Jesse Sharpton
So Contessa Brewer mistakes Jesse Jackson for Al Sharpton:
Now, I called up MSNBC for an explanation, and they told me their official position is that all black people look alike. They’ve taken some steps to prevent problems, though. Like often you’d hear in the MSNBC studios something like, “Why is President Obama getting us all sandwiches?” And someone else would say, “No, that’s our intern Paul.” So now MSNBC requires every black person in their studios to wear a button saying, “Not Obama” (unless he is Obama, of course).
Still, I can see people getting Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton confused; they are kind of redundant. They’re both racial demagogues who like to stir up situations to get on TV, both quite inexplicably get treated like they’re each the king of black people instead of shunned like they scumbags they are, and both for unexplained reasons want to be called by the title “Reverend”. So, really, the best way to tell them apart is to remember that Al Sharpton is the fat one.
That’s my free tip for MSNBC.

I have to admit, I occasionally mistake Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton for civil rights leaders who genuinely want to end real racism against all races and ethnic groups, not just their own. When that happens, I do what any decent person would do–leave the bar.

“the best way to tell them apart is to remember that Al Sharpton is the fat one.”
OK, but I’ve only had a problem telling Sharpton & Rangel apart.

Jackson is the one with MLK’s blood smeared he smeared on his shirt after the shooting; Sharpton ahs ashes from Freddie’s Fashion Mart. See, easy to tell them apart.

Where ever it’s possible to stir the pot of racial strife, you may be sure Al will be there. If there’s a chance to cry racial prejudice Al will be there. If there’s a possibility of making a profit from a situation others would attempt to heal, you can bet your ass he’ll be there! No he can’t walk on water, but he does have the ability to materialize out of thin air, large spoon in hand, to stir the pot for publicity and profit. Thus, like the silent fart that clears a room, he is held in so much awe he is known as….Reverend Al.

Wow, I can sure see why they’re the source for accuracy in news reporting that’s pimped by the White House.
But, it’s not really her fault. She most likely caught a glimpse of an upcoming story about Obama and was experiencing an orgasm while she was introducing her guest. That can be so distracting.

As a Fat American, I’m offended by being compared to and lumped in with the likes of Al Sharpton!
October 22nd, 2009 at 4:46 pm
This is so awesome. I’m sure in a few days Al an Jesse will be boycotting MSNBC and screaming that Contessa Brewer is a racist and should be fired.
October 22nd, 2009 at 4:48 pm
Maybe Obama can have beer summit with Contessa and Jesse.
October 22nd, 2009 at 4:57 pm

Kinda funny how we haven’t heard much of ol’ Jesse after that mic on comment about castrating Obama during campaign season. Jeez Jesse, you been outta the limelight for so long you were mistaken for some other sh!t stirrer fake Rev.

Jesse Jackson was the one who ran for president thinking it didn’t matter what an idiot he was, everyone would vote for him for fear of being called raaaaaaaaaaaaacist…oh wait no..that was Al Sharpton…oh wait…that was Obama.
He didn’t look too happy about being called Al Sharpton, was it because he’s tired of the competition or because he agrees with everyone that Al Sharpton is a piece of sh1t? (too)

Racial demagogues? No, they are tan-skinned Klansmen. Filthy bigots whose entire outlook is based on a deep hatred of white colored people.
May they rot in hell.

They had their “all blacks look alike” moment with the words “Inequality for All” plastered across the screen. Epic.

I really like the way Jackson tells her that he is “The Reverend Jesse Jackson” like “The Reverend” is part of his name.
Does he insist that his kids address him as “The Reverend” Dad?
