   A perfect depiction of why I became Iowa Jim in May 2010, having been Silicon Valley Jim for decades before that. I haven’t been back since.

   The best bumper sticker I’ve seen on this subject was several years ago: “Help Save California: When You Leave, Take Someone With You.”

   Unfortunately, too many of the escapees take their California governance ideas with them and infect the areas they move to. They don’t seem to grasp that all the liberal crap they loved about California also means laws, rules, regulations, and taxes, accompanied by loss of freedom, and loss of jobs. Places like Texas and Oklahoma are great places for the businesses that used to be in California precisely because we are NOT like California. If you want to move your business to where you can actually afford to stay in business, that is good … great, in fact. Just leave your commielib ideas and attitudes in California, we don’t want them here.
