Buyer’s Remorse

Actual billboard on I-70 in Blue Springs, MO.

I think it’s especially poignant given Friday’s Olympic bitch-slap.

In an odd sorta way, Harvey, the motto “Live Free Or Die” could apply to our much-needed health care reform.

Like get rid of ALL government health care – or go die!

  2. Choey says:

I’d sure like to see more signs like tat, especially one targeting senators and representatives who supported Taxman-Malarky or Obamacare. Anyone know what a billboard costs?

  3. RightWingKiller says:

Obama’s poliies are clearly hard Socialist at best and true Communist at worst.
No one seema interested in the birth certificate issue, which for all the speculation I do not see much merit it. Someone would have spilled it by now.
We need to keep exposing and hammering his long list of Commie cronies.

I like the sign. I like Missouri, too. I’ve flown over it several times. The people were always nice when I did. However, as the duly elected King of NH, I must demand the royalties of my state motto. Oh, I can’t be bothered on a Saturday night. Consider it a gift. And keep up the good work.

    RWK has the coolest avatar.

Every license plate in NH says “Live Free Or Die” but probably not for long. They’re oxymorons and of COURSE someone found it O F F E N N N S I V E:
In 1971, the state legislature of New Hampshire, mandated that the phrase appear on all non-commercial license plates, replacing “Scenic.”

In 1977, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in the case of Wooley v. Maynard, 430 U.S. 705, that New Hampshire could not prosecute motorists who
chose to hide part or all of the motto.
That ruling came about because George Maynard, a Jehovah’s Witness, cut off “or die” from his plate.
He found the phrase offensive because according to his faith, Jehovah’s Kingdom offers everlasting life and it would be contrary to that belief to
die for an earthly government. He was convicted of breaking a state law against altering license plates.

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled 6–3 in his favor, saying the law required people to “use their private property as a ‘mobile billboard’ for the State’s
ideological message,” and that the state’s interest did not outweigh free speech principles. “We conclude that the State of New Hampshire may not
require appellees to display the state motto upon their vehicle license plates.

Well, this one isn’t mobile so I guess they can’t say shit :D

You people are all racists! You just ain’t down with Obama cause he’s a nigga. If you look past that he’s black you’d see he’s just like Lincoln! ONLY HES COMMUNIST AND NOTHING LIKE LINCOLN! The fact that he’s black only puts icing on the cake. Makes him cool as S#!T

  7. Sraviik says:

his being “black” does not have anything to do with it chuckles. if he where 100% white, blond haired, and blue eyed i would still hate him and everything he stands for.

The reality of the situation is this, you and the people like you who play the race card every time someone says something negative about Obama or anything related to his presidency are probably racist against anyone without a chocolate skin tone.

which brings up another point. Obama is not Black he’s brown, and thats a chocolate milk brown, not tree bark, or dark chocolate brown.

  8. Chuckles says:

“ONLY HES COMMUNIST AND NOTHING LIKE LINCOLN!”

Should have given something away. The billboard should also address that our 13th amendment right are also at steak(to be eaten) (not stake). Controlling what you think and say=controlling what you do. Its a long shot but so is calling all conservatives racists. Who cares what color Obama is? I hate all communists.

  9. Chuckles says:

Why does the pics of the chi town hoodlums bring more comments? (other than they look like elves?)

  10. Harvey says:

#6 – I’ve already said that the real reason I won’t vote for Obama is that he’s not black enough:

#8 – Probably because the Chicago 6 are practically a caption contest, and with the billboard, all you can do is nod your head in agreement.

  11. Crusty says:

I can’t believe the IOC wasn’t taken in by Michelle Obama’s speech, she’s such a charmer.

  12. marvin says:

#10 not only charming, but soo sexy, in a hairy bigfootish sort of way

  13. Deesh says:

I love this, I work about 10 miles from this billboard. May have to go pay homage to it during my lunch break today.
