Today, Barack Obama congratulated John McCain on his hard-fought campaign.

Obama congratulates McCain

A picture is worth a thousand words.

Tell me again why this guy is leading in the polls? Is it that we’re living in Bizarro World?

    Only one poll matters.

Also there’s a group of folks that gets real excited when the guy one stage uses profane language or gestures. It’s part of the “rock star” effect.

  2. PaleoMedic says:

Bizarro World, indeed. My dear departed grandparents would be pretty damn angry to see the brazen “Gimme it all right now!” attitude displayed by the Boomers and some of the Gen Xers. And Obambi’s not-too-subtle gesture is a prime example of his ire that an old dude would mar his coronation in such a way.

OT, but not too much. I spent 2.10/gallon on gas last Saturday. How come this is not news? People, that’s over two bucks less than I spent in July.

  3. innominatus says:

#2 PaleoMedic – Your lower gas price is not news like reduced casualties in Iraq is not news. Actually, dropping roughly in half from $4+ per gallon to $2+ kinda takes the steam out of the “Drill Baby, Drill!” that I thought was going to be such a campaign asset for our side. I guess it’s too late in the election cycle to bomb Iran and close the Straits to force oil prices back up to where we could hammer on energy prices.

Moral of the Story: When in doubt, bomb Iran sooner rather than later.

Oh, and maybe Frank can trick Obama into saying his name backwards and undo all this Bizarro stuff we’re seeing.

Then I look at the header and see it’s a Basil post, and I look even dumber than usual.

  6. Alucard says:

That gesture is a well-known greeting among community organizers, and is completely harmless. It’s racist to suggest otherwise.

    Kcarab Niessuh Amabo

Nope. Didn’t work. Basil is right. Bizarro World.

    du du – du du
du du – du du …

“You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension…”

  8. Tim says:

Jimmy, what about Amabo Niessuh Kcarab? Drat.. still didn’t work… :D

Maybe we need to say it three times?

  9. ILoveMyFreedoms says:

It was just a matter of time – when the planets of Gimme, PublicEd, Media, and Discontent aligned – before The One could be groomed for the Second Coming.

I once grieved for the next generation; now I grieve for my own generation as well. How can it be that so many cannot see through this Obama and his outright socialist manifesto? Are we not witnessing history in motion: the disintegration of liberties that our founders wished to avoid at all costs, that our brave men fought against just six decades ago, that we currently hope to rebuild in Iraq?

My heart weeps for the future of our once-great nation. Little did we know its very people would bring it to its knees, and the Second Revolution would likely be at hand.

this guys smirk on or shortly after flying the birdie gives away his game. This guy is trash. We have to start the resistance immediately. This is Hitler winning the Chancelorship in 1932. Elected yes but democratic afterwards ? no.

#9 ILMF – Senator Joe McCarthy knew. President Ronald Reagan knew. If we fail to stop it, we just weren’t worthy of their legacies.
