An opportunity wasted
Turns out that the president might not be to blame for his latest inability to open a door. Did you see his latest inability to open a door?
Yes, that first one was actually a door, not a window.
As you can see, he’s finally learned how to use a door knob, because he managed to open the second door.
Which means the first of the two doors was locked.
Which means the second of the two doors wasn’t locked.
Somebody didn’t do his job right. Because that somebody left one of the doors unlocked. And now, Obama is back in the White House.
A perfectly good opportunity arose to keep him out, and someone dropped the ball. The country could have been saved by someone simply locking another door. Now, we’re back to going to hell in a handbasket.

Obviously the nation is in dire need of a ‘Czar of Doorification’ to oversee the locking and unlocking of all doors at the White House.

OK, so they lock the doors while he’s away. (Why? Are there a lot of thefts in the neighborhood?) I like that part where “nobody warned the staff that he was coming home.”
Nobody – Someone actually has to do that? They can’t pick up a newspaper over there? You know, the ones that had been reporting it for a day or so in advance? Well, they are government employees, after all…
warned – as opposed to “alerted”, “notified”, “advised”? What the h__ do they play at when he’s away?
the staff – needs replacing. Badly.

The President means well…doors can be tricky. It must be nice being the POTUS, no need to go around to the garage…get the ladder, try to see if any of the upstairs windows are unlocked. Crawl through, finally, and fall gracelessly over piled books and kid’s toys to land painfully on the floor with perhaps something sticky lodged your ear. Oh, and the neighbors just called the cops…gee, it must be perty nice being the President.
