   … and it’s not only smaller, but does more, does it faster, costs less and uses less energy.
   It reminds me of an old joke from the 80′s – “Soviet Scientists proudly announced today their development of the worlds largest micro-chip.”

   Yeah…but it’s hard to annoy the neighbors by cranking up The Lyres or The Ramones to full blast on an iPod like you could with a JVC boombox.

   Sure the boombox took like 50 D-cell batteries, but you don’t have to run an extension cord to the roof of your three-decker in order to get juice for your iPod docking station and speaker set up when you’re looking to set out a deck chair and knock back a few long-necks on a summer afternoon.
