It’s Gonna Be a Rough Four Years

Posted by Harvey on February 19, 2009 at 10:00 am

If we’re not allowed to make monkey-related comments about the President who has the biggest sticky-out chimp-ears since John Tyler.

SIDE NOTE: Rev. Sharpton doesn’t know the difference between “infer” and “imply”.

“Being that the stimulus bill has been the first legislative victory of President Barack Obama (the first African American president) and has become synonymous with him it is not a reach to wonder are they inferring that a monkey wrote the last bill?”

If you infer that Reverend Al is not actually implying, you may be a racist.

  2. Reality intrudes says:

People said Bush was ChimpyBushHitler, but I guess we can’t say Obama is ChimpyOHitler because that would be racist.

So everybody don’t call him ChimpyOHitler. In fact, it should be posted everywhere that it is definitely wrong to call him ChimpyOHitler even though Bush was called something like that.

    Obama is not ChimpyOHitler.

Definitely not ChimpyOHitler and anybody that calls him ChimpyOHitler is probably a racist.

Remember! Do Not Call the President ChimpyOHitler. Tell your friends not to call Obama ChimpyOHitler!

And above all, don’t think the name CHIMPYOHITLER!

    hee hee hee….

  3. Jimmy says:

I would say a whole truckload of monkeys wrote the last bill. Congressional monkeys.

Furthermore, since you have enslaved my children and my future grandchildren without asking them, I’m going to do you a favor by paying for it with bananas, mofo.

  4. MarkoMancuso says:

Right, Al; it’s a victory for Obama, but not for America. Oh wait, that’s the objective. I always forget.

  5. midwestconservative says:

WHAT????????? Do you mean THE OBAMA is not really a chimp , Could have fooled me

  6. ussjimmycarter says:

Michael Steele has issued the following press release:

I am deeply disappointed in IMAO for using the death of the chimp as a platform to be critical of our President. Although I am deeply disappointed in the stimulus bill which was disappointing to many Americans disappointed at losing their jobs in this disappointing time, IMAO should be disappointed in itself for disappointing it’s readers. I am therefore announcing a new Hip Hop initiative which I am certain will not disappoint a broad spectrum of young potential Republicans starting today…

  7. cactusod says:

This whole things has got me going ape. I wish they would quit monkeying around with our right to free speech. I think Obama is a real Cheet-a (Go Get Jane!) with regard to his sleight of hand legislation. The cost of the Porkulas Bill ain’t chimp change, folks.

Really, I’m beside myself, and just going banannas. I need to go out and throw myself around on the monkey-bars to work out all of this agression. The idea of all of these urban g(ue)orillas running around organizing our communities is depressing. Maybe I’ll just go out and by a Rhesus candy bar to cheer myself up.

Thanks for listening. Sincerely, the Ghost of Jane Goodman

I looked through a few of the comments over at hufpo (I know, what was I thinking), and I while I was fully expecting a bunch of deranged idiots, I figured there would be a few people who hadn’t lost touch with reality. Like, just one in say 5 or 10 comments, saying, “hey, we compared Bush to a monkey for the past 8 years – besides, his ears stick out; it’s not racists, it’s just mean.’ But no, they’re all calling for the beheading of the cartoonist for being a racist prick and saying he must have got his marching orders from Rush Limbaugh. People that dumb should not be allowed to live in our country.

  9. Harvey says:

    *sigh*

I remember back when “monkey” used to just be an inherently funny word, like “duck” or “pants” or “kookamunga”. Now it’s just another racist code word.

  10. Gabe says:

While the axiom that an infinite number of monkeys with an infinite number of typewriters will never produce War & Peace, this cartoon gives credence to the notion that one monkey can produce a thousand pages of crap in a short amount of time.

  11. Jimmy says:

Pages? Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid ARE crap, #10.

I call for the last two states to vote for the Constitutional Convention and the first order of business is:

    SHUT. THE. CONGRESS. DOWN. NOW.

  12. zzyzx says:

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen posts on various left wing blogs like Slate Magazine for example, referring to former Pres Bush as “a chimp” or “The Chimp.” Or seen political cartoons, some even in my local paper, in which he was drawn to resemble a monkey or with chimp like features. I didn’t hear much complaining about that situation……so what’s the big deal now??

  13. Plentyobailouts says:

So why is the monkey a racist, but no one calls it a racist? Is it because al thinks that only crakahs can be racist? Is it because monkeys are inherently dumber than humans and therefore don’t know they are racists? Or is it because that one’s loyalty resides more with effrica than with the United States?
Really when you think about it, a really racist monkey did author the swindleus bill. peabrainlousy is the dumbest of creatures and definately a racist.

  14. MattB says:

It’s cause you can’t criticize Democrats. Ya’ll should know this by now.

Democrat Logic: “You lost your voice on November 4th. The first amendment? …No. Not yours!”

  15. AlanABQ says:

The cartoon wasn’t racist. If anything, it’s sexist, as Nancy Peloser authored most it, not that chumpanzee in the White House. Then again, Nancy’s not much of a woman. Hairy Reed, on the other hand…

  16. Idaho Spud says:

How could anyone with an ounce of decency take this moment to mock, impune and disgrace the living memory and legacy of a poor chimpanzee. He provided the world and anyone who knew him with countless hours of entertaining antics, companionship, and throwing poop. He had one bad day and for that he was gunned down like an animal.

The insult to this life is to have compared, implied or inferred to him as Travis Soetoro Whoops!– I mean Barry Soetoro. Every last one of you should be ashamed. This was a GOOD monkey!

  17. cactusod says:

Idaho….repeat after me. The only good monkey is a dead monkey.

  18. Plentyobailouts says:

#15 Idaho, you only say that cause he wasn’t trying to get your gun. Remebr rule 8 ?

Not matter how responsible you think he is, never give your gun to a monkey.

  19. AlanABQ says:

    Let’s see…

It’s racist to even suggest that the guy some call president a chimp.

OK, fine. How about we clear it up & say that he’s more like a bonobo.

    Barack BonObama… I like it!

  20. Master Shake says:

SIDE NOTE: Rev. Sharpton doesn’t know the difference between “infer” and “imply”.

Not surprising, since he also doesn’t know the difference between his ass and a hole in the ground.

In order to avoid insulting poor, defenceless chimps, bacteria, piles of runny excrement, etc., scum like Sharpton and Obamuhhh should only be compared to each other.

For example, “That Al Sharpton lies so much you’d think he was an Obamuhhh” or “That Obamuhhh is more corrupt than a Sharpton”.

  21. penitentman says:

Are we now going for six degrees of racism? Where any post, cartoon or comment can be linked to racism within six moves?
Maybe it is like this: the cops shot the rabid monkey and make a comment about the ‘stimulus bill’, the ‘stimulus bill’ was written by Congress, Congress is mostly white, therefore, Congress is racist.
Kevin Bacon will be sooo disappointed.
But on the bright side, we have a fun new game to play.

Breaking News ISP. A link is being reported following the fateful shooting of Travis Soetoro, a celebrity monkey in Connecticut. Investigators have released information that Travis, a celebrity and national spokesape had just completed training as a community organizer and was beginnig his first forays into the local neighborhoods.

Apparently, Travis was locked in disagreement with the nataional association over a local chapter name. He is said to have resented the name “Acorn” and felt that his community would be better served if his oranizing efforts were under the banner of “Bananas”. He claimed that paybacks and payoffs would be better understood and citizens would relate to a term that reminded them of home, such as “Banana Republic”, and the name Acorn did not have the same, clear meaning.

Police are looking at signs that this may have been a “Chicago” style hit over the disagreement and using government officials to commit the act would throw off any suspicion to the Acorn organization

An Acorn spokesperson when asked about this troubling link, on the condition of anonymity responded by saying, “Oh Nuts”!

  25. Mgbfred says:

Any body heard of The Obama’s new concept “R.A.T. Board”?
It’s in the “stimulus package” ,and you’re not going to like it! It’s LAW now, just waiting to be implemented.
    Aptly named though

  26. Barak Obammie says:

This is nothing to go a pesht over.

    “A pesht”??

Is that some kinda Yiddish thing?

Maybe I’ll just send Hillary over to Palestinia to find out.

Y’know…Michelle and I went out to a secret performance of The Planet of The Apes (The Musical) at the Kennedy Center the other night and I tell ya, there wasn’t one of those folks singin’ and dancin’ onstage that looked ANYTHING like mah family.

(But the fella playin’ Dr. Zaius DID look a bit like mah mother-in-law)

  27. PammyV says:

Any body heard of The Obama’s new concept “R.A.T. Board”?

Read about it this morning. Deeply disturbing. Seems to me there’s got to be some legal rangling that can be done about some of the stuff int eh stimulus bill. IT also seems to me that some of these things may be unconstitutional. Aren’t there any conservative lawyers aout there???

  28. AlanABQ says:

“Aren’t there any conservative lawyers out there???”

There are, but they’re on the endangered list. In about another 2 years, we’ll be down to the last two or three.

You know, there are plenty of white guys that are more monkey-looking then the asshat in chief. Don’t believe me? Put Al Franken and the thief in the white house next to each other, and answer that question again. And another thing, monkeys are too smart to get their heads stuck in a bucket. Can we get a monkey in the oval office instead of the Marxist wanker?

#9 – I still think the term “monkey” is quite funny, and use it to describe all sorts of ridiculous behavior (including my own). The politically correct morons can kiss my butt if they don’t like it. All things PC are inherently evil. PC things may not seem evil on first inspection, but I guarantee they are evil at the core.

    #20 – Thanks. I needed a good laugh.

  31. Wacky Hermit says:

Can we still make dirty jokes about “Obama’s enormous stimulus package” that included millions of dollars’ worth of contraceptives? Or are those racist too?
