which have long been set into place, often because they're too lazy to buck the trend or it somehow suits them. I submit that effective leadership is not measured by someone's title or career longevity; rather, it depends on how much common sense one has and how well one listens. The attributes of a good leader have nothing at all to do with the number of job skills obtained, or the educational level acquired, or the circle of friends obtained in high places. Instead, good leadership will reflect a solid analytical ability and it will contain a large measure of compassion. Other traits that help to provide good leadership are honesty .... the courage to be different .... and an imaginative streak that will enable that individual to see what can be rather than what is.

So, spare me the song about someone's lack of experience threatening the future of our country. I'm tired of listening to that old canard. It usually comes from those who have impressive resumés of on-the-job experience, but who, in the past, have nevertheless played a vital role in screwing things up.
