Most people laugh when they read Iowahawk, but I get depressed and wonder if I should give up even trying. Well, I may write crap, but at least I do it every day.

Did you run out of anti-depressants or something? Cheer up Frank. Iowahawk is a good blog, but I go there like once a week, if that. I read IMAO several times a day. I like the community here. And dinosaurs with rockets.

Chin up Frank, I didn’t think his post was very funny. The “Hollywood is full of liberals” shtick has been done before, and better. The best comedy is new and unique and that’s where IMAO shines through!

There were juicy bits in that link.
But the fact remains that Burge, AKA IOWAHAWK, has never sent me money.
And until he does IMAO will be my favoritest blog I rarely write at.

Hey, Iowahawk gave you a nice plug just the other day. I mean, sure, he gave you second billing to Treacher but…wait…where was I going with this? Oh yeah - Cheer Up!

Well I for one prefer quantity over quality which is why IMAO is my favorite quasi-humorous political blog. :o)

You are very funny, Frank. Iowahawk does almost pure satire, whereas you use a mix of humorous genres.
But I really come here for my comments.

I agree the comments on this blog are generally pretty good.
Many of the comments on my personal blog are better than my posts.

IMAO is our place, Frank! It’s the place where all of us regulars hang out! Iowahawk is the guy that shows up at the bar once a week, beats the shit out of a couple of totally butch biker chicks and then buys everyone free shots of whiskey while he entertains us fully with devastating humor directed at liberals. Then he’s off and we are all left with each other…yet we remain totally in love with Iowahawk…like in an Abu Garab Middle Man In a Man Sandwich type Love!

“Cold Humpcrack Creekwater: Two retarded gay cowgirl sisters (Rene Zellweger, Traci Lords) defy a fundamentalist sheriff (Chris Cooper) and discover love in this 1930’s period piece set in the Appalachian outback of Nebraskansaw” BWWWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAA!!!!

I’m funny too! You can tell because of my name.

I think I’d like to see Larry the Cable Guy as Fred Mertz. Just sayin’.
January 15th, 2009 at 1:53 pm
IMAO and Rush are the only political OR NEWS sites I visit anymore. Anyplace else is too depressing.
Just sayin.

A remake of The Wizard Of Oz with Frank as the Sad Ninja looking for a hobo to dismember might cheer us all up. That or a documentary with the same story line.

And dinosaurs with rockets.

I’m with the others….I visit a couple times a day (sometimes more if there’s some good banter) and enjoy the commenters as much as the blog. Says something when you attract that kind of loyal and witty peeps!

I might go see Clint Eastwood in ‘Grand Torino’, but I haven’t seen anything released in months that I’d even bother to pay matinee prices to see.
IMAO, on the other hand, is worth visiting every day.
While I appreciate Frankj’s humor, I’m also grateful to the links to other posts he provides.
I’d probably never find them on my own, and my life would be poorer as a result.
(or at least less funnier)

Never mind about such inconsequential nonsense - my friend Mack and his wife Kristie just had a healthy baby boy born a few hours ago (Benjamin Charles) ! Glorious ! Congratulations to you both out there in Cyberspaceland ! :):):):):)

Congrats from me as well. New life should always be celebrated. It’s one of the few things today that are life affirming.
Unlike the political and economic wasteland brought to us by the National Demon-cratic Party, which seeks for everyone to be miserable like unto themselves.
Even when I try to be upbeat, it still spirals out of control. I’m beginning to think medication is the answer. It won’t fix the problem but then I won’t care- its the Demon-cratic way.
