This is stupid and I’m tired, so I’m not gonna comment.

I (call me crazy) always questioned the premise of a 110%. I mean philosphically speaking can anything ever be more that a 100%? I mean if it reached 110% wouldnt that then become the new 100%……
We should ask Stephen Hawking’s…. I heard he’s a pretty smart guy…

I gave 110% percent on a statistics test once.
I got a “D”.

It’s a plot. They ask you to give just a little bit more one day, and then when they know that’s possible they raise the work quota.

I attempted to question the premise of 110%, but I became sleepy and gave up.

I predict “Always give 110%” will soon be the new IRS motto.

Wait, isn’t Frank supposed to be on vacation? Talk about giving 110%! Wow! if even one liberal would work 1% as hard, they may not be so sleepy or stupid. Well maybe not sleepy.

Why don’t you just make 100% greater and make 100% be the top number and make that a little greater?
September 3rd, 2009 at 4:34 pm
I always gave 110%. Except when the odds went to 7:3 then I cut back to 90%

In my band, when we jam, we are able to play the volume at 11. It’s 10% louder than all other groups. Is there a tax on volume yet? Kinda like Cap ‘n Trading 8s?

You slackers!
I always give 115%!

How can we not give 110% when we have so many democrats and illegal aliens depending on us (the money stolen out of our paychecks)?
September 3rd, 2009 at 7:38 pm
I’m not gonna just give you 110%. You gotta EARN it!

Back in the day when I was in the USAF as a tech school student we marched to school Monday thru Friday. Once a week on our march to school we were graded on our marching ability by a group of officers. These men sat on a set of bleachers especially constructed for this purpose and as we passed by they graded and evaluated us. To this day I have no idea what their criteria was in reaching their conclusions and evaluations but I do know that we never came in first….never. We usually came in fourth or fifth out of about twelve school squadrons being judged on the day of evaluation. As I said this evaluation took place once a week and each day after the evaluations were announced our deputy squadron commander, a classic dip stick second lieutenant, would form us up at ridged attention in the hot Texas sun and proceed to shout, yell, and harangue us for a good fifteen or twenty minutes about our inability to be the number one marching squadron. He would try to inspire us by telling us how ashamed he was to be associated with people who couldn’t do any better at marching then us and in his squeaky second lieutenant voice he would explain to us that if we just gave 110% we too could be number one! Of course none of us gave a rat’s ass about being number one as we figured that only one squadron could be number one and therefore the odds were against us, and anyway what the f**k was wrong with being number four or five ….at least we weren’t last! Anyway, to this day I have always distrusted people who tell me I should give 110%.

zzyzx, when were you in and where did you do tech school?
September 3rd, 2009 at 9:29 pm
I’ll give 10% if someone will go the other 100%

cjtony97….I was in the USAF from 1963 to 1983. The time I spoke of was in 1963 at Amarillo AFB TX. By the way Amarillo was the only place in my 20 years in the USAF where you could stand in mud up to your knees….and still have dust blow in your face, ever been there?

God only asks for 10%. No way the Govt needs more than that.

If at first you don’t succeed – try, try again.
Then stop and read the instructions.

zzyzx – I was in from 1993 to 2006, never been to Amarillo. San Antonio (of course), Biloxi for training then Yokota, Offutt, Scott and Ft Meade. Good times, good friends. : )

Ah yes Scott AFB…I hoisted a beer or two at the VFW just out of the back gate when I was there in 78-79 and 80.

TN…but, these go to 110.

At work I’ve been counseled for not being a “Team Player” so I decided to drop back my effort to 80 percent so two others on my “team” could give 110.
