Frank Perspective

When the Founding Fathers made this country, no one had electricity or indoor plumbing, so if that’s how we all end up after this financial crisis, from a historical perspective it won’t be that bad.

    I am fine with that.

  2. McWert Deglieb says:

But we’ll be wiping our bums with chicken bones, just like Iran.

Every portfolio should diversify into canned goods and shotguns.

  3. CiDhed says:

Darn, I am going to have to hurry up and make up my mind on whether I want to buy a AK or a Mini30.

  4. Marvin says:

As long as you live in the country, you will be fine. If you live in the city, you will be surrounded by filthy, foul smelling people and waist. San Fransisco will go unchanged.

  5. Son of Bob says:

    Marvin,

…but the people of Berkeley will have to undergo major improvements to meet the new standards.

  6. zdomain says:

Yes, but they had real leadership. We have the ugliest group of people ever assembled trying to constantly get their faces on TV.

  7. RightWingKiller says:

    I can’t wait!
I’ve been getting ready while supporting Obama to bring it on. We’ll finally have the chance to get rid of the monkey faced liberals once and for all.
Whatever you get, make sure it is reliable; ie NOT an AR! and that ammo is availible; ie, NOT 7.62 nato.
and remeber the magazine rule; 50 per rifle.
I like my new Galils, an AK in 5.56. Just be sure and onmly use the M855 rounds.

  8. CiDhed says:

I am going 7.62×39 ammo is cheap enough I can stock up on a pretty decent amount of it.

I don’t need electricity – just a good man to keep warm at night.

  10. Trish says:

When the Founding Fathers made this country, there wasn’t any income tax, either.

Let’s get back to that one.

  11. Jimmy says:

    Trish, also cross-off:

    Social Security
    Medicare
    Welfare
    Federal Aid to Education
    (and a whole lot more)

  12. ILoveMyFreedoms says:

Trish and Jimmy, can we possibly miss what we never experienced? YES, we can! McPalin ’08.

  13. Joseph says:

Just as long as I have enough light to run my reloading press I’ll be perfectly happy.

  14. Cadet Happy says:

I take offense to this statement:

“But we’ll be wiping our bums with chicken bones, just like Iran.”

They actually wipe their butts with their left hand.

  15. cataalex says:

In that case, Cadet Happy, if you know any lefthanded Iranians, I wouldn’t be shaking hands with any of them!!!

  16. seanmahair says:

Not to be a crank but they also suffered from bad teeth, high infant and mother mortality, disentary, smallpox, the French disease (syphillis), gout, malnutrition, lead poisoning and a host of other calamities. Over the years we’ve managed to figure out either what causes these problems or how to work around them.

They also prayed in public, censured those who stepped outside accepted mores, read the Bible and carried weapons. We must learn from the mistakes and successes of the past in order to move into the future.

So it’s time to pray that Obama does not win, put our own moral and ethical house in order, read the Scriptures daily and carry a Glock. This so works for me.

I’ve got to score a couple hundred feet of copper tubing.
When barter makes its big comeback, I’ll be set to supply all the moon-shiner wanna-bes.
Whisky backed currency – another great idea from the past.
Also beer and wine home-brew in every medicine cabinet!

    ‘Give beer to those who are perishing, wine to those who are in anguish;
Let them drink and forget their poverty and remember their misery no more.’

    Proverbs 31:6-7
