Two and counting

References to Obama as “articulate.” Once by someone planning to vote for him, and once by a McCain supporter. Now THAT’S racist.

    Which McCain supporter? Slick Willie?

  2. Solanthropy says:

A trademark of insecure writers is to make controversial statements. Don’t qut your day job.

  3. sarahk says:

Ok, I won’t qut my day job.

  4. Flavius says:

But the question posed-Is Obama a white racist or a black racist? He’s not an American racist, having been born in Kenya.

  5. Jimmy says:

But he’s also clean. That’s double the pleasure.

  6. MarkoMancuso says:

Speaking of clean, I bet Obama uses a teleprompter when he showers. How else can he figure out how to turn the water thingy on?

  7. Balthazar says:

Obama won today by managing to keep it and having no gaffes. I think McCain will be better prepared in the next debate.

  8. dkirk says:

So is he cleanly articulate, or articulately clean?

  9. Terry_Jim says:

98% of Blacks are voting for Obama?

    Racists.

  10. Trish says:

“A trademark of insecure writers is to make controversial statements. Don’t qut your day job.”

Gee, I could have sworn there were a lot of writers who wrote controversial things and did all right. James Joyce? J.D.Salinger? Norman Mailer?

I guess they didn’t have day jobs, though.

  11. dkirk says:

Trish, you forgot. Only libs are allowed to make controversial statements. The end justifies the means, remember?

  12. Jimmy says:

Terry_Jim, I heard 95% – which just defies the laws of probability for ANY ethnic group. Not even Hispanics are that Democrat. I guess most blacks have been so thoroughly brainwashed that it’s paying off for the Democrats.

I like visiting black Republican websites. Here’s one I visit often:

    The Black Republican

  16. DamnHappyinOhio says:

Hey have you people seen the polls. Barack is taking all the independents!! He kicked McCain’s ass and in foreign policy too! We are going to take the white house, senate and congress and you get nothing. Woo-hoo! Woo-hoo! Woo-hoo!

  17. DamnHappyinOhio says:

CBS and CNN polls are out and McCain got trounced! Woo-hoo! Woo-hoo! Woo-hoo!

  18. Son of Bob says:

At what point was Obama articulate?

Oh, and FoxNews poll was 80% McCain, 15% Obama

  19. Bob in Feenicks says:

    OH NO! We’re screwed!
    We’re really, really screwed!!

It’s like the trolls are saying…because everyone knows the polls taken a couple hours after a debate are the most accurate polls in the world and are always reflective of an election.

  20. WAL says:

    DamnHappyinOhio Says:

Why do I suspect he is not actually from Ohio?

Hey have you people seen the polls. Barack is taking all the independents!! He kicked McCain’s ass and in foreign policy too!

If you have to wait for a poll to come out to decide whether or not your guy won the debate, he didn’t win the debate.

Anyway scientific (at least among national polls) are usually done over a period of three days – not one hour on a Friday night, so I’ll take that with a grain of salt (not to mention that CBS and CNN usually have a more liberal tilt in their polling).

So what did you like best about Obama’s debate style? The 546,378 “uhs” or just getting slapped down by someone who knows something about foreign policy?

  21. Burt says:

The Rampant Racism that I witnessed last night came, IIRC, from Bob Schieffer and George Stephanopolis. They were discussing whether McCain looked pale and washed-out.

  22. cataalex says:

I saw five minutes of the debate when Obama was speaking. The uh’s and amm’s made me sleepy so I went off to bed.

  23. WAL says:

    well, whaddya know

“The results may be favoring Obama simply because more Democrats than Republicans tuned in to the debate. Of the debate-watchers questioned in this poll, 41 percent of the respondents identified themselves as Democrats, 27 percent as Republicans and 30 percent as independents.”

    http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/09/27/debate.poll/

And yet it leaned for Obama – I’m shocked.

  24. sarahk says:

Marco, LOL re: the shower comment.

Balthazar, that bracelet thing wasn’t a gaffe at all. You’re right. Winner Obama!
Ohio, you are cracking me up with all your delusions. McCain cleaned the floor with Obama on foreign policy.

  25. Freemon SandleWould says:

McCain needs to let it off the leash. He’s all repressed but when he flashes that light sarcasm like about Obammy having AchMaDeenaJod over for pancakes its much better. And [flibbertyfloo] can’t we bomb Iran just for giving their jackass leaders such goofy names. Even Joe Stalin was accomodating on that issue.

  26. iraqwarwrong says:

Um are you saying he’s NOT articualte sarahk. Taht’s sounds pretty rascist to me.

  27. sarahk says:

Uhhhh uhhhh uhhhhh… No. I’m saying that McCain IS articulate. THAT’S RACIST!

  28. Wylomena says:

Obama won. Now to just get the next two and then the presidency.

    [p.s. I'm from Chicago!]

  29. Trish says:

    Wylomena–

Oh, you’re from Chicago? Gee, none of us would ever have guessed.
