Self-linkage is awesome

Get your 1-starring fingers ready! I blogged Idol at Snark Raving Mad last night. Go read it and then tell me if you agree that Kara’s the worst thing that ever happened to American Idol. Possibly the worst thing to ever exist.

Honestly, I can’t remember the last I watched that show.

Is that Indian guy with the big hair still on?

  2. Plentyobailouts says:

Its a real shame that more people care more about some lousy singer, than the fact we have a classless disgrace in the White House.

  3. DamnCat says:

I’ve never seen Kara but I have seen American Idol.

The worst I can say about her is that she appears on the worst thing to ever exist on TV.

  4. Corona says:

I can’t stand Idol or Dance or 4 Years Tap, 3 Years Modern or any other claptrap on TV.
So you may not want to read this reply. Just sayin.

  5. sarahk says:

Corona, I’m not opposed to reading your reply. Just don’t see why you wasted your time.

Plentyo, yes, you got me. Because I have hobbies and interests and don’t spend 100% of my time on politics, I obviously don’t care. Well said.

DamnCat, that’s why I watch it. So you don’t have to!

Marco, haha. No, and this year’s Indian guy with the unfortunate sometimes-mustache is no longer on either.

I don’t normally watch Idol, but now you’re making me curious. It’s kinda like being on a hike and catching whiff of some really bad smell. A smart person keeps on going. A less smart one says “What is that? Gack!” and looks for the source, which is usually a bloated carcass down by the creek. Guess which one am I?

With all that said, there’s now no way for me to go about my day without figuring out what everybody’s talking about. Now I just have to click over to SRM to see if there’s a vid or something that’ll put my curiosity to rest.

  7. DamnCat says:

sarahk – I am sincerely grateful and eternally indebted.

  8. MarkoMancuso says:

No, innominatus, no! Don’t fall for the trap! It’s not worth it, there’s apparently not even a funny Indian guy this year!

  9. Live Free Or Die says:

What that site needs is a chick modeling IMAO t-shirts, while brandishing a gun.

  10. BillyRayBob says:

I saw where the indian guy with the big hair is now going to be on a NEW show where they dump ‘celebrities’ in the jungle somewhere. WTF?

  11. Son of Bob says:

Interesting that each year we get new surprisingly good singers from “Britain’s Got Talent” and another room full of mediocre wanna-be’s from “American Idol”. England’s about the size of New Jersey, and not known for being a magnet for talented hopefuls, yet here in America when the same people hold auditions for hundreds of thousands of people they manage to “weed out” anyone who might actually be amazing and present yet another group of very average singers who look strikingly similar to a cast from “MTV’s Real World” each season.

  12. IH8Socialist says:

American Idol wasn’t that what was going on in Nov. around say election Day…..

  13. Corona says:

SarahK, I’m as interested reading your blog as I am reading Franks’. And that’s a positive point.
But really, 4 years Tap, 3 Years Modern, comon’. I’m no dancing fool.
