Heh. I’d read Cliff Stoll’s book Silicon Snake Oil — of which the Newsweek article was a summation — back when it was new. You read it after reading his book The Cuckoo’s Egg and you realize the man had been a visionary who got burnt out. Now that I think about it, kinda sad, really; I withdraw the “Heh.”
