Wait! Is there any such thing as an uninsured veteran? I thought one of the perks (if you can call government medicine a perk) was access to VHA coverage.

True, S., but also true is the fact that I once read about a lawsuit in which a vet got a judge to award him the right not to have to use the VA for life.

According to a post at RWN, HuffPo loses about one million dollars a month. Their typical Leftist business model insures this drivel will have to find a new home sooner or later. Drivel may be too kind a description, but so is turd pit.

The study’s authors warn that the health care legislation “would do virtually nothing for the ~~uninsured~~ illegal immigrants until 2013″ and would “leave ~~at least 17 million~~ just as many uninsured over the long run when reform kicks in,” leaving many ~~veterans~~ actual Americans still without care.

Nice of them to throw that in at the very end. Funny how it doesn’t bother them a bit that so many veterans don’t have “free” insurance while millions of welfare leaches DO.

S. Weasel – common misconception. Free medical is a perk for those with service-related injuries and those who stay in long enough to retire.

I spent several years after I got out as an uninsured vet. Mostly because I was young & healthy & insurance premiums would’ve been a huge waste of money.

Vets with no insurance can be treated at a VA hospital. So those vets died from government run health-care

Wha?! The article says nothing about the VA healthcare they get, but it seems pretty for the vets that get care through the VA… But that’s a government system… But ObamaCare would create a government system… MY GOD! THE HUFFINGTON POST HAS COME OUT AGAINST GOVERNMENT HEALTHCARE!!!! OH TEH NOES!!!!
