Bill Whittle at NRO
Posted by Frank J. at 12:10 PM | View blog reactions | Comments (39)

Bill Whittle has a new essay, but this time it's on NRO. It's about the enthusiasm we're all feeling about this election that I think some of us feared we wouldn't feel again.

Great read. I hope he get to write for them again.

When Obama beat Hillary, Palin said "Sambo beat the bitch." The racist Palin has also referred to Alaskan residents as "Arctic Arabs" and "f***ing eskimos" Palin lied about selling that plane on eBay - in fact it did not sell on eBay at all and Alaska ended up losing money on it because of Palin. She also left her hometown very much in dept from her stint as Mayor - she in fact nearly bankrupted her hometown. Se is a notorious tax raiser, big spender - she hearts ear marks. She was for the bridge to nowhere before was against it. Palin is also potentially quite stupid - she attended six colleges and just six years. She has no business being vice president or president. She is not fiscally conservative but only a social conservative. Join the campaign the have McCain throw this stupid fish back in the water. We need Romney to win this election which is going to be all about the lousy economy. Romney also never made racist insults about african americans or eskimos. Yah Romney! It's not too late!! w00t!

I need to finally go read that. I was Reading E3 last night but didn't hit the link to NRO, as I was continuously attacked by conservatives...

I was shocked to see he actually posted something, what with his months-long hiatuses.

Wow, I hadn't realized all that until now. I'm glad you came forward with these links so we can all see the truth.

Thanks so much; you've really opened my eyes here!

#3 - Posted by: AlanABQ on September 6, 2008 01:25 PM

I am also concerned that Palin sounds more like a placement to appease the religious right (like Huckabee) than someone who can help us with the economy and the war on terror. McCain probably picked her because she won't object whe he decides to raise taxes. I'm not sure anyone in this election on either side of the aisle is going to cut taxes or kill Osama Bin Laden. All anyone gives a crap about anymore is whether or not abortion is legal and whether a candidate believes in God. F***! Normally, a poor choice like this would be slammed by conservatives but because of the religious right she is being praised. It's all very stupid and short-sighted and not good for our country. Wake up Folks! There are much bigger issues out there than abortion and Down Syndrome babies!

[I am very concerned you have a dangerous mental condition. I am not opposed to you; I am honestly on your side and concerned for you. -Ed.]

I'm not sure this was a good pick. If the affair rumor is true -- the damn Enquirer was right about Edwards -- or rumors like she left her small town in debt is true -- we could lose. They also skipped all the morning talk shows this morning which is really troubling. We need to let the public see her and learn about her or the democrats will take the White House. Most people won't vote for an unknown. I think a different pick than Palin would have been much safer. There is too much potential for scandals with Palin and not much time to refute them, especially with them hiding her away. Still, i hope for the best.

#5 - Posted by: Worried in Bloomfied Hills on September 6, 2008 02:00 PM

We will probably lose this election but religion and pro-life are so important that we must choose it over the economy. We must stand up for it and have a party that does. That's better than selling out to Romney or Guiliani just for lower taxes. The good news is after four years of Obama the U.S. will be eager for Palin-whoever!!!

[Is this what you people do all day? "The Unemployable for Obama!" -Ed.]

#6 - Posted by: Geode on September 6, 2008 02:07 PM

I wanted Romney :-( Six colleges in six years. God help us all.

[Did I accidentally leave a concern troll attractant? -Ed.]

#7 - Posted by: Raptor on September 6, 2008 02:11 PM

OMGSH people man up Whittle ain't kidding she is the most refreshingly real politician we've ever seen and she is going to electrify the base and hopefully get us to the white house where we can fix everything we've screwed up. And for petes sake!!! the enquirer as a source?!?! get real

#8 - Posted by: on September 6, 2008 02:22 PM

I heard that Palin is one of those "reptilians" that are infiltrating out govenment. If you watch her move you can tell. Every now and then the illusion field slips and you can see a flash of her oily looking scales. You just have to watch for it. Oh yeah, and who doesn't think her whole family looks like hybrids?

#9 - Posted by: TBinSTL on September 6, 2008 02:23 PM

Hmm...In 1992, America chose (sort of) to elect a governor from a relatively small state who was "one of the people". It was hailed as type of revolution because Clinton was a "third way" Democrat who would work across all the party lines.

Now there's Sara Palin. She's not trying for the top spot; she was chosen. She truly is one of the people. She genuinely has family values & she at least knows who fathered her children (I say that with a wink to Hillary Clinton & her daughter, Chelsea Hubbell). For years people have said "we need someone more down to earth in Washington! We need someone who's not such a professional politico!", and now that the opportunity is here, all any detractors can bitch about is how unremarkable she is to them.

WTF is that about!? She comes with intimate family experiences & all the tough decisions that come from facing life with a special needs child while running a state AND she has more practical experience than the half & half buffoon the left has exalted. I'd bet Michelle Obambi would've killed a Down fetus cat-quick; I mean, she wouldn't want something she couldn't be proud of, right?

#10 - Posted by: AlanABQ on September 6, 2008 02:29 PM

She's not a reptile but she is a tax raising loser and the only people who like her are the religious crazies. Country first not bible bangers first!

#11 - Posted by: TBinDFW on September 6, 2008 02:31 PM

"The racist Palin has also referred to Alaskan residents as 'Arctic Arabs' and 'f***ing eskimos'"

Palin is well known to hate Eskimos . . . which is why she married a guy who's part one.

"I am also concerned that Palin sounds more like a placement to appease the religious right"

That's because you're a sock puppet for the above commenter.

Don't worry - I have personally absolved Palin of all sins and granted her a full indulgence for any past transgressions, hence I will pray for the U.S. economy and believe you guys could only be so lucky to have her as VP.

Benedict, St. Peters, Rome

#12 - Posted by: Excited in Vatican Hill on September 6, 2008 02:34 PM

I was originally for Palin, but links to ThinkProgress.org and LA Progressive must confirm beyond any possible doubt to everyone that she is unfit for VP.

If you can't trust them, who can you trust?

I also believe the Democrats should concentrate on that school bit. If there's one thing that can win this election for them, it's emphasizing how awesome Obama is because he went to an elite university (I even heard he went to an Ivy League school...I forget which one) and that everybody who didn't go to an elite university is unfit to compete. That was John Kerry's problem - He was too humble.

#13 - Posted by: WAL on September 6, 2008 02:51 PM

When I heard Palin had been chosen for the VP spot I got 1/3 of a Fred! charge. 1/3 is better than none.
No matter who the Republicans nominate for any office, the commies, fellow travelers (as they were called in my yout) and useful idiots will smear with any lie they can. The stronger the candidate the louder and more outrageous the lies.

I try...

...to be as fair as as possible to these fellow Republicans who deserve our full respect (BTW, guys, as long as you're here I want to take a second again to say what an awesome pick Biden was. Seriously, bravo! Excellent pick, I can't think of anything I feared more...No really...)

#16 - Posted by: WAL on September 6, 2008 03:24 PM

Because of the informative and accurate articles linked to by the first poster, I have re-evaluated my unquestioning support for the Republican party and Sarah Palin. I will be erasing my current news bookmarks and replacing them with the more accurate sources referred by DumpPalin4Romney. Thank you for helping me become more enlightened.

And please don't let the mockers bother you - is it not all worth it to know that you have saved at least one person?!?! Thank-you again and I will always remember and honor you as my mentor of enlightenment!

We don't need tests and fancy college degrees to show how smart we are - that's liberal bullshit.

#18 - Posted by: Badger on September 6, 2008 03:56 PM

Shut up ya damn liberal trolls! We aren't trying to hide that Palin is 100% pro-life, that she wants creationism taught in public schools or that she wants polar bears off the endangered list. That's what we all want to and we want it reportedly fairly and shouted from the rooftops. We think creationism is what American wants! fek all ya liberal scum!

#19 - Posted by: 3Packsaday on September 6, 2008 03:57 PM

I heard that Sarah Palin once removed the tag from her mattress...the one that CLEARLY states, "Do Not Remove Under Penalty of Law." One of my friends found it while he was making a routine search through her garbage cans. The Republicans are so screwed when this gets out. I understand US Weekly will be running a cover story, entitled, "The Tag That Destroyed The Republican Party So We Could Stop Crying". The following week, they'll be running the cover story, "Why Obama Bought His Children A Puppy", just to be fair and non-biased.

To make matters worse, I'm also hearing rumors that one time at Disney World she didn't "keep her hands and feet within the ride at all times" and started to depart the ride before it came to a complete stop. Maybe these wise trolls are really onto something...or maybe just on something.

Because it isn't true, you idiot, I said so! . . . well, okay, Lamarckian evolution is true, but anything else makes you a heretic, except for Sarah Palin, because she's cool.

Hi. I am a community organizer. Like so many other community organizers I also have a very tiny penis. Now listen to my brilliant points: Evolution! I love evolution. Evolution and global warming for the win! Gimme fifty lattes now! I went to ivy league school. I am smarter than you. Creationism is dumb. Fossils are real and not fake. Obama rules!

#24 - Posted by: Hulk on September 6, 2008 04:16 PM

There is just one thing I want to know about the Sara Palin choice:

Does Cave Troll endorse her? 'Cause if he does, I'm all in.

#25 - Posted by: AlanABQ on September 6, 2008 04:41 PM

Palin is too conservative and has too much baggage. The reaction from the left proves it. Time to call in a real candidate to rescue the country and the Republican campaign by bringing moderation - Ron Paul!!!

#26 - Posted by: DumpPalinforRonPaul on September 6, 2008 06:14 PM

Man! I was so swept up in the applause for SARAH! that I didn't even know about this other stuff until I read it here. I hate to say it, being a genuine Reepublican, but may be we should reconsider. If we could convince McCain to put Huckabee on the ticket we'd get a huge bounce in the polls from the people who are just now finding about that scandle-ridden b**ch before it's too late. Please people, just think about it!!!

[You convinced us too, genuine reetard. -Ed.]

#27 - Posted by: EBear on September 6, 2008 09:02 PM

Of course Palin has too much baggage. How do you think she is going to get those grizzly bear and moose hides to Washington, if not in her bags?

And you community organizer types had better help her with her bags. It's the only way you're going to make a dime once she and McCain are in the White House.

Ed, that was funny as heck. Hysterical Hippies.

#31 - Posted by: Vivian Louise on September 7, 2008 08:14 AM

Hilarious, Ed.

The irony is that both hippies and Black Metal bands worship trees (well, technically the Black Metal bands worship tree-gods, but you get my drift).

Actually, all I know about forests I learned from Evil Dead 2 so I say cut 'em ALL down.

#32 - Posted by: otcconan on September 7, 2008 12:56 PM

OHMYGOODNESS Ed that was HILARIOUS!

There is a Veggie Tales movie that has a similar theme. In it one of the vegetables (a squash, I think) is holding a twig and chanting, "Oh twig, you are so mighty and, um, twig-like!" and everyone else is laughing at him/thinking he's crazy.

It's pretty bad when children (and most vegetables) know the difference between worshipping the Creator vs. the creation but grown men and women don't. UGH!

#33 - Posted by: Sulamie on September 7, 2008 10:33 PM

Oh, poo. Thre thread went all regular again. I wanted more concern trolls. I know it probably isn't right to laugh at them, but honestly -- I'm not looking down on them all that much. It's just...when they dress up and try to look like normal people, it's adorable.

#34 - Posted by: S. Weasel on September 8, 2008 04:58 AM

Well, I have to say that I am concerned about the Sarah Palin pick. Really, it is unseemly for Republicans to be acting the way they are. People are going to begin to wonder about whether we are really ready to lead the country if, every time the KOSKids and Mr. PowerGlutes (Andrew Sullivan) come up with a new smear, we double over laughing at the ridiculousness of it all. And, let's face it, it is going to be difficult to answer Democratic charges when we are all completely unable to speak because the latest oh-so-serious attacks from the MSM have us gasping in hysterics on the floor. Frankly, I am not sure that they will think we are serious about the whole thing, or whether it was just a practical joke to cause the left to collectively have their heads explode. I know, I know, win-win and all that, but still....

David

#35 - Posted by: David on September 8, 2008 05:24 AM

I too was initially enthused about Sarah Palin, but these attacks from the left have me deeply concerned. There's just too much we don't know, it's Harriett Meirs all over again. How do we know Palin doesn't have a ton of baggage out there waiting to trip up over? I'll bet the Alaska Highway Troopers have written her up for driving in the left lane (withOUT passing, thank you very hello!) or some similar millstone she's gonna hang around our necks.

If I were a Bull Moose I'd be worried is all I'm sayin here.

#21 - Tim.

In order to believe in Darwinian Evolution you must believe the following equation:

Nothing times Noone equals Everything.

The entire foundation for modern science stems from the Biblical teaching that the universe has order; that we can discover and know that order; and make practical decisions and predictions based on our understanding of that order.

There is order beyond the chaos. The Truth is knowable.

Darwinism is atractive to some people because if they can (in their own minds) rid the universe of 'God the Creator' then they can also free themselves from fear of 'God the Righteous Judge'!

To a radical Darwinian socialist there is no virtue but survival; and no sin but failure.
Unfortunately you can't maintain even a flock of goats for long with a philosophy like that, let alone a stable, human civilization.
