Village Voice Declares IMAO New Poster Child for Intolerance

Posted on June 27, 2012 8:00 am

Well, Frank had the audacity to imply that Democrats lack the intestinal fortitude to lead a nation of rugged individualists, and now the Village Voice has made it a point to declare that calling Democrats “sissies” is a “fag joke“.

How un-nuanced.

Nobody’s saying Democrats are homosexual men (Barney Frank SAYS he is, but he lies a LOT).

We’re saying that Democrats show the wisdom, courage, logic, and leadership of 8-year-old girls.

Which is completely different.

Hey! Take that back! I have an eight year old girl, and she’s pretty brave–except for bugs.

  3. zzyzx says:

While it’s true the Democratic Party is a joke, it’s not so much that it is a fag joke, as that it is a bad joke.

  4. NO_MO_BAMA says:

Isn’t “fag joke” somewhat redundant? Kinda like Obama joke. and isn’t refusing to allow Normal Pride Day intolerant of…them?

  5. Tony Hooker says:

As the father of a very courageous girl scout, I find that comparison insulting.

  6. Jimmy says:

    It takes a village.
    It takes a voice.
    It takes a village voice.

It takes a village idiot with a voice in the village of idiot voices… on foodstamps.

    THAT’s the Democrat Party.

  7. DamnCat says:

Why does The Village Voice assume that any mention sissies or men who are unmanly must necessarily refer to homosexuals? That seems awfully bigoted to me. There are plenty of macho gays. Take, for example, The Village Voice’s own neighbors The Village People.

  8. Frank J. says:

Perhaps “Village Voice” is the PC term for “Village Idiot.”

Haha! That article was posted two years ago! Harvey, you sure know how to keep on top of the hot-button issues. :)

“Pride Week’s a fun time to rightblogger-watch, because rightbloggers just don’t know what to do about the gays.”

Gay activists can’t handle the fact that many of us look at their “lifestyle” the same way we look at a relative addicted to drugs. We don’t spend every day thinking about the fact that they’re gay (or that they need a fix) and injecting the topic into every conversation or facet of their daily lives…they do. We don’t want to beat up that addict, we don’t hate the addict, we just don’t cheerlead them doing something which clearly denigrates their quality of life, nor do we want them to acquire a platform in which to attempt to convince our children how wonderful their addiction is. For us to “support” their habit is the equivalent of supporting that friend or relative shooting heroin. Clearly, they feel it’s something they need – we feel it’s something that’s destroying their lives. So, love the sinner, hate the sin.

Unfortunately, gay activists, Hollywood media, and “mainstream” news media have framed the debate as: Accept every facet of someone’s life or it will indicate that you hate them. It’s a false debate.

    that’s “non-nuanced”. alliteration, donchknow.

  12. cdog says:

So according to the Village Voice, if you like buttseks, you have to support Communism. Gee, it’s so obvious now.

  13. Bob in Feenicks says:

Ironically, it’s the liberals I know who are most likely to use the word ‘gay’ as a pejorative.

    Congratulations! I’m jealous….
