   I love the current whine from a surprisingly large number of people about “why do you *need* an assault weapon?”

   Some of them I just punch in the face because they are hippies.

   The rest of them I say why do you feel you *need* to know my business about what I need and don’t need.

   And if I am feeling especially ornery I ask them WTF is an Assault Weapon? Its really great watching them sputter and cough and finally admit they don’t know.

   The second amendment does grant gun ownership rights. It guarantees that the Government shall not infring on gun ownership rights.

   The framers recognized the rights as God given.

   Chip ditto on the assault weapons… got questioned by my brother in law over Christmas dinner. “Why do you need so many guns”. I smiled and told him “It is the new currency”

   I was asked the same thing by a daughter’s in-laws.
   I told them the others were spares incase my Grandson couldn’t load fast enough.
   It worked, for the first time, they actually had nothing to say!
