Telegenic

With Obama appointing Dr. Sanjay Gupta as Surgeon General, I wonder if he could appoint more TV personalities to his administration. He should appoint Alec Baldwin’s character from 30 Rock to something; that guy is smart. And we all know Jack Bauer would make a better head of the CIA than Leon Panetta (I hear a rumor he’s pro-torture, though). And no matter what the post, you can’t go wrong with Mr. T.

Hammy thinks Gupta is a good choice; the nutroots are still whining over how he dared challenge Moore about universal healthcare. I hear you have to take a bunch of antibiotics for even talking to that guy.

I’ve lost track of who he’s appointed, Frank. But none of them are approved yet (that require approval). And I’m too lazy right now to search the web and get even more depressed about it.

Am I wrong to say that he’s ignoring “academia?” It looks like the guy is desperate all the time by picking mainly Clinton people, beltway insiders or Illinois cronies . He appears lazy; he acts like he’s shopping in a store with little time and making snap “that’ll do” decisions on what to buy.

Am I wrong, or does he not seem to even have connections with the normal liberal bastions across the country from which to draw? A “liberal intellectual” he is not, nor well-connected, nor a deep thinker, nor much of a strategist, it would seem.

I’ll wager most 6th graders can clean him up in a game of checkers – not to mention US history. Whereas it’s reported that his IQ is 130, I’ll wager he’s not “smarter than a 5th grader” on many things. 57 states?

I’ll be quite surprised if he turns out to be anything besides a presidential turkey. But then, I’ve become very pessimistic about the next four years. *sigh*

Welcome to Jocylen Elders Pas Deux. This should be very entertaining, not terribly enlightening but entertaining none the less.

What’s next Oprah as the head of Heath and Human Services, Sean Penn over Homeland Security, and Babs the Streisand as Secretary of Labor. All in keeping with Senators Genius Kennedy, Crooked Burris, and Foul mouthed, idiot in general Franken.

The inmates have taken over the asylum. We need to change the name of Washington DC to Gotham and the Capital to Arkum and we’re all set.

You all DO know that Gupta is one of the top neurosurgeons in the country, don’t you? And that he teaches at Emory and Grady in Atlanta? Or do you just know he’s some dude on CNN? He’s not like Dr. Phil — he’s got the credentials to back that Dr. up.

I’m far from a fan of BO, but this isn’t a pick I’m going to complain about.

What I care about is that this isn’t someone who is out there doing his doctor thang. He out there raking in the cash from CNN et al.

Give me a doctor who is actually treating patients (not including the rich and famous). They might actually have a clue to what the term “Public Servant” actually means.

So sorry, not a fan of Dr. Gupta, Dr. Phil, Judge Judy or Captain Kangaroo (well I used to like the Captain but he’s dead now). I don’t want these people making decisions that impact on me and my family. Send them back to California where they can “practice” their practice on those who appreciate them best, their own kind.

Gupta works at Grady Hospital, and treats some pretty low-income people. He still does surgery, still teaches it. No, he’s not cheap — do you want a cheap neurosurgeon? But yeah, he still practices — which a little research could have told you.

All the Libtard complaints about Dr. Gupta are based on his publicly pointing out that Michael Moore is a fat retarded idiot.
I am now supporting Dr. Gupta because he has publicly pointed out that Michael Moore is a fat retarded idiot.
I do NOT like our new Dear Leader but I will not act toward him the way theLibtards have toward Bush and reject good calls he makes just because I don’t like him.
