Why then should America economically bind itself with treaties and mandates that will accomplish nothing except warm and fuzzy feelings for pantheists? In other words, we'll find out in a few years. The biggest tragedy of the "global warming" fiasco, <i>should it prove to be false</i>, is that it will have destroyed any faith in climatological science for a generation. That would be sad, and reason enough to have Jim Hansen and the entire UN climate panel taken out and shot.
