I Can’t Imagine Specter Doing ANYTHING Very Fast

In this video (around 1:27, but watch it all to enjoy Sebelius getting booed), Senator Specter talks about how, with a large bill, he’ll split it into sections, give it to his staff, and let them tell him what’s in it.

Not acceptable, Senator Specter.

Read it. Read it all. It’s your job.

Read the full bill.

Or, as your constituents will soon be telling you in every letter, phone call, and e-mail…

RTFB

I’m pretty sure the “F” stands for “full”. I’ll have my staff look into it and report back to me.

After they finish spray-painting it on your car.

Ya know, the way Specter and Sebelius tap dance around every question, it kind of reminds me of Fred Astair and Ginger Rogers….

How about the way he made the RNC regret supporting him – he did that pretty quick.

I don’t know, we”re paying these people how much again? And their job is? Mayhaps if they start voting down all bills too large and complicated to be read in one sitting we’d get rid of 98 % of the waste, pork and influence peddling going on in DC (District of Corruption).

How about a bill that demands that all bills be in Manga form? That way there’d be pictures to help out the literary impaired like Mr. Conyers, Specter, and her royal spendyness Queen Katherine Spendalotus.

Think of all the graphic artist they’d put to work. I call this a win-win situation.

More and more, the congress acts like a bunch of car salesman. Oh, wait a minute, they own a couple car companies don’t they?

Maybe they need to only write as many bills each as they read and debate fully with time for public comment. Oh, and hearings! Remember when they used to hold those?

  5. IH8Socialist says:

How can you expect old Arlen to read the bill, he’s illiterate like the rest of congress.

  6. NunyaB says:

Any bill that does not fit on only one side of a single sheet of paper, double-spaced, 12 point font, and written in layman’s speak so that a 5th grader can understand – should be vetoed.

I’m pretty sure the F stands for ‘friendly’,
you know, like when you are having computer trouble
like the cupholder breaks, or you can’t find the “any” key,
    and the IT guy growls”RTFM”
which means “read the friendly manual”.

  8. Harvey says:

Just like “WTF?” stands for “What’s This For?”

Another teachable moment. According to the government press:

Disruptive people at a Republican town hall = Patriotic Americans exercising their right to free speech

Distruptive people at a Democrat town hall = Angry mob organized by right wing special interest groups

  10. Tim says:

Wow.. I thought the mob was about to haul Spector outside and lynch him. (wait, is it racist now to use that term? Probably not since Spector is as cracker as they come…)

No big loss if they had. He is nothing but a dithering opportunist who is hell-bent on destroying all that has made this country great in effort to further his own personal ambition.

… but I have no real opinion on the man… ;)

Through either dishonesty or disbelief the libtards just can’t accept the growing publui\c anger over their retard libtard policy.

I won’t be telling Specter a damn thing. Those days are over. I will joyfully rush to the polls next November to eagerly vote against that piece of garbage. Then I will go home and hang out my effigy of Rendell.

  13. midwestconservative says:

with crowds like that Specter will be a republican tomorrow

    @6 Nunya

Probably not a bad idea. Also, Congress should not be able to exempt itself from its own laws. Perhaps it is time for some more constitutional amendments.

  15. Harvey says:

Funny, but I could have SWORN that “Congress will not exempt itself from legislation” was one of the cornerstones of 1994′s Contract With America.

    Wonder what happened…

Where can I get a t-shirt or bumpersticker that says, “Proud member of the Angry Mob”?
