He worked on the James Webb Space telescope?

- Over-budget and super-expensive
- Looks at one thing and ignores everything else
- Is expected to go a million miles away, unfold a sunshade the size of a tennis court, and operate in total darkness and cold
- While promoted as a Hubble replacement, it actually does maybe 10 percent of what Hubble did, but does it better.
- Once launched, it can never be serviced and will never be seen again, even if successful.

So, basically we have an expert at sending piles of money a million miles away to hide in darkness with lots of “trust us, it will work” engineering and data that only benefits a small subset of astronomers even if it does.

Yep, he’s qualified to run this puppy.

Goldman Sachs is running the US Government at the moment, so this appointment is not surprising. What’s surprising is that the guy was a space engineer. But that’s what happens to a lot of engineers: they get that MBA, see dollar signs and give up engineering to be with the big boys.

If Paulson brought him in, he’s undoubtedly yet another far left liberal like Paulson.

I wonder if George W is even smart enough to know at this point that his entire presidency wouldn’t have been continually undermined if he hadn’t been stupid enough to keep liberals in key positions.
