Is This Any Way to Run a Workshop?
Schools in Minnesota closed for a two-day conference that included a workshop on how to teach about Islam.
Wonder if it featured the phrase “duck and cover”?

Where is ussjimmycarter when we need him?
Minnesota also recently banned its students from viewing online curricula (like ‘Coursera’) without approval. My teaching sister calls Minnesota the “armpit of America’s public school system.” Is she right?

“Wonder if it featured the phrase “duck and cover”?”
No, Harvey, I bet it didn’t. Also, it should have featured the phrase “lock and load.”

Lesson 1: No matter how many people they butcher, never ever call them “terrorists”.
Lesson 2: They’re completely justified doing whatever they do, it’s our fault.
Lesson 3: Denigrate all other religions as much as possible to instill in them that Islam is the only “good” religion. It must be, the teacher never says anything bad about it, right?
Please pay your union dues on your way out, if it wasn’t for us, you’d actually be working today.
Now get out there and dumb down your students, these contested elections are getting expensive for all of us!

Oddly enough, I found out from my sons today that all of their teachers are voting for Romney.
And they both go to public schools.
And I live in Ohio.
Just fyi…

“The union describes it this way: “Used around the world, persona dolls are lifelike dolls with personalities and stories you create. The dolls become members of your classroom community and children learn by empathizing with the dolls and giving them heartfelt advice on the same kinds of situations they struggle with daily in the classroom and on the playground.”
Yeah..Do you think they show the female dolls in Burkas, walking behind any male, not allowed to vote or drive?…Oh, no, of course not=- because they are not allowed to attend school !!!!!!!!!!!!!

If they had sponsored a workshop on “How to teach about Christianity”, the ACLU, Americans United for Separation of Church and State, and every other liberal organization would have filed suit within minutes.
