Thorium … Thorium is the state chemical. When I was a kid in wayne in the 80s there was a WR Grace superfund site full of thorium in town. Always struck me as odd that it was separated from the nearby neighborhood by a 6 foot chain link fence. You’d literally see a guy in full radiation suit working the site on one side while a guy was cleaning up his yard weed whacking along the fence in shorts and a t-shirt on the other. Good ol dirty jersey, love it or leave it.
