Then the President would have reigned by fiat, making up regulations without authority, while ignoring Congress and questioning the legitimacy of the Supreme Court.

Kinda like Obama does now.

Funny.

However, what would please me to no end would be the SCOTUS settling the next First Amendment case without using the 1A. A ruling of, “We checked the Articles and see no authority granted for what the gov’t is trying to do. This is before the protections granted in 1A.”

That would make my day.
