“Saving Jobs” Explained
Boston Globe – “more than two-thirds of 14,506 jobs credited to the recovery act by Head Start programs involved pay increases.”
See, if they hadn’t given their employees pay raises, they would have had to fire them.

If they are just going make stuff up, I would have said that everybody still working that didn’t get a raise was a saved job. It’s a bigger number and it makes just as much sense.

These are the same bastards that want to take over health care. Liars, thieves, scumbags.
in other words DOUCHE bags. democrats are simply lying douche bags. No ifs, ands, or buts. Everyone of them is a lying douche bag.
IMPEACH that commie scum filled douche bag now before he really does something stupid.
On a lighter note, I see lindsey graham is showing his scozzafaceia. Douche.

Maybe that had to hire someone to edit all those checks, that’s a big job (and already big checks I’m sure).
Head Start is just a big government
programscam anyway, when they hires hacks to the tune of $6,888,363,725 to: “provide comprehensive child development services to economically disadvantaged children and families, with a special focus on helping preschoolers develop the early reading and math skills they need to be successful in school.” it’s $6,888,363,725 too much.Seeing as these
economically disadvantaged ‘parent(s)’welfare mothers sit around all day doing nothing, how about THEY teach theirchildrenwelfare tickets the reading and math skills they need to be successful in school? Surely the Head Start people taught THEM all this stuff back 10 years ago when they were in preschool…right?November 5th, 2009 at 12:59 pm
it gets better
If only they’d given them a 100 percent raise it would have saved a 50800 jobs.

I wonder if people getting pay cuts counts the same way…hmmmmm,

So, they “saved” 900 fake jobs and lost 500000 real jobs, and this is working?!
Boy am I glad he didn’t fail.

Wow, then I’ve had way more jobs in my life than I realized.

saveacountry,
“Maybe they forgot to carry the 1.”
HAH! Good wit! That’s always a good excuse for Obama!

I think the logic goes, “If they hadn’t gotten raises, the employees would’ve gotten mad and quit. Raise=job saved!”

Myrtis Mulkey-Ndawula??? Can we say affirmative action? She looks like Louise Jefferson.
If the head of this wonderful “program” has that sort of math…skill, imagine what they’re teaching the future criminals/welfare mothers for $6,888,363,725 a year. 500 “jobs” per state, that’s 25,400 hacks or $271,195 per job.
More than 250 other community agencies receiving stimulus cash from the HHS Administration for Children and Families….How does the government increasing the amount it spends on welfare agencies ’stimulate’ anything? Oh wait…aren’t union dues a percentage of your already too high wages? Now I get it.

cjtony97 – Well, most people WOULD rather make $0 than to not get a raise. Especially in the middle of the worst unemployment in the last 3 decades
TOTALLY a saved job!

SpaceMonkey alluded to this, but the question is such. Did they get a 1.84% raise? Or did they get an 84% raise? Because either way, they’re stupid. If it was only a 1.84% raise, then they’re stupid for counting that as a 1.84 multiplier. If it was an 84% raise…why the f’ are they getting an 84% raise? Seriously?
And I got a 0% raise this year. I imagine many others did too. Therefore my job was really lost, right?

So the stimulus act gets credit for “creating or saving” jobs because the employees got (slightly lower than) a cost-of-living allowance?

Slightly off topic, but is anyone else offended by a program that gives some kids a headstart? Why can’t they line up on the starting line like everyone else?
