Reverse Psychology

Have the Republicans tried reverse psychology to get more supporters for freedom. They could be like, “Democrats are right, freedom is too scary and too much for the American people. We need to face reality and get rid of these freedoms.”

And everyone will be like, “Uh-uh! I can handle freedom.”

And the Republicans will be like, “Nah. We don’t want to burden you with that. Let’s just do what the Democrats say.”

And everyone will be like, “No! Never do what Democrats say! Push them down wells!”

Just a strategy to think about come 2010. If that election year isn’t a slaughter of monumental proportions, then I’m labeling the Republicans a failure.

My minor is in Psychology with an emphasis in Reverse Psychology. Therefore, I will never, ever offer my assistance to make this a go.

Only in a free society* can “the bad drive out the good.”

    *Or partially free

The question remains, where do the good go in a country without freedom?

I like the “push them down wells” part for the Dems – and I’m feeling so charitable and so Christmassy, I won’t even insist on the “it puts the lotion on its skin, or else it gets the hose again” part that I love so much.

    …you mean a B+, right?

The republicans are already a failure. The proved that when they had the power and used it to gorge on pork.

Now they are proving themselves to be ineffective and spineless.

Just because the Dems suck does not mean that the republicans are going to be their opposite.

I do like the wells idea though, I’m just not convinced that we shouldn’t include the republicans too.

Perhaps the Republicans could just try a radical idea like educating people as to what conservatism is and why socialism is a bad thing. I know it’s a wacky thought, but perhaps if we removed McConnell and Boehner – the two most ineffective “leaders” in the history of the Republican party – we could actually begin to use things like “alternative media” to get the message out…oh yeah, and if they’d stop acting like it’s embarrassing to be a conservative that would go a long, long way.

In other words, while they’re busy putting down Sarah Palin, she’s showing the old fools in the current Republican party how it’s done.

Since we have such new and vibrant leadership in the Republican Party (Michael Steele, John McCain and Lindsay Grahm), what could possibly go wrong?

hey I’m all for the down the well thing for the Democrats.

Throw them all down a well. Then pray for rain. Then throw a bunch of lime in the well and cover it up.

Maybe we could convince the Obozo supports that they need to all go to gitmo. You know make up some lame excuesses it good for them, then when they get there leave the base and forget all about them. When Cuba calls and say hey we don’t like your hippies get’em outta hear, we’ll tell them it’s there problem now.

  11. DeckApe says:

Didn’t John McCain already try this?

  12. shiggz says:

    @deckape … oooohhhhh snap

However if Limbaugh and Hannity just started talking about how awesome socialism will be the liberal rank and file would dismantle by nightfall. They are motivated by a combination of fear, hate, and Utopian delusions. The Left-wing leaders know what they are really doing but they never tell their underlings. They just keep liberals on a short-leash of fear, hate, and Utopian delusions. Go on find a raging liberal that isn’t full of those 3 things.

Republicans leaders are idiots because they cant figure out how to turn liberal slaves against their masters.

I will be voting Libertarian in 2010. The Republicans long ago abandoned limited government ideals, and moron Bush then the geezer McCain both showed how lost the party has become. They are too close to Democrats to be of any value to the country.
