You shouldn’t be allowed to have “and” in your country name. Trinidad & Tobago sounds more like a buddy cop film than a nation.

I question the use of the words “United” and “States” in a country’s name as well. The words imply that we are still united together today with our sovereignty intact. We should rename ourselves to “Big Gubmint of Murica.”

Also countries should not be named after college frat boys. I mean who in their right mind names their country Chad? Are you telling me that the greatest minds in that country got together and named their country Chad? What was the second choice? Brad? Zack? More reasons why we need to get things more organized globally.

Don’t forget the longest name for the smallest state also has an “and” in it:
“The State of Providence Plantations and Rhode Island” (that’s a mouthfull)

“Trinidad or Tobago”
“The United Kingdom of Great Britain or Northern Ireland”
