I am a big supporter of gun control. Because there are so many people out of work I think we need the government to step in and support gun control. From this point forward, all ammunition used at the firing range will be tax deductible; that is the best way I know to support gun control. If the Federal gubment does not help pay for ammunition, how will poor people ever learn how to shoot straight?

While I’m not a gun owner, I know exactly what you’re talking about. When I lived in Silicon Valley, I would sometimes visit
Gryphon Stringed Instruments in Shallow Alto on Saturday morning. There were a handful of guys of whom one would be in
there on any given Saturday morning, convinced that the new $4,000 Taylor that just arrived was going to make him a better
guitarist than the $3,500 Collings that he’d bought not six weeks before. The idea of spending that time practicing rather than
drooling over a new guitar never entered their minds.

Actualy, Harv, I do like the .45ACP. I have owned and shot them a lot over my lifetime. It is simply that the revolver is the best handgun for a person who does not care to shoot for sport. No safety, no worry about the oil coming off the slide rails and the unlubde gun not functioning, just six for sure.
And, yes, Harv, the old Model 10 was my first duty revolver when I went on the job. Traded it in for a Model 19 and then when the Ruger Security Six in stainless came along and I carried that ’til I took my pension during the Great Migration from revolvers to autoloaders in law enforcement.
And during MY day there were no cases of one suspect being shot at some forty-odd times.

Bob that was a great comment, maybe bacon worthy even. So I may have to borrow it from you.

I am the old guy, but with an H&K P30S, but with 8 from my left hand and 7 from my right.

When guns are outlawed – only outlaws children will accidentally shoot themselves in the head.
