Question of the Day

Posted by Frank J. on March 17, 2010 at 3:01 pm

Obama is in his final push (final for real this time; we swear!) for his health care bill. Which raises a good question: How much do we laugh at him if he fails?

I say we put aside a whole week to mock what a failure he is, going to any public even he’s at to point and laugh at him. He’ll eventually yell, “You guys are mean!” and run away crying to the White House and hide in there and refuse to come out. That will be a nice break for all involved.

Sounds a little cruel, but that’s how you play politics. How much do you plan to laugh at him?

run away crying to the White House

Assuming he doesn’t run into a window first…

Being a southern Lady, I plan to smirk inconspicuously behind my be-gloved hand before falling to my knees in a prayer of abject gratitude. Then, I may get drunk. Either way.

    Celebratory gunfire.

I reckon I’ll taunt my liberal co-workers, then I’ll cancel the colonoscopy I pre-emptively scheduled for 15 years from now.

Yvonne: “Will I see you tonight?
Rick: “I never make plans that far ahead.”

    However, I agree with innominatus.

It will never be over…unless, of course, they are able to ram this through, which can’t be allowed to happen. So, no matter what there will never be a time when democrats lose gracefully and move on…it will never end.

    Until the day I die.

  8. DamnCat says:

November will shut them up, Son of Bob. For a while anyway.

I’ll just read here and laugh for a week with you, Frank. Then I’ll go back to planning for game of the millennium: national bankruptcy (where I blow stuff up).

  10. Kyle says:

Obama is sounding more and more like Eric Cartman: “Make no mistake, America. Before this is all over, you will suck my balls.”

I don’t think we should laugh at him; we need to provide positive reinforcement. “Obamacare didn’t pass; you get a cookie.” If we laugh, he just might work harder to pass his next stupid idea. But if we give him cookies when his ideas fail, then he’ll be less motivated to fight and fight and fight the next time. “The time to talk is over; the time to eat cookies, however, is just beginning.” When a hamster touches the right button, he doesn’t know he’s doing a good thing; he just knows that he gets rewarded for doing it. So Obama might think he’s failing, something that will be reinforced if we laugh. So we need to give him treats when his bills don’t pass; reward the behavior you want, and punish the behavior you don’t.

I will be changing my pants repeatedly, because I’ll be laughing so hard I’ll pee my pants.

I think whenever Obama appears in public, people should wave enormous copies of the US Constitution in his face. Honestly, we’ve been enduring 8+ years of him and his partners-in-crime incessantly whining about this or that measure to produce more dead terrorists being ‘unconstitutional’. And to now see them try to get around the most obvious, most basic “Schoolhouse Rock” aspect of the document fills me with… well, the angry. And some German word.

I dunno how long I’ll celebrate, but I do know I’ll celebrate at the same time next year. Mebbe we should make it into a holiday — kind of a cross between the Fourth of July and St. Crispin’s Day.

I laugh at O’vomit every day, sometimes twice a day. Oh and any time I see his face with that snake-oil salesman smile. I must admit it’s a rueful laugh because some americans (small a) still support the most inept, incompetent, ignoramus we’ve ever had the misfortune to elect president.

Jimma’ Carter just LOVES this guy for taking him out of last place, as the worst president in the history of America (big A). The rest of us just roll our eyes and wait for November.

  16. Crusty says:

I’m going to hold up a sign implying that the current president, whose policies I disagree with, is similar in some respect to Hitler!

What? That’s been done already? Crap, gotta think of another idea.

I will laugh as much as I did when Napolean Dynamite went running flailing his arms in a really weird way and fell over that fence. It was a lot.

  18. Daneil says:

How much do we cry if he succeeds? I hope and pray that he doesn’t succeed at taking over health care, but if he does it’s going to take more than one election to really fix this mess.

  19. DeckApe says:

I think I’ll burn a Prius at a UAW meeting.

  20. Joe says:

I will laugh at him until he resigns in disgrace. Then I will rest for as many minutes as it takes Justice Roberts to swear Biden in as President. Then, oh god, will I ever laugh!

Not to worry, I’ve been hangin’ with our allies at Moonbattery; it srsly is kinda fun to punch and mock hippies.

reward the behavior you want, and punish the behavior you don’t

Okay, if we have to give cookies for HCRFAIL, then that also means that for every single one of his edicts that he “deems passed,” we can shock ol’ Barry in the nads with an electric cattle prod.

  22. Jimmy says:

Now, Bidness, don’t be wondering off like that!
