The Importance of Honesty

Sean Penn thinks that people who call Hugo Chavez a dictator should be imprisoned. Yeah, I know, but really I just find this all kind of sad. This can probably be traced back to someone telling Sean Penn, “Wow, you’re smart!” and he didn’t catch the sarcasm. And since then Penn has made more and more statements and it’s all just ballooned from there. That’s the problem with Hollywood. In most places, useless, stupid people get constantly reminded of how useless and stupid they are and thus never develop self-esteem which they really should never have. But in Hollywood, useless stupid people can get rich and famous and then lack the people honest enough to tell them what morons they are. If when Sean Penn first started making political statements he was met with nothing but, “Shut up, you moron!”, he’d be a much happier person now.

    Sean Penn thinks…

    Heh, good one.

Oh, I have one: “Barney Frank articulates.”

And all the rest of us would be much happier too.

The problem is that they all foolishly think they are capable of speaking without a script. It’s pathetic. They should wear shirts with a disclaimer: “I’m not a smart person, I just play one on teevee.”

  4. MarkoMancuso says:

Sean Penn thinks people who call the sky blue are racist and should be imprisoned.

One hollywood nincompoop talking to another probably won’t uncover any of the great truths. However, they might be your go-to guys if you had questions about hookers and blow.

Penn was married to Madonna.Where does smart enter into that picture? Besides row boating around New Orleans in a tiny boat with a shotgun, I mean. What was he going to do, rescue a hamster?

    ” You’re a commie, homo-lover.”—->”So?”—->(Insert Punch to Sean Penn’s face here.)

So, he said this from his new home in Venezuela……right? He’s got to be the second richest person living there and since rich people are evil, he’s given away all his money….right? He’s denounced his American citizenship….right?

Life is like a $hit sandwich, the more bread you have, the less $hit you gotta eat. I think it’s about time he ate some $hit.

Some of this post is OK. However, I am having some difficulty believing that FrankJ is actually concerned about Sean Penn’s happiness. I mean. Come on, people. This has to be a joke, right?

But in Hollywood, useless stupid people can get rich and famous

They can certainly get rich in the rest of the country, if not famous. Jobs as, say, vice-president of HR or of marketing pay really well, and once you get one, you’ll be one for life, regardless of how badly you mess up.

  11. Helpful fact source says:

Perhaps Sean Penn is expecting a Venezuelan mansion stocked with ladies for his performance.

But then calling for imprisonment for saying Chavez is a dictator? Overacting dude. Way overacting…

  12. Son of Bob says:

Probably the only thing more ridiculously stupid than the things Sean Penn says is the fact that some form of supposedly news agency would consider anything Sean Penn says to be news.

Statements made by B-list gasbags should be regarded with the same amount of attention as is given to flag burners, which is to point at them & yawn.

When “people” like Sean Penn make conspicuously foolish comments like that, it’s intended to have the same effect as burning an American flag in public: it doesn’t have to have some deep poignant meaning behind because the truth is that it’s only done to provoke a reaction. And when they do get that reaction, then they can cry about their rights being oppressed or their ideology coming under the gun of modern McCarthyism.

This is no different in Hollywood, where whenever the outlandish statement du jour is made by some elitist , they’re applauded for being so courageous. And then they can act like victims if anyone does happen to point out that they’re dumb-asses.

That having been said, let me also say Hugo Chavez is a bloated punk-ass dictator with a tiny penis & you can go suck it, Penn.
