I blame Harry Reid.
Since the Senate hasn’t passed a budget in over 3 years, the annual Federal spending is stuck at 2009 levels (after addition of TARP and the Stimulus) because that’s where Harry wants it.
So we’ve got an army of federal bureaucrats with an extra 1.3 trillion dollars to spend every year, even though their annual budgets before that were more than adequate to meet all their legitimate needs.
For them it’s like finding a broken ATM that keep spitting out cash.
They just can’t sit on their windfall cash, so they spend it on dumba$$ stuff like ‘promoting’ green energy.
Not discovering green energy, or producing green energy, just promoting it.
Hey! Wouldn’t it be great if there was such a thing as ‘green energy’?
Ah So!
Here’s 6 billion dollars!

And some people wonder why we are on the edge of a fiscal cliff! Maybe we wouldn’t have so much debt if we didn’t waste money in such ridiculous ways. Honestly! I can think of alot to say about this, but most of it is not suitable for mixed company. Fiddlesticks!
