Piers is only trying to Alert Americans to the FACT that America has a problem that other countries do not have. America 34000 people per year shot by their own natives. Britain just 34. Look at the figures around the world and then look again at the second admendment and think wether for the sake of your children it should not be admended – not necessarily done away with. You cannot fight violence with violence! Piers is worried about his own children. We should all be woried about our own children.

Ideally-emphasis on that-ideally, the constitution is only applicable to native-born or naturalized citizens of these once-united states.

However, in the newly-born year of 2013, it may apply to whoever Obama or John Roberts damn-well feels it does.

As for the ever-snide, snarky, snooty, toffey-nosed, imperious, Saxon git bastid, Piers Morgan…well…how y’all liking the Irish now, folks?

Good on Morgan for his unintentioned elevation of the cultural stock of the Micks.

It’s just that sort of unctuous, better-than-thou attitude that has worked against the Brits for centuries. (Cockneys and Liverpuddlians notwistanding as most of them have more than a few leprechauns and gruagahs in their ancestral woodpiles.)

You don’t catch that grief from the likes of Sean Hannity, Conan O’Brien, or Craig Ferguson. (Fallon, on the other hand, is one of those touchy-feely, watered-down Irish.)

Boot Morgan’s arse back to the Picadilly Circus rough-traders for a thorough sorting-out and offer his slot to Denis Leary.

So… I’m guessing those protections only apply to non-citizens within US borders?

Actually, the Constitution applies, in general, to non-citizens, too. A non-citizen may not, for example, be compelled to testify against himself in a criminal case.
