You know sarah palin has no care for anyone else. Wolves werent put on earth to be killed. And how would she like it if we all turned on her and started shooting at her?! Also WE are the ones who took over the wolves habitat so, why should they be banished from their own home? Elk and Moose are shot by us, what does it make a difference if the wolves are eating them and using almost every part of the moose and not letting it go to waste like we do. Elk and Moose can repopulate fast. Also if you are having trouble with livestock by a wolf killing them. DON’T Shoot it you idiots. Call the widelife foundation or the something like that, to come get the troubling wolves and reloacte them somewhere new. Also Like myself, I am a wolf lover. There are many wolf lovers out there. And do you think we are going to put up with this? No we aren’t. The way Sarah is shooting these wolves is slaughter. Becasue she shoots them from a helicopter or plane, lets them suffer, and then gets someone to get. So that i believe is slaughter. What did wolves ever do to you? I will fight this issue along with many of my friends to stop this. If the wolves go down we go down.

Hey Art,

I have been hunting in California since the fifties, deer, wild boar and game birds. I think hunting is a great sport and wish more fathers were taking their kids hunting as it seems to be in decline. I see no good data that the wolf population needs culling. In California we have to cull the deer herds because there are no real predators left but a few mountain lions. Wolves help keep the herds healthy by killing the sick and weak and seldom take down strong members of the herd.
My view is that anyone that would shoot a wolf from a plane or helicopter is probably a back shooter or coward but certainly not a sportsman. It is funny to read the comments from some of these keyboard tough guys about shooting democrats. Most of my moderate and liberal friends are better shots and in better shape than my conservative friends. The issue is about killing wolves and my view is that it does no good.

Hey JohnRJob – Ever been in the woods? Ever been tracked by a carnivore? Ever seen a carnivore take down prey? Ever get out from your computer room? I read your words that you are from a family of “hunters”. Hunters of what? A good deal at the mall? If you were any representation from any class of “hunters”, especially in any of the large wildlife management areas, you would recognize the value of carnivores and understand their exact number balance needed to manage a wildlife herd. By the way, being a sport “hunter” is definately different from a food hunter. Likewise, being an aerial sport hunter in a state for the purpose of wildlife management is different from being an aerial “sport” hunter for ivory and big game. Since you refer to Alaska as “up there” that lends credence to the suspicion that your “hunter family” that you are from would probably eat very well if they didn’t make a kill today. It also begs the question: how many “trophies” are on YOUR “family sportsmens hunters” walls?

Actually, Palin shoots them from a helicopter which hovers over the wolf while she shoots until she hits something. Great sport, huh. The wolf is running from the sound of the helicopter and, if it’s only wounded, it has to lay there and suffer until Palin or someone she has hired finally gets to it to deliver the coup de gras. I was raised in a family of hunters. This is not hunting. It’s slaughter masquerading as sport. And only the “experts” hired and appointed by Palin think it’s good science to cull the wolves and protect moose and caribou in this way. What she’s done is create her own little banana republic up there in the great state of Alaska, acting as though she’s more of an empress than governor of a state with only 700,000 residents. Hail Freedonia!
