The Only Thing Inexpensive About Obama

Posted by Frank J. on June 23, 2009 at 2:08 pm

John Hawkins has found that there are some great deals now on Obama collector’s plates. They’re getting so inexpensive that soon it will be cheaper to buy them than regular plates. Think of it: You could microwave a burrito on Obama. It would be the first useful thing he’s ever done.

Can’t wait ’til the Secret Service busts the first Greek wedding…

  2. cjtony97 says:

The plates need a bailout, stat! Call the commemorative plate czar!

  3. Son of Bob says:

The term “collector’s” implies that the value is expected to rise. With that in mind, I find humor in the fact that those mind-numb voters who worshipped at the feet of “The One” to the point of buying “collector’s” plates bearing his image have now lost their money and are left with a worthless, ugly plate.

  4. Jeff says:

Is it just plates or are there other porcelain collectors Items available? Perhaps some sort of throne.

  5. MarkoMancuso says:

But He Who Commands The Sea Unicorn Army Of Changeland isn’t responsible for the plates, Frank. He Who Commands The Sea Unicorn Eath Of Changeland was merely used for – SHUDDER – profits by – SHUDDER – cap, cap, capitalists!

  6. Raving Lunatic says:

Cool! At this rate, by the end of summer I’ll be able to buy bulk quantities to use as skeet!

  7. DamnCat says:

    cjtony97 – good one!

  8. Raving Lunatic says:

Jeff, there is a commemorative Messianic Throne, but when you use it, the only thing flushed away is your wallet.

  9. IHSocialist says:

I hear that the super cheap collector plates make great replacement skeet for skeet shooting. I wouldn’t know personally because I’d never buy a collector plate.

  10. Jimmy says:

Kind of like the “Obama commemorative coins?” Yeah, a piece of painted, embossed tinfoil over a 50 cent pieces:

    Bwahahahahaha!

  11. Chris in Texas says:

If they get a little cheaper, I’m going to buy at least two. I have some liberal friends whom I would love to see my dogs eating from a B H O plate.

  12. MarkoMancuso says:

Thanks for the link, Jimmy. Obama: the cheap piece of crap administration. I like it.

  13. ussjimmycarter says:

Jimmy! You mean my Obama coins are…worthless!!! How can this be! I was told they were an exciting offer of Change and Hope and were a “collectors item” to be “cherished by my family for years to come”…

Sarcasm now off! I can’t believe the rubes who went out and bought this crap and now want their money back! You buy junk, you keep junk, it’s that simple moron!

  14. ussjimmycarter says:

Someone needs to come out with a commemorative Obama Waffle Iron! BWAAAAA! I’d pay money for that!

  15. Jimmy says:

Yes, ussjc. Your coins are worthless. So are your Obama coins! And I’d pay your real Obama coins for a talking Obama bobblehead. Yes I would.

Marko, “Obama: the cheap piece of crap administration.” LOL

    O-ZONE

The coins with the sticker were even better. The dumbing down of America is complete and irreversible :[
    Welcome to the 3rd world.

  17. IH8Socialist says:

anything with dear leaders face on it is worthless. How bout some commemorative Obama TP……you can wipe you a$$ with an a$$wipe now thats priceless

  18. NO_MO_BAMA says:

things like this always go up in value after someone dies…….hmmmmmm
If someone was dumb enough to buy it maybe they’d…..
    hey, I can dream can’t I?

  19. Eros says:

#17…by the late 1970′s, we had Jimmy Carter and Iatolah Kohmani toilet paper…the rebirth with “That One” should be just a matter of a few more months. Hmmmnn…I wonder if it will be printed on “ecologically sound, rapid dissolving, recycled paper”? And would wiping yourself with Obama’s picture be considered racist (not that I care; we’re all considered racists for not voting for him).

  20. Terry_Jim says:

“$19.95 – Strict limit of two per order”

Spending $39.90 on something worth $4 is a perfect symbol of this presidency.

  21. 4 of 7 says:

What’s the going price for commemorative “I voted for John McCain” beer glasses?

  22. NunyaB says:

Just don’t put the Obama plates in the dishwasher or the fingerpaint will come off.

  23. marvin says:

OK, we all wait until these plates hit a dollar, then we buy in bulk, and have a plate smashing protest on the national mall.

  24. cjtony97 says:

marvin – I like it! Or we could get all “artsy” and have 300 people urinate on them at once so we can get some grant money.

  25. Live Free Or Die says:

The prices are almost low enough for Relief Agencies to buy them, and send them to, say, Sudan refugees, or, if it gets worse over there, Somalian refugees. You know, send some of O-bah-muhh’s HOPE and CHANGE abroad.

  26. Live Free Or Die says:

Or perhaps they will be snapped up by innovative Carnival-Midway-Games-Riggers. Whoever’s quarters tossed on to the O-bah-muhh Plate wins..An O-bah-muhh Plate! Brilliant!

  27. Socrates H. Obummer says:

    Americans are obviously racist.

  28. Captain Obvious says:

Are you kidding? These damn things are never microwave safe.

  29. Tommy the Towelhead says:

Obama toilet paper wouldn’t work. You would never be able to tell when you’re done wiping.

  30. Mike says:

    Ignorant idiots.
