Also betrayal by those who loathe freedom for others.

In a way, I think Brokaw may have done some of our military a disservice: All of them are our greatest generations.
If you are home and thinking about a way to honor our fallen, you may wish to visit the US Military roll of Medal of Honor recipients. The army site maintains the roll for all services:

I cry when I read them. It doesn’t matter which war, our men and women fight and sacrifice with unmatched valor. Note that an asterisk next to a name represents a Medal awarded posthumously — so little for someone who gave so much. The awards from Viet Nam are especially poignant. Many, if not most of the posthumous awards were given to men who jumped on grenades to save their units.
You should also be aware that the Medal is the “Medal of Honor” and not the “Congressional Medal of Honor.” Congress nominates; the President awards.

Whenever I think about their sacrifices, I can never find any words to express my gratitude. All I can say is that I will do my best to honor them by living as a free American, with respect, honor, and courage.

Absolutely.
They fought and died to protect the freedoms and way of life that the democrats are gleefully voting and signing away on a daily basis. So sad. So pathetic.
